Steel and Wire is a very welcome addition to the Worcester bar scene. The vibe is great and very laid back. The beer list offers something for everyone and all of the bartenders make amazing cocktails. It's also cool to see so many non-alcoholic options as well. Lots of great live music with an expanded stage area for the bands. I love the fact that there is a tv set up so you can see the band even when you are on the other side of the bar. The patio has been nicely spruced up from the Nick's version and it's a fun spot to watch the Polar Park fireworks on a Friday night in the summer.

Steel and wire has taken the place of Nicks. The moment we entered, it felt like you are in one of those old school bars with a great nostalgic feeling. This is what you call an old bar with a new feel. They have a great selection of beers. They also have wines, a few cocktails and some small bites on their menu. We ordered the Rite of spring which was a great refresher for the summer. We also asked the bartender to make one of his vodka specials which again was bang on. We also got the cheese plate which looked and tasted delicious. We are here on an opening night and people just keep pouring in. I guess they all have been waiting for this gem to open up. They don't have too many cocktails to offer yet but I guess they want the initial reactions before they add more in. They also have love performances in separate area and an outdoor patio which is perfect for the summer. I wish they had the QR codes on every table. But again, its their first day. Overall, this place needs to be on top of your list.

Very hip, relaxed place, a good mix of old and new. Beautiful patio, great live music, and genuine quality craft cocktails, food menu matches well with drinks. Knowledgeable and experienced bar staff. A very friendly vibe here with creative original drinks.

If I could give this place a Negative Zero, I would, first time coming here because my mom and grandma we’re here & wanted some company, immediately felt uncomfortable and caged in place is super small and UGLY, looks like an old haunted bar from the 19 centuries, bathroom is TINY no space at all and needs to be cleaned, everything in this place wasn’t modern but in fact old and cringy. Sat at the bar to accompany my friend who was drunk (I wasn’t drinking) left my ID in the car, bartender was rude and had an attitude wouldn’t serve my friend because I didn’t give him my ID! I stated I wasn’t drinking he continued to rant on how people like me get the bar shut down! Good it should be shut down with that attitude absolutely disgusting behavior. Gave us less than 5 mins to leave, and that’s exactly what we did i do not recommend this place to anyone in the area please AVOID IT! Bartender didnt deserve a dollar from us or my time to go and grab my ID if i wasnt drinking! You should have security guards at the door if it was that serious. Dealing with people shouldn’t be his job because he is not a people person. This place is trash.

Great atmosphere and drinks. Plus they have like 2 or 3$ Gansetts or PBR. Great value for some beers

There isn’t a more comfortable place than this. The drinks are awesome and original, and the music is great. This is the best small stage in Worcester. Also, might I add, the best Mai Tai of your life!

Cute little bar with a patio out back. Vintage vibes, friendly bartenders, and tasty cocktails. They even feature great non alcoholic drinks if you aren’t drinking. Trivia with Lexi is fun.

Food selection is tasty but limited... however the craft cocktails are the best in town. Very cool overall vibe.
