I would say that the restaurant was quite nice, there were a lot of choice of foods, desserts as well as drinks. I've heard from my friends that their chocolate ice cream was delicious so went to have a treat. It tastes fabulous, it's a recommend from me for people who have sweet tooth. Their preparing of food speed is also very fast. But if you would like to visit this restaurant, do be alarmed that you might have to wait a short while at the queue. But overall is a very great restaurant a must-go if you ever went to waterfront.

Came on a weekday evening, able to get a table with little fuss. Service is good. Service staff are attentive and with good attitude too. Please is generally clean plus not stuffy. Food wise is kinda hit and miss. We ordered Fried Rice with tom yum chilli, sambal stingray, vegetables fried with garlic and seafood hot plate toufu with ice cream waffle as desert. The Fried Rice with Tom Yum Chill tastes ok, the taste is kinda special though. Vegetable is well cooked and the garlic sauce is tasty. But the vegetables have leaves that are clearly eaten by bugs or caterpillars and i felt those should be removed. Hot Plate Toufu is pretty bad. No doubt the portion is pretty big for small, but it wasn't sizzling when it came as expected from hot plate dishes, the sauce is too blend and watery. BBQ stingray with sambal is the best dish of the night. portion is good for small size. Just enough for 2 pax. tastes good too. Waffle with ice cream is soso. At $4 don't expect it to be as good as those one will find in those ice cream shops. Price wise it's acceptable for the quantity though the quality could be improved. One last thing to note is that there is no toilet at the restaurant, so please go to the toilet located before the jetty before going to the restaurant. There's parking there also as it's located in a park.

The food and services was above expectation and services was fast. My first time there and the first impression on the food taste was exceptional good and couple with good view on a jetty

They gave us the wrong fish but they remedied it immediately after we raised it up. The red Tom yum was a little too sweet for my liking but the clear Tom yum soup is great! The small version of the Tom yum is large enough don’t need to order the large version. The satay was really great. Hotpot beef too hard for my liking. Btw view here was amazing 🤩

The restaurant offers scenic views, situated as it is in a park by the sea. During my visit,  the restaurant was crowded,  though i must say they have a pretty decent system in place to usher in diners. Surprisingly the queue moved fast and before long we were ushered to a seat by the window. Order taking was quick and food was served in double quick time. The food was only OK in my opinion although I must admit that the Vegetables in garlic sauce were good to eat and cooked well too. I must certainly give credit to the staff and service crew who were quick and willing to serve. Super value for money, delicious, Halal-certified zichar and BBQ fare! Our family loves dining here at Rasa Istimewa, especially when it boasts such a beautiful view as well. Their BBQ stingray is delicious and the waffles are a big hit with the kids. Hot plate tofu is also a very popular dish there!

The uniqueness of this restaurant is its location- situated far out on a jetty, overlooking the causeway and the Johor coast. The food is affordable, and portion aren't too huge, so the practice of most diners are to order a wide variety of dishes. This makes for a satisfying dining experience. The taste of the food are quite similar to the seafood restaurants in Johor too.

It has a very good atmosphere and view outside. The food is served well and are delicious. Their flavours are well balanced. They know how to cook their seafood right. Especially their stingray, it wasn't 'hot' like many other places, this sambal stingray had flavours you could taste and had no fishy smell of inexperienced cooks. Their fried seabass was fresh too and I enjoyed their thai chilli sauce which was refreshing and not cloying. Their side dishes are seasoned wonderfully too and their satay sauce with their satay was great! The only 'downside' to have this beautiful view and atmosphere is that you need to travel all the way in. Don't worry, you'll feel like you know one of the best kept restaurant secrets once you find out where this place is. It's worth the travel to me.

It has been a while since I'm here. Their food still taste good! Great service and their serving time for food is fast! 👍 It was a heavy pour today yet they still got crowd coming in. Do check this place out if you have not done so. It is also nice to take a stroll after a meal. 😃 (If u love something sweet go for their chendol+durian, personally I find it way too sweet for my liking. 🤭 Avoid late afternoon n evening if you dun like crowds. I remembered their western food also nice.)

The Location of the restaurant is very unique on a jetty. However, if one's is to travel by public transport - only BUS 856. There will be a 5-minute walk from bus-stop to the restaurant. To bring umbrella if it is raining as there is no shelter from bus-stop to the restaurant. The food generally is nice and tasty but spicy to some of us who could not take spicy food. See picture Overall, I feel the cost is pricey as the portion of the food is small

Whenever I come to the waterfront park for a stroll, I will always come to this place for a meal or drink or dessert. It is value for money at such an environment. Enjoy 💐

Came on a Saturday evening about 615pm..Waited for a while as we did not make any reservation..Service was excellent and promt, but food were average.. BBQ stingray was a let down as it looked like it was just heated up and covered with sambal sauce. Satay sauce were too diluted with no much peanuts. Sambal Kang Kong and Baby squids were good. If you wanted to see sunset while waiting for food, it worth the time. If not, I will not set foot again.

The place is quite crowded. The food is not tt cheap. But reasonable for the ambience n it’s Halal. Food is so so in my opinion but service is excellent.

Good service and decent food. The biggest draw of the place is its location. Wonderful place to catch a sunset and people watch as they're fishing. Food is slightly pricey but definitely worth going atleast once for the experience. Make sure to make a reservation if you're planning to go for dinner as the place can get very crowded.

Reasonable food price. The taste was so much better than what we expected. Definitely highly recommended for those who wanna chill there at night and have some supper. They have a HUGE variety of food and desserts. They open until 10.30pm, if not mistaken.

Quite an affordable range of dishes while overlooking the gorgeous sea view and sunset. It’s pretty unique as they are situated along a Jetty along the Straits of Johor but definitely need private transport access. Alfresco dining also available to enjoy the cool sea breeze, but not a very ideal location during wet weathers. Food was average at best on overall. Nothing above and beyond what you would typically get at a zi-char stall. The sambal stingray stood out for me amongst rest. Service is absolutely quick though so thumbs up for that. Booking in advance also recommended. Very popular amongst the young and older population. Parking spaces available 200m away.

The staff service is good. The mocktail is nice. Love the tofu which is crispy on the outside and so soft inside that it melts in the mouth. Stringay is good as well. For satay, i prefer mutton than chicken. As for the sambal kang kong, the taste is not to my liking. Overall, this is definitely a nice place to dine and can have a scenery walk after dinner. Price is reasonable.

Queue for cook food may take slightly longer for dinner. Food was tasty. And unique. Portion was good for the pricing. After dinner, could walk around the jetty and park to aid in digestion.

A nice place restaurant visit day or night and have dinner with family or friends. Have a nice walk on the jetty and enjoy the views and fresh air.

Despite the long queue on a Sunday evening, the staff served us really fast. We didn’t have to wait long to get a table for 8 people. The food came in after a little while and all of it tasted good!

Dining by the seaside. Atmosphere was nice. Service by the staffs were good. Foods served to be honest was average but Prices were reasonable.

Nice location, big menu that suits local taste. Price is reasonable. I had the pancake with ice cream and longan Chin Chow drink. Just a good pick-me-up. Saw many other patrons enjoying their local ice desserts and food. Staff were friendly and prompt.

Great place to eat! Must eat their sambal fish and sotong. Their satay is delicious too. Eat their mango shaved ice after your meal to complete your fantastic dinner. Easily accessible by bus from woodlands interchange, bus 856. Or from woodlands north MRT, bus 856.

Other than Soursop grass jelly, others foods we ordered is nice. The only restaurant there. Normally long q during dinner time.

Convenient place to eat after walking around in Woodlands Waterfront Park. Recommended to eat the set meals if your on a budget. My order for 3 dishes also comes up to the same price as the cheapest set meal for 4 pax. Blended ice drinks don't really mean that the drink is ice blended. The same shaved ice from ice kachang is being placed on your drinks instead of ice cubes. Prawns are fresh and huge. However you need to budget for its price. Their sambal is really nice. Qin long cai portion is really little. The dish mostly consists of bean sprouts.

Fantastic place to bring your loved ones or family. Affordable. Not very expensive. Stingray was a 4/5 The sambal fried Rice was good. 5/5 Tom yum was abit too sour for us. 3/5 Kangkong 4/5 not very spicy Delicious tho. Would recommend.
