Awesome buffet. Good times

We went here during the Christmas break in December 2021 and so it was peak period with staff shortages ( due to covid). The service was a bit slow (understandable given circumstances), however the food was delicious with big portion servings. During dinner we were entertained with trivia which was a nice surprise as we did not know it was on. It kept us Entertained while we waited for our food. The premises are refurbished , modern and very comfortable Would recommend to others.

Normal Thursday night, we’ve ordered 6:45 then 8:10 PM they told us no pasta available! They’ve accepted the order, waited nearly 2 hours we’ve come here all the way from Tamworth hungry and the approach was “would you like a refund?” After 2 hours wait!!! Terrible terrible service! The area is nice but people come back to a venue because of good customer service! Would I recommend it he’ll no! Staff talk to your co workers and communicate what’s not available and not! Cut the long menu if no stock available, don’t take orders!

Great fresh food.Thai beef salad to die for. Properly baked light fluffy pizza. For a club...great economical good food.

Awesome food, friendly staff and drinks that are innovative and creative. I highly recommend espresso martini if you need a pick-me-up. The pizza is honestly the best I've had in ages, just watch out for pepperoni if you don't like spicy (I loved it but made my lips numb for half an hour.. so good!)

I visited the Builders Club with some work colleagues for a meal at Platform 61. The sign in process was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. There are a number of options for dining at the club and the main venue is Platform 61. The food is good and the servings generous. The several bars scattered throughout the club have a great range of beverages with the dedicated Gin bar having over 360 variations of the classic spirit. On the day we attended we found ourselves being in the location where Tuesday night Trivia is held. What a pleasant surprise… Our little group decided to join in and it was a really enjoyable evening.

Went to enjoy the buffet lunch and found Platform 61 in its place. Decided to try the $10 lunch special of a chicken snitzel and chips with mushroom gravy. The snitzel was cooked perfectly as was the chips, however even though the gravy was also excellent for an extra $2.50 the amount offered was disappointing at best. Overall the service was professional and friendly with the meal being ready within ten minutes of ordering

Whenever up in wgong visiting family and friends we all always like to go Master builders club for catchup and lunch. Great feed. Great price. Nice atmosphere. MM

Haven't been for many years, it's had a refurbishment done. Door person was lovely so were the coffee bar & dining room staff. Wanted to take a Builders Club Monopoly Board Game, back home to W.A. with me but they are all sold, shame, it would have been fun to play, enjoyed my visit, last one was 15yrs ago.🙂

Lovely club with nice food. Only gripe I have is the air conditioning in the bistro is set far too cold. My wife and I have been there many times and each time find ourselves moving around in this area to try and find a less colder area. Everywhere else in the club is fine. For god's sake management reduce the coldness...I have heard other complaints from bistro diners too re this.

Ordered a garlic bread, chicken schnitzel and surf and turf, was informed to expect a one hour wait; no issue being that it was a Saturday night dinner service. 1.5 hours later; received the schnitzel. 2 hours from order time, still no garlic bread or surf and turf. Lady at the counter said it was next up! Pure bs. Requested a refund as we had our 1 year old with us and had to get him home for bed. No compensation for having to go home hungry. Won't be returning.

Great venue, amaaazing gin bar!! Only issue was we went to order food and the staff behind the restaurant near the entry were rude and it was difficult to order. Will try again and hopefully that aspect improves! But genuinely one of the best cocktails I've ever had! A new one, not on the menu yet but you should order it!! (Bubble bunny). We have gone here a few times now. Service is always slow but they are increasingly friendly.

Fabulous meal at Stonegrill Steakhouse. Hadn't been to Master Builders Club for many years. Very attractive presentation in all areas.

The Refurbished club is absolutely beautiful 5 stars however sadly the food was over priced Spare ribs $35 only 3 small ribs no meat only fat the chicken meals were over cooked & they forgot our food we waited an hour & a half & had to ask 3 times for it & there was no apology at all infact they didnt seem to care less about forgetting us! Appalling customer service & sadly we wernt the only ones complaining & No they were not busy 1 star im afraid

It was my partners birthday and we were both working PM shifts at the hospital so I phoned to check what time closing was and last drinks were was verbally told 0330. My partner and I walked there at around 0015, a security guard was outside the front doors as we walked toward the entrance. Just before we got to the front door they entered inside and as we came up to the electric doors (not even 2 minutes behind the security) these electric doors were suddenly locked. I looked inside and there was someone behind the bar and the security guard we had just seen who had very clearly seen us waking over (he looked in our direction for a good 30 seconds before walking inside), was standing there not 10 metres from the entrance, looked at us standing there and turned their back to us. We tried to motion for them to open the doors and nothing so I naturally i phoned several times only now to be directed to a voicemail, put on hold, only to then be hung up on over and over again. Don’t state you are open until 03:30 unless you actually are. It had just become my partners birthday come midnight and all we wanted to do was have a glass of champagne after a long shift and after walking quite far to get there only to be very clearly (and rudely) ignored made me quite annoyed. Even after phoning the venue to double check prior and being told It was definitely 03:30 closing time when I phoned at 23:15. Unacceptable behaviour. Either change your hours or sort your staff out, it’s false advertising and frankly frustrating when a simple night is completely ruined even after you have made the effort to plan and check. Ignoring patrons at the entrance in such a clear and rude fashion is also quite disgusting. Not exactly the behaviour I would expect from the vibe you’re company has promoted.

We're delighted it's the same as every other time we've been here... friendly welcome staff at front desk, lovely young lady taking our order at bistro, friendly and humourous guy behind the bar taking drink orders. Meals are always delicious and delivered in a reasonable time. It's a popular place, there's usually large groups dining there when we come in for lunch. That speaks volumes to enthusiastic frequent diners like us.

Pretty poor having main meals served before Entrees. When questioning the Staff out come the Entrees. So the mains went cold while the Entrees were eaten. The explanation was the kitchen staff decided to serve everything together. $175 poorly spent, would have been better off going to a restaurant. Won't be going back for awhile. On the bright side, they make the best pizzas in town. Will definitely order them as take away.

No bistro! That's it! Finis! Kaput! Bye bye builders club forever.

Had a function in the loft and the bar staff were lovely, the food was good and Patty (amazing bartender) made us some fantastic, super creative, well balanced gin cocktails that were the highlight of the night! Would highly recommend all gin lovers (and non gin lovers) to check out the gin bar at he builders club!

I went here with the family on the weekend. It was the first time we'd been here since it had been renovated. It definitely has a fresh new feel to it. The multiple bars are great, along with the restaurant. The gaming area is proportionate for the clubs size and has many options available to choose from The overall experience was 9/10 Definitely recommended

I took my mum to the gin bar for the first time tonight after talking it up for the past couple of months and it did not disappoint. The botanist gin bar staff were amazing. Paddy/Patty, Matt and Corey made the experience better with their recommendations and expertise when making cocktails based on flavours we both liked. Can’t recommend more.

We live on the Gold Coast and quite often came down here before COVID and the old building. We came down again now and we were surprised that the change to the club. It's absolutely fantastic. We look forward to coming back soon.

Watched F1 here. Loads of fans rocked up, very reasonable price for food and drinks. Big screen. They have a calendar on their website which lists whats going to be on the big screen. Ample parking spaces. Would recommend.

First time visiting since the rebuild (yes I know it’s been rebuilt for some time). Dinner on a Tuesday night was very busy, but plenty of seating within the club. Typical order at the counter bistro style restaurant, only one lady serving which was most probably more frustrating for her than us. Plenty of specials, the meals looked good. Surf and turf was good, steak cooked as requested although the scallops were a little over cooked. From our table the pizzas were also very good.

Love stonegrill, great customer service. Order your food. Cook your protein on a hot rock to your liking great experience. Highly recommend

I had a unit around the corner for over 20 years until 2018, when sadly, I had to sell. I love Wollongong, and this club. I went back on Thursday for the first time in many years. Had obviously not seen the renos. They have done a very good job. It is very nice. Food in bistro was good. Do yourself a favour and check it out

Don't miss the roast. It's a shame so many clubs have stopped doing the simple daily or Sunday roast. We were too late for the pork one, it was all gone. The locals in the know had it chomped up by 12.15. Really enjoyed it 😊

Great food, fantastic atmosphere, this isn't the builders club of old. If you haven't been in a while you should check it out. Stone Grill is amazing value and the food, especially the pizzas at Platform 61 is top notch. Gin lovers need to check out The Botanist Bar, and the Cafe offers a range of amazing snacks, cakes and coffee. The highlight is Legends Sports Bar. Get in and check it out.

Food is good, a lot of parking space but it's smaller parking spots so be careful when parking

My friend and I went here last Tuesday (ANZAC DAY) for a quiet drink. We were greeted by a staff member named Patty. My friend and I were both impressed with his service. Nothing was a problem and then he came over to tell us that this side of the bar was closing, could I get you ladies another drink before I close it off for evening. Of course, we got another drink. Patty made our drinks run it up and brought the EFTPOS machine over to us. Outstanding service Patty and I your management team acknowledge your your work.

Good service But more than 1 hour wait for the foods. Kids were really hungry. Howere, we still don't how long to get our foods. Being here about 6:30pm, now, 8:00pm still no foods coming.

The builders club have done amazing Reno's, it looks so inviting, the food is excellent and the coffee shop offers great coffee and sweets. Entry staff were very welcoming and informative on joining as a member. Happy to bring friends along to visit and enjoy the layout and meals.

We very much enjoy attending the Club - lovely ambience, great restaurant, good service and the Botanist Bar is exceptional in the extraordinary range of gins available.

My husband and I came here for lunch on a Sunday and although they were quite busy, service was good and quick. Good selection on their menu and the quality of food was excellent. Will definitely come back again. Like to give a shout out to the staff who signed us in. He was very polite and pleasant. Really made our day!

Always gone to the builders for schnitzels and UFC. The new renovations look good I'm excited to see what they will do with the place.

Run down place. Very dark entrance and smelly. Staff not welcoming. First time their we felt intimidated and cast outsider. They need to learn from shell harbour League's club. It's much nicer and friendly place.

Terrible service, rude obnoxious offensive and shameless upper management only concerned about pokie participants... Just ask Mr bone who perceives patrons as irritation if they are not slapping away...dreadful... Continues to go downhill.

I walked in expecting the old Chinese buffet, but instead I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the cafe served a decent meal I had the surf and Turf , which wasn't too bad. The coffee shop has dessert and decent coffee It was quite crowded on a Friday night, so it is well patronised Car park was full, had to park on street Free wifi.

As an interstate visitor, the behaviour of manager Lincoln leaves a lot to be desired. The management skills of this individual require attention. Luckily I wont be returning.

The staff on Christmas night were amazing i would like to thank Adam for a great intro over the phone, Beth for fantastic dinner service and cannot forget Michael for his bar service. The food was to die for and the chef's did an amazing job. We have recommended this club to all our friends. Platform 61 is just fantastic. Well done to all the staff anf management at this great venue. See you all again next time we are in wollongong. Cheers Mitchel and Karen.

Probably the worst club meal I have ever had! I ordered the cutlets and it came with maybe ten chips which were cold, hard pumpkin and a bit of broccoli. I paid $32 for this meal and left hungry. Not happy!!!!
