I love playa bowls especially this location usually the staff at this location is very on it and upbeat but today I was BEYOND disappointed. I ordered my bowl way ahead of time like when I was at the linden train stop only to arrive & find out it hasn’t even been made which was okay I wasn’t in a crazy rush. My bowl though was an absolute mess bases were layered on top of each other instead of side to side & no honey & peanut butter on top of my fruits. I have no idea what was up with the staff this morning but I hope they do better!

This is a great dessert and smoothie place, not a luncheon. The playa Bowls have a lot fruit and granola and Nutella, chia seeds, etc. Do not expect to go for a luncheon salad that you might get at Whole Foods. The playa bowls are more like a healthy sundae. I didn’t try the smoothies, some of which have kale as an ingredient but I am not really a smoothie person.

I enjoy the bowls but my issues are with the staff. Twice I requested extra peanut just to get home and they barely cput any peanut butter on it. I even said I know it's a extra charge so charge me. I went around 5:50pm on last night and again requested extra peanut butter. I didn't stand over the young guy that was making my order because I didn't want to be rude. I walked over and politely reminded him that I asked for extra peanut butter and he rudely said "I'm not done yet". I get home and not to my surprise I barely had any. He was rude from the beginning to the end and not once did I yell or speak down to him. It just seem that they don't understand what extra is ,but they know how to charge you for it. Even though this location is much closer to me, I rather travel to another location to get the service I want.

It’s so unfortunate that I have to write this terrible review about an establishment that I have loved and frequented at least once a week for the past few months. Normally I have an amazing experience with great service at the Playa bowl in Woodbridge NJ, however on Sunday I had such a bad experience that I don’t think I will ever support this establishment again. A worker by the name of Gianna F was so Rude and nasty to me when I was ordering a bowl for my daughter and I to share. I placed an order that I have gotten on several occasion and she disrespectfully insinuated that I was lying and there was no way I received that order from this location. I wanted the bowl to have half almond butter and half Nutella as I can not have Nutella but my daughter loves it. I even offered to pay extra for the add on. She insisted this was not possible so I changed the order to avoid any problems because I did not want to ruin the lovely evening I was having with my child. Gianna then proceeds to make my order incorrect and when I brought it up to the counter to let her know that she had given me the wrong base she tried going back and forth with me stating that what she had given me is what I asked for when it indeed was not. I asked for the stupid Cupid base which is a mixture of strawberry and bananas and she gave me half straw berry and half banana. When I told her I wanted the stupid Cupid base she claimed that they do not carry a base that is mixed with strawberry and banana when it is on the board and I order it all the time. She then proceeds to tell me she will remake it and she remakes it with the stupid Cupid base that I originally asked for. The one that she told me they did not have. Gianna then hands me the bowl with out a lid and proceeds to walk away. The whole time she’s making shady comments, giving me nasty looks and just being out right nasty towards me for no reason at all. I guess she woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided to take it out on the paying customers. I was so upset that my daughter and I left because I did not want to be in that place for another minute. My entire family buys from this location and we have never had an experience this awful in all the times we visited. Playa bowl has lost me as a customer. I suggest you train this staff member to deliver better customer service and to learn how to interact with customers. This is unacceptable for her to act in that manner with the people who are supporting the business that puts a check in her pocket. I am disgusted by her actions especially in-front of my daughter.

Literally the worst store I’ve ordered from. You lose point by ordering on door dash and Uber eats. I called to the store asked to substitute the full banana portion spoke to someone in the store. And bowl arrived wrong. 😑 I sucks that you can’t add notes on DD or UE Woodbury location is my least favorite location and I go to them all. 🤦🏾‍♀️ said part is I usually order from this one the most. No more. Pay 2x for the order to be wrong.

I've been a frequent customer at Playa Bowls in Woodbridge, NJ, and I've never been disappointed. Their bowls always hit the spot. The quality, taste, and friendly staff keep me coming back for more. It's a must-visit for any acai bowl enthusiast!

Your products are always of great quality. Which is so important nowadays. Especially when companies are cutting costs. The staff at the Edison New Jersey store is fantastic! Always get friendly and great service.
