The go to place for a decent feed in the illawarra. Their chicken schnitzel rolls have been a staple in the illawarra for years.

One of the best chicken burger chains I have been to in Australia. Great value as the burgers are huge. I got a Hawaiian chicken burger and I was not disappointed. The taste and pineapple rings were on point. I also ordered a side of potatoes wedges and got a heaping amount, probably good enough to share between two. The drink selection is unique and makes for a good reason to return.

Most are good, some are great, few are unique. Chiko's is in a class of its own. First for taste. Perfect chicken, perfect flavour. Second consistency, the flavour has not changed in the 25 years I have been a customer. Third, absolutely top quality, never changes. Fourth impeccable cleanliness. Fifth, courtesy and service speed unmatched. Chiko's is exceptional not only in Australia but also the world. If you don't believe me, try them, if you disagree, tell me. If you follow my ratings, you will notice that I never comment. These guys are different. They are a cut above everyone else.

SO RUDE! The owner is an A-hole, I was asked to move on after 30 minutes in the car park and there was no one else in the car park at 530pm then he had the nerve to tell me to never come back again! I am happy to never go there again! Food was real average as well. I will be telling all my friends about this. Unnecessary. SMH

One of the worst customer experiences I had in my life. The cashier was extremely short with my girlfriend and I, staring at us awkwardly while we were asking basic questions about the deals, made us feel incredibly bad, on top of all that, gave us the wrong order. Do not recommend.

Must say the service from the lovely man at the register serving us was fantastic! My fries with gravy were yummy 😋 3 stars given because there was a bug on my lettuce in my fish burger... I ended up throwing the whole thing out :(

This place use to be good, something happened after 2020 I ate here last week (NY Schnitzel and mini wedges). Which led to the rest of that day violently vomiting and diarrhoea, was close to calling the hospital. Not cool Chicko's, I am turned off you forever.

After hearing so much about Chicko's I finally managed to go and was not disappointed at all. Firstly ordering experience was super easy. Large menu boards everywhere also there are 4 self serve kiosks which makes it easy as well. There are lots of items where you can choose which comes with free drinks. Finally the portion sizes was so big!! Comparing food size to amount spent, it is totally worth it. Don't miss out of the chilli salt on the chips as well because it gives it the edge!

Food was nice. I had the calamari and chips. The serving was generous but I prefer my calamari with less batter. I probably should have chosen something chicken based like a burger as this seems to be their specialty. Next time I’m in Wollongong I’ll try some with chicken it in like a burger. Staff were nice and service very organised.

Texas chicken are very decent size, don't think there'd be many other shops that can beat it with the same price. Tried a few other items too, all fresh and great taste. The gentleman who served us is a true gentleman, patient and helpful, he's the star of the shop.

Went there for the first time today , Service was outstanding, Ralph the owner is an absolute gentleman, he even gave us some free delicious wings to try. Price is very reasonable and food was soo tasty! Will definitely be back again.

The chicken schnitzel burgers are dressed with too much mayonnaise making them a sloppy mess and drowning out the taste of the chicken, some basic quality control when making them is required.

Visited Wollongong on holiday and we visited here 3 times over 3 days because the chicken burgers are soooo good! And such a reasonable price! The guy who served us (the owner I think) was super friendly, thank you so much! Highly recommend!!

Craved for some deep fried chicken saw the big line thought I would try it out. The deep fried chicken was dry. The batter for the wings was way too salty. Convenient location and quick service.

Tried their two burgers: Mexican and Greek. The mexican one was good. Not spicy at all for my Indonesian lip but it was quite tasteful, especially the sauce. However, the Greek one was disappointing. Too much cheese, tasted like a cream. One thing for tourists like me: the large burger was VERY LARGE

These guys are doing a great job! They were quick to adapt to being covid safe. Self serve Kiosks to order from or safe sheilded registers. Highly recommend the chicken burgers and chicken pieces. Quick and efficient. Always great food. Great variety of salads and burgers. Pick a meal up here and walk to the beach for a picnic. Must try if you're in the area.

Used to stop in here and Figtree stores while I lived local, decided to stop in during our travels back to the gong, still has awsome food and great service, you can't eat in anymore, I guess those changes were made for covid but that not means the kitchen is the whole building so they can process orders faster. Still a line of people waiting to get lunch of a Sunday but not a long wait. Unfortunately roast chickens aren't available at the Wollongong site anymore but they are still available at the Figtree store which isn't far away. Food was filling and tasty, I had the Parmigiana burger and my girlfriend had the Aussie burger, both with chips and a coke in the meal, we got some wings with the 2 meals, and neither of us could finish everything as it was so filling. Will always be back at chickos when in town for the friendly family owned service and fantastic quality foods!

Chicko's is always perfect. You know what you're gonna get, which is some type of beach side fast food level of quality. Big burgers, big salads, all kinda just thrown into the bag/bowl in a way that makes it feel like Uncle Tony from down the road made lunch as thanks for mowing his lawn.

Chicko's is one of the few Australian franchises I can say I'm proud of, not to mention it being a local one too. I don't think there's been a single time I've left disappointed. Every single time I go here I order the same damn thing and it is made the exact same damn way that I've enjoyed it, and this has been over a period of years. Quality and Value has been it's core and it most definitely surpasses those values every visit. It will be sad but bittersweet times when this store closes.

Although I enjoy the pea's in the Schnitzel Dinner meal , I would happily trade 3/4 of them for a piece of Roast Pumpkin to accompany the the Baked Potato. Otherwise nice meal when you don't feel like cooking but still hungry = generous portion 👍👌

Located opposite WIN stadium in Wollongong. Great joint for chicken based options especially schintzel and burgers. Numerous choices in various sizes. Reasonable prices and ample quantity of food. Quality is reasonable and definitely worth the prices. The staff are friendly. There is no dine in option and it's all takeaway. We ordered the chicken Schintzel dinner pack and the large mexican chicken burger. Recommended in the locality.
