So sad to see the Bellevue location close but at least this place is still in operation. Location is perfect. Many former options around to keep you coming back in the area. The service was very slow unfortunately but that didn't dampen our mood; food was tasty. The standout was the Brussels sprouts!! It was cooked perfectly. Just know this place currently does not serve hard liquor. They do have a tasty wine flight and beers. Definitely will be coming back.

We enjoyed a lunch in the outdoor seating area. Service was on point, friendly, and informative about the foods on the menu. We had a few questions which the waiter was happy to answer. Ordered the mussels, a salad, and a burger with sweet potato fries. All of the food was excellently prepared, plated well, and had nuances to the flavors to keep things interesting. I also like that they have outdoor seating and that parking was free. There are many wine and beer establishments within walking distance, which look fun to check out as well. On the next visit, we may spend more time in Woodinville to explore. Purple fits the bill nicely for a leisurely outdoor lunch with food that is slightly elevated but not pretentious at all.

This is in a nice location & has great parking. Make a reservation if you can. Their selection is not to robust however they perfect what they have. The food is delicious & the service is outstanding! Reasonable priced & good portions as well!

Great service; food was tasty. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Just know this place currently does not serve hard liquor, but there will be a tequila bar nearby opening later this year. They do have a tasty wine flight and beers.

Love this spot. Going to get lost in all the new bars/high end restaurants that will be cropping up in the next year. Food and service has been great for years. Always have wonderful wines to savor and like they offer 1/2 pours, so you can try 2!

Everything was amazing. The service was spectacular, the wine was great, and the atmosphere was outstanding, warm, and inviting. The scallops were fine perfectly and the bed of wild rice mixture was incredible. My son loved his beef Bolognese as well.

Nice place for weekend brunch! I really enjoyed my meal here. I got the crab benedict and it was delicious (Has a nice lemon flavor)! The mimosa fight was also good. I liked the peach one the most. Thought the side salad was very underwhelming (should of got the potatoes). Overall nice place and the service was great!

Good food and drinks but they need to invest in a few heaters outdoors. All guests that were seated outside struggled with the cold. I think a few propane heaters is a must and worth the investment that the management should consider. We won’t be back until spring unless there is a change in this aspect. I know my friends have the same opinion.

We went to Purple for our anniversary and had a really nice time. The food is always excellent, and so are the wine pairings. Our waitress, I wish I remembered her name (purple hair), was so friendly and helpful in picking out just the right food and wine for us picky eaters. We will return!

Positives: Good food and wine options. Both of us really enjoyed our meals. Flexible on adjusting meals to accommodate food restrictions. Friendly staff. Challenges: Limited parking. Poor acoustics. Slow seating time despite nearly empty restaurant. Some menu items seem overpriced.

I had a good experience at this restaurant. I liked absolutely everything, but the starter was my favorite, Gorgonzola stuffed date. The winter beer is also very good.

Love the food and staff are fairly decent at being attentive. However the chocolate mousse was overly salty fluff with a hint of chocolate. Nothing about this desert was satisfying and the blue berry on top was the only authentically good thing about it. NOT GOOD and I highly RECOMMEND AVOIDING. Any jello cup at the store would deliver a better experience. Please do something different with this horrible tribute to chocolate! The menu does a lot of things right but the mousse is a fail.

There were a good amount of things that were wrong with our order and it seemed decently overpriced for what it was. The outside seating was too close, definitely less than 6 feet apart. The wine selection is good and the crab cakes are good.

The crab cakes have amazing as was the fish. The pasta was good but I would have likes some meat in it. Overall the place was good for a visit but I don’t see a reason to revisit. Ohh, the hospitality and the ambiance was great!

For the price it was on the edge of alright. Compared to all the wineries around, drinks were expensive. Food was decent just overpriced for what it was compared to the places around.

Melissa made this one of the best times here, and that's saying something because coming to the original Purple is always a great time. Thank you Melissa!!

We dined-in for brunch on their lovely heated and covered patio. They’re also very dog friendly and were happy to allow our pup on the patio- they even brought him a water dish. The brunch was delicious. For food we had a crab cake benedict, biscuits and gravy, and a cinnamon roll. We had coffee and a mimosa flight to drink. It was all fantastic, along with great service.

5 star service, 3 star food. The service from beginning to end was flawless, matched our tables speed and needs, it just flowed perfectly. The food was, ehh, only one dish out of 5 gave us a "oh, this is good" response. We had the gorgonzola dates, I could have made these at home better, nothing exciting here, move on. We also had the crab cakes for appetizers and they were refreshing and tasted good but all 4 people agreed the lemon zest was overpowering. One person had the pesto pasta, they and their partner both said they would not order it again. Two halves of the two couples got the bacon wrapped meatloaf, and all four agreed it was the winner of the night. I had a special, the Moroccan lamb. While the lamb was slightly over cooked and thus a tad dry, the black lentils and yogurt based accompaniment lacked flavor big time which ironically made the lamb stand out. I'll try this place again but will definitely read the reviews for any hidden gems we might be missing.

Amazing experience! Easy to reserve, and when we got there, we actually switched from outdoor to indoor, with no hesitation from the hostess. Though they have an outdoor set up with tents and heaters that likely make it very comfortable out there. Our waitress Megan nailed the wine recommendation for our meal. From appetizer to entrée, the bottle we had was perfect. By the end, we were too full for dessert!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD!!! Could not have been happier with our pre-dinner choices before the Jackson Browne concert @ Chateau St. Michelle!! It was truly sublime!!! The tastes were unique, rich, spicy, comforting and paired so well with our Mark Ryan’s Board Track Racer “The Vincent” Chardonnay. Justin took great care of us and with that we cannot think of a BETTER place to dine the next time we are in Woodinville.

Had brunch here with my girlfriends before wine tasting in Woodinville. I loved seeing that we could order pasta before Noon! Every dish was delish and full of flavour. Service tends to be slower, so expect to stay awhile and enjoy it.

My family got take out from Purple on Father’s Day. The food was prepared on time, however, we were disappointed to find that everything besides the steaks were dry and disappointing. My burger seemed sloppily put together, and the Mayo was in a small glob in the middle. Not quality I would expect for the price. I really liked the dressing for my side greens salad. I’m vegan and there are a few good choices for me which I was happy about. I would consider giving here another chance dining in.

The stuffed dates were the greatest thing I’ve ever eaten. The baked Brie and toasted crackers were really good, too. The seasoning on the crackers was wild and tasty. Loved the Duo wine tastings, too- you get two tastings for like $13.

Autumn was our server and she might be the sweetest person I’ve ever met. We tried calling multiple time, but couldn’t get ahold of anybody. We were going to go to The Commons, but saw this was at the same spot so we decided to go to The Purple Cafe. The Purple Cafe was recommended my fiancé’s cousin who lives close by. (We live in California.) The hostess and person who delivered our drinks wasn’t very friendly, but that’s ok. A The food was spectacular! We had the peas and burrata, I had the beef bolonhesa and my fiancé had the chopped salad. Such amazing flavors! We paired everything with rose Prosecco and coffee.

Great little place in Woodinville. Service was top notch. Atmosphere was nice but a little crowded. Tables are very close to one another. The appetizer was nice. Caesar salad was very good. Steak was flavorful and cooked well but one major problem- there was a couple of large muscle fibers. Made it hard to cut, hard to chew and hard to enjoy. What saved the meal after that? The crime brûlée was incredible.

  • 5/5 Eric R. 6 months ago on Google
Great vibe and service. We had our often-ordered spicy prawns and although they changed the set replacing the frites with bread they gave us complimentary frites. The burrata was top-notch too. They were kind enough to provide some complimentary chocolates. Victor is the best!

One of my favorite restaurants! Baked Brie was incredible. The Caesar salad was amazing and the beef bolognese was *chefs kiss*

Food was just okay… nothing that I was overly excited about or would order again. Mimosa flight was good in theory, but I really only enjoyed the blood orange one. The service however was really great. My friend and I were on our second day in a row of wine tasting, and she was pretty sloshed. The bartender and another server were extremely kind and patient, and never seemed bothered, though I was completely mortified LOL! 5 stars for service, 4 stars for lunch offerings.

First time here. We had a group of 5 and called ahead, pleasantly surprised that we got sat faster than the host predicted. The waitress was accommodating and we did a small taster before deciding which glass of wine to order. I had the roast beef sandwich on gluten free bread. Very happy with the service as she checked on us several times.

The place has a few heated tables and the staff member that seats people has a ridiculously rude attitude. Does not greet customers who want to be seated. Says “the only tables I have are over there grab them if you want and until you decide please stand out of the way”. We used to go to purple cafes around the Puget Sound pretty often. Not anymore.

Wonderful wine bar. Very good food. Wine from many countries. Friendly and helpful staff. Well priced for the area. I ordered the vegetable rosotto with chicken and the Portuguese mixed wine flight. I enjoy the apple crumble a la mode for dessert. I felt it important to have another red wine flight after my meal. I appreciated their country diverse wine selection given the Columbia valley bias of most places. I recommend this place!

Always such kind and helpful baristas! I am so glad this is close by to my house. Can easily walk here and do walk up orders. You can also find delicious white coffee, lavendar, and milk alternatives here. Awesome!

If you want to pay to be in a refrigerator go to this place. I bet I would like it if I could taste my food however I was too busy trying to fight the hypothermia getting to my tongue. Here’s a recommendation: next time close the garage door in winter so your customers don’t have the lifespan of a ice cube.

Great place, good casual vibe with upscale food. I had the bacon meatloaf, extremely good, very filling.

  • 1/5 Alex M. 3 years ago on Google
Being that I've worked in a 5 star restaurant. when a reservation is made oh, I would think you would try your best to see table that is reserved it not someone that walked in prior to your reservation. Even sadder when you only have one table for large parties to be reserved. So we couldn't eat there because they wouldn't put two tables together for us.

Currently only Woodinville location open...and have expanded seating into front parking area to allow for more dining and outside option...thank you! Although I have dined many times for dinner, was here for brunch for the first time, and glad for that. The service was excellent, despite being a busy time of day, friendly & attentive. The crab cake benedict was delicious, and my daughter had the shakshuka (w/avo), that also was very good. Can't go wrong with a Bellini on these warm summer days! Shared pound cake with strawberries & lemon curd...certainly not disappointed. We will be back...again.

The atmosphere and the food is the best! They have a variety of food and wine. The service was the best and was very helpful/patience with helping us order. A great place for a date night or a girls hang out. I will definitely make this place a regular

Purple Cafe has a great outdoor seating setup, with heaters overhead and plenty of ventilation. It has quite a few safety procedures in place like menu and billing via phone. It’s a nice place to eat outside during the winter months and during COVID-19. Also I highly recommend the fish and chips and the food and service in general are amazing. Why the 4 star, not everything on the menu is amazing but almost everything is above average

I'm really disappointed in the people that work here. They make the best vegan burger I've ever had, but I won't be returning. First visit, service was subpar even though it wasn't a busy period and there was plenty of staff. I wondered if it was a "class" thing and we were seen as beneath them or other patrons because we were almost totally ignored. That suspicion was proven today when we were put on a waiting list for a table and another wealthier-looking couple came in, got on the list, and were seated almost right away while we still waited. So we decided to leave. This place is very stuck up, very snobby. We're a good, clean, quiet, decent-looking people that dresses (and tips) very well - but we were made to feel pretty low both times we visited. Bad form, Purple. Not ok.
