My rating is not a reflection on the food, but rather the unnecessary way in which the manager spoke to his staff and us as customers. After receiving a drink that was unpleasantly overpowering and strong, a staff member offered us another drink (which we were not expecting and certainly didn't ask for). From our table we heard the manager having a go at the staff member for offering another drink, and then he proceeded to come over over to us and told us that we had got what we ordered, and that we shouldn't have expected to get a free drink and that he should not have to wear to cost of replacing it. Left there feeling sorry for the staff member (who was only trying to help) and uncomfortable enough to not want to return.

Amazing service from the new guy Oliver! He is so friendly, welcoming & genuine. The food was delicious, bacon was crispy, coffee was strong & good quality milk. We will definitely be back, Thankyou

On Sunday30th October five of us {All professionals} decided to lunch at the Providor in Woodside. My friend and his brother {A senior payroll officer in the civil service and a Neurologist visiting from the UK.} ordered for us; two coffees to be had immediately, a baguette with vegetarian filling and three small vegetarian pizzas. The coffees came, were unexceptional but OK. After a longer delay [reasonable for preparing fresh food] the main order came. The waitress proffered the baguette and three vegi-burgers! My friend and his brother gently explained that this was not what had been ordered. The waitress didn’t agree and went away but returned with the manager [owner] who held two burgers aloft and standing imposingly above us insisted this was what was ordered. My friend the senior civil servant gently explained what had transpired at the counter when the order was taken and his brother, the Neurologist, politely explained in perfect British English, that the baguette also was not what was ordered because it contained chicken. It was clear the manager expected us to take and pay for the food mistakenly produced. I pointed out that in our discussion of the menu choices prior to ordering we had not even considered vegi-burgers. The manager went back to the counter to consult with the waitress then returned still holding the food and trying to look menacing and insisted that the waitress had read back the order to my friends. The Neurologist from the UK in his best bedside manner gently explained that was not true. After a brief stand off the manager returned to the kitchen and in suitable time produced what we had ordered. The pizzas were delightful. When they were delivered, I ordered another coffee; it came quite quickly but tasted awful… I couldn’t drink it. Some how the baguet was not replaced! The whole situation speaks of badly managed staff who are afraid to admit a mistake or that four people of dark skin colour just were not welcome in that establishment. Whatever the cause my friends and I will not be returning.

Went to Providore for lunch with my husband...30 minutes after ordering, and watching others who ordered after us receive their orders, we went up & questioned it & was informed our order wasn't put through. We ordered 2 steak sandwiches, 1 with no onion & repeated this once they finally put our order through. We finally received our drinks, one of which was an iced latte & neither my husband & I could drink it, it was horribly strong. I was going to ask for some more milk but didn't want to prolong our waiting again. Finally received our steak sandwiches & we said 1 was without onion, to which the waitress said "I don't think either of them have onion". I took one bite & guess what?? Onion!!! My husband opened his & again - onion!!! Lucky I asked for no onion because I don't like it, not because I'm allergic to it. We live & work locally & from now on will be taking our business elsewhere.

I didn't have food, but I got a Chai Latte from this place. The Chai Latte was amazing, and it had a nice frothy top to it. Service was also pretty good! They talked nicely, complimented you, and they got us the drinks very quickly. Atmosphere was average for a dine in and takeaway place, but still had a nice look to it. Flowers everywhere, tables with chairs and nice couches to sit on.

What a cute little diner. After picking cherries nearby a friend optioned us to go and eat here for lunch. Our meals were fresh and tasty and the service was very fast and staff polite. I ordered the cheeseburger which had a perfectly cooked patty with gerkin that paired amazingly with the relish. You will not be disappointed by stopping in here.

After our tradition of visiting Melba’s chocolate factory we were ready for a tasty lunch and Woodside delivered. I had the most amazing Vegan burger and others thoroughly enjoyed a Caesar salad, chicken burger and chips respectively. Fresh ingredients and beautifully made food. Thank you for a fabulous meal.

Digital nomad friendly 👍 They took more than 30 min to serve me on a Sunday. That’s alright, but they never cleaned the table from the previous guests even when I asked for it.

Good breakfast place in the middle of Woodside, bringing classic breakfast choices with well made coffee For me nothing was a standout, but everything was good

We sat on an outdoor table, and the atmosphere was still fantastic. Could not fault the food or service. Was a great experience and would recommend stopping by when in Woodside.

Female staff member was rude and impatient with a permanent unpleasant expression on her face. Food was very average and seemed to be made two days prior and reheated, barista was average the grind was too fine clearly or over tamped as the espresso was bitter.

Such a nice place to stop for brunch. Pizza was lovely. Latte excellent. My husband enjoyed a red 🍷. We bought some cake for home. We were full after a generous and tasty pizza. The atmosphere inside is lovely. Food quality looks really good, when you look around. Prices seemed very fair A mug of latte A glass of wine A pizza 2 cakes, chocolate Brownie & lemon tart. Only $47 Staff are friendly and efficient. Bathrooms clean. Outside looks nice place to hang out too. We will be back soon. Thank you 😊

One of our favourite stops in the hills when on our way home from work. Lovely hot coffee and always a little something sweet to go with it. Efficient friendly staff.

Use to be absolutely fantastic and one of my favourite places. It has gone down hill, coffee is hit and miss depending who is making it. Service is only average and never see the owner in there anymore, use to always see him around.

Iced coffee was good. Ordered a burger for lunch which took over 35min to arrive, and it was served to me cold. At least the chips were hot. The place wasn't busy, only 2 couples inside and 2 couples outside and only half of them eating so I have no idea why the kitchen took over 30 minutes to make a burger. Won't be going back...better burgers across the road at the pub.

great coffee and the staff kindly made it to my instructions without even rolling their eyes 😊. The ham and cheese croissant went down really well, and everything was very well priced for the quality. The only drawback is the acoustics which made it very hard for us to hear each other speak.

I think this is the best brekkie/ lunch place I've been too. The food is just so delicious! Each time I've been here the food is fabulous and I've ordered different things each time. Consistently yummy, great portion sizes; you won't leave feeling hungry and their aioli is so darn good too, you have to give it a go!

IT was ok. Lady who served us could have been a little more pleasant. The young barista was pleasant. Food ok I personally asked for sourdough with cooked bacon, tomato and spinach all okbexcept got the spinach raw, not a real issue but expected cooked. Ordered pots of tea which were $1more but it was a pot of hot water with one tea bag on the side. Tea was weak.

impromptu lunch date with the other half. Thai Beef salad was abit small, coriander was the only Asian ingredient in it. Could do with more dressing as well. Local Plate, pricey and someone can't tell the difference between a rocket leaf and a weed. Would have been better with some warm or fresh bread. Croutons let the dish down

Popped in for lunch and was very happy with our experience. Staff were very friendly and the shop was rustic and gorgeous. Got 2 lattes with lactose free milk which were hot and delicious and served quickly. Lunch was the venison burger and mushroom bruschetta. Burger was fantastic and the chips was both crunchy n fluffy. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the bruschetta though wished she had of got a steak knife as found it hard to cut. Over sell, a very nice day out and would recommend to anyone 👌

Had very tasty Thai Pumpkin soup and coffee today. My daughter had “the best ever hot chips and aioli with a strawberry milkshake”. Great service. Good atmosphere. Welcoming polite staff. Great place and it’s local

Quality food and good service. For a relatively small Cafe it offers a great menu to choose from. Recommended.
