The hope and anchor is a lovely mixture of super friendly staff members, beautiful garden , exceptional music, I was lucky enough to attend the kitchen testing , it seems some amazing selection of food is almost ready to be served! And the collection of drinks is superb , wolfpack beer, there latest addition was exceptional, hope & anchor exceeded my expectations in every mile p.s the guiness is really special in here something about the line configuration

Slightly tucked away from the centre of town, the Hope & Anchor is worth the short walk! One of my favourite pubs in Wokingham. Great drinks. Friendly staff. And the garden - an oasis! Bengal Tiger was on tap and scrumptious too; hoppy, earthy, and with a silky mouth-feel.

Great pub with live music, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was actually very good. I tried a burger topped with pulled pork and it was amazing, highly recommend!

This is a lovely traditional pub with modern twists just a stone's throw from the station and good pitstop before you go to town. Has a garden and plenty of space. Plus a brilliant selection of drinks.

We love this pub! We have eaten and drank here many times over the last few months and will continue to do so, bringing friends and family too. We enjoy the friendly vibe, little nooks you can sit in depending on your mood and variety of drinks. We love the varied genres of rock music from all eras, so it's always great to hear their playlist. Lots of people socialise here playing the variety of games from the shelves inside the pub, and having a couple of dart boards to hand keeps thinks interesting in the week. I've even bought myself a set of darts in anticipation I may get a little better! 🤪 We would love for them to bring in a pool table which we would absolutely enjoy. Who knows, may even set up a pub league if they do! 😁 We love the food fusion of cultures, and the burgers are homemade, even the bread! Saturday nights are band nights, so rocking out to a fusion of Jazz, blues, rock, pop rock.... (to name a few) has been a highlight. All in all, it has a very good clientele and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you, Nader and Canan, for your hospitality. 🤘

Not too bad. It was pretty late when we went here and not many people were in the pub. Good dartboard.

Excellent live music bar in central Wokingham. Very friendly staff and supportive landlord. Looking forward to trying the food on a future visit.

First time eating here a d the food was excellent 👌 beef brisket roll was very good, plenty of it and a decent side of chips. Great selection of beers, enough to keep everyone happy. A little quiet on the Friday night but music was a good selection and it got livelier later on. Also during the day it's dog friendly.

This placed pissed me off a lot as there was a big dog without a leash that my daughter did not appreciate. I told the owner to keep the dog away from her and she refused saying that she could not care less. My daughter is 6 and has been attached by a dog before and is afraid of dogs. The lady behind the bar couldn’t be less interested in my complaint. This is just to show that they don’t respect the wishes of a small girl that is afraid of dogs. All I wanted is the dog away from her! I am done with this place. If I could give them -5 stars I would.

Popped in here for a beer and they popped menu’s on the table as I arrived. Turns out they do burgers so I ordered one and was not disappointed. When I bbq at home for friends and family I go to Stefan butchers in town. The H&A get their meet there too! They do an amazing home made sauce which made the burger, it is so good. They also do a brioche potato bread bun which is home made and it suits the burger perfectly. Defo recommend this place, I will be back! They do music at weekends as well so will give that a go too, watch out for a follow up review! lol
