I've been going here for years with my family. But this time was my boyfriends first visit and he's from out of state so it was a real treat. He loved the retro double door entry, the signage, and the ambiance, especially seeing them cook and prepare just over the counter. Dogs were hot, buns steamed to perfection (he was surprised they held up and were not soggy) . The mustard buried under chili dog sauce accented with diced onion is a great combination. It didn't take long for him to eat the first two before he was back up to the counter for more. Tried the Polar soda and Wachusett chips, great to sample local product. Next time he wants to try a dill pickle, they looked great. Lots of people placing take out orders. You also can't beat local history of Coney island hot dog which you get a strong sense of from the graffiti carved booths of all those who have visited. Update: went again today 3/17/22 and still great! This time we ordered 2 dill pickles for my BFs brother in law because that's his fav. I will add photos from today's visit.

When u walk in it smells like this place hasn't been cleaned since the 80s but considering times we're leaving in and inflation these prices are amazing. We got the chili dog with cheese, plain with ketchup and Mayo and side of Mac and cheese. It tastes good and fresh but as we were watching the guy make it it's clear that proper glove usage is not a priority. He lined them up 5 and even 6 hot dogs at a time that went up his arm.... not sure what the point of gloves is if the food still touches you. I get that it's a business and you need to sell but it's like they're doing it right in front of you...

Food was good, quick service. Can't believe that they've justed celebrated 105 years on business recently. No complaints.

I would leave less if I could. Place was amazing but isn't anymore! I remember my father taking me to this place as a kid and sadly to say this will be my last! The quality of the food and service has drastically went down. The last two times I went I eventually had an upset stomach, which never happened before. The service has gone down hill as well. I stopped during a lunch break, which I used to do quite often. There was a line just to the booths near the jukebox. After waiting 15 minutes, I just left. A few of the employees were just standing around doing nothing while the line was at a stand still. Left without lunch due to the wait. I'm done. Won't be back. It's sad.

This has to be the best place to grab a weiner style hot dog. I didn't think these existed outside of RI, to find this place was amazing. The feel of this place is like none other. You have the restaurant on one side, a bar on the other side, and the age of nostalgia of this place cannot be duplicated. As quickly as we ordered, the food and drinks were on our trays and we were eating. I cannot wait to get back here.

This is the second time I have been there. First time was in 2013 with my late husband and when I was in the area again 10 years later I had to bring my mom to experience the delicious dogs and throw back from my late husband's childhood. It's that good. Definitely get a original coney which is the works up. I tried the Mac and cheese this time and it's delicious, homemade, large shells. The noodles were a little overdone but it didn't affect it at all and there wasn't a bite left. I recommend what I've had and the things I haven't bc it's tasty food. The atmosphere is old school stop in diner, they are friendly. There is an old juke box and cravings in the booths to add to the throw back environment. Don't let the outside or the area fool you, you'd be a fool not to stop here and try one out, you won't regret it.

Holy Bleeping Bleeps.... Never have I ever, until now!!! Talk about a NEXT LEVEL experience. Coney Island staff were kind and courteous and very prompt! There's something about the hot dog and the way it's grilled... My husband got us the Works.. and it was truly delicious and MIND BLOWING experience! Thank you so much, what a special place. I'm so happy we live nearby and can come visit you again and being my mom and family when they come visit! Thank you so much Coney Island!

Transport yourself back to the Worlds Fair 75 years ago. George’s is like a time capsule of comfort food. Nothing fancy, all classic right down to the original decor and giant neon outside. Dogs were good and service was fast and friendly. Can’t beat the prices here either. And yeah, it’s that big inside.

Okay, so I had never even heard of this place until today, and I had been to Worcester before, but not this part of the city. Short version goes like this: the hot dogs are delicious, cooked nice and juicy. I got a cheese dog with a bag of barbecue potato chips and a bottle of water I could later have on the road home. Oh, and I forgot to mention the sign at the counter that says THE PHANTOM GOURMET WAS HERE. Anybody who watches the show on Sunday morning knows what I'm talking about. I would gladly be up for another road trip here to eat some more of those delicious hot dogs.

A fun experience for the four of us, including our 96-year-old Aunt. Good dogs and sides. Affordable. Friendly service. Authentic retro interior. Lots of booths sized for 4 of the small folk of the 1930's, upright church pews with carved graffiti. No sauerkraut.

Lo e this place. 👌 great fast food. Just not your typical fast food place. Takes me back so old school. Chocolate milk is to die for. The one in the take-home glass . Don't forget to get the chips and mini pie

First time eating here. The food was good. Fast service. Plenty of seating. High chairs available. My 1 yr old loved it. We had baked beans, hot dogs with the works, plain hot dogs for the little and a burger. We were there pretty much alone for 5 minutes and then it filled up. But it was still quick and everything was fresh. We will definitely be going there again

Enjoyed old style American diner atmosphere. Reasonable price but you need a few hot dogs per person.

Love this place! Been going ever since I moved to the area. Food quality is very good, service is very fast even at busy times, and the prices for dogs is really good. Any topping same price. The store is aged, but that is part of the charm. For all the right reasons, not your typical hot dog joint.

Wow! What an experience, from the graffiti in the ancient booths, the chocolate milk in a glass bottle and a couple of excellent chili cheese dogs, This place did not disappoint. My coworker has been hounding me to go with him for some time now and I finally relented, and I'm wondering why I wasted so much time resisting

Coney Island is an old Worcester standby and is definitely worth a stop partly for the food but also the experience as a whole. Hotdogs are hotdogs so it's not anything novel, but you know what you're getting. They are small so you need at least 2 or 3 to be filling. I recommend the everything hotdog, that has chili, onions and mustard; it's very tasty! The service was excellent. The man behind the counter was super friendly and I could tell he enjoyed his job, which is refreshing from so many places where employees don't seem to care. There is parking on the street and it's close to Kelly Square where you can make a trip out of your experience, but it's not so close as to be in the most congested parts. The atmosphere would normally be a 1 star if it wasn't for the storied history of Coney Island. I say storied because they have old booths that have been there for years, where people have carved or written their initials etc. They could easily invest in updating the booths, walls etc but instead they embrace the vandalism, which ironically has given the place character over the years. They have an old juke box too! It's a blast from the past and I hope they don't update it except for essential structural needs. Anyways, this review was WAYYYY to long but worth it for Coney Island! Definitely worth a stop

Have loved this place for a hundred years and will continue for a hundred more. Food is simple and fantastic. We drive from all over when we get a craving for Coney Island. The people are so sweet.

George's Coney Island is a little bit of old Worcester preserved in amber. It looks as if none of the furnishings have been changed since it was first opened. They are densely graffitied and carved by patrons over the decades. It's more than a place to have a hot dog. It is an experience. The hot dogs are pretty good too.

This is the place to beat in my humble opinion. Hands-down, the best hotdogs I've ever had. But that doesn't mean I'll stop looking for the best hotdog ever. The hotdogs are juicy, flavorful and mouthwatering. I love the steam rolls, it compliments the hotdogs perfectly. Melts in your mouth. I've tried just about all the hotdogs on the menu. I've never been disappointed. This place has lots of history. Check out all the names carved into the wood walls near each booth. (maybe you'll find mine) Coney Island takes you back in time, and thankfully nothing has changed about they way they serve up their dogs! Just fantastic!

These may have been the best hot dogs I've ever had. And so reasonably priced! It's an hour away and even going to Worcester for just these is worth it. Get the Everything, even if you're not sure you'll like it. I wasn't sure, got one anyway, 10/10. Got another.

Looking for a fun, comfortable & nostalgic spot to grab lunch or dinner? Check out George's Coney Island. Excellent hot dogs & more here! You can also get burgers, homemade baked beans & other menu choices. Awesome food. Wonderful service. Every time you visit. Jukebox inside. Restrooms available for customers. Highchairs. Cafeteria style, walk up to order at the counter, take your tray & pick a table to sit at. Classic wooden booths. Lots of space here. Great place for large groups or families. It's like a walk back in time here. I've loved this place since I first tried it years ago, introduced to me by a local. My children also enjoy dining here. Prices are very reasonable as well. I suggest ordering your dogs "up" which includes mustard, a tasty chili sauce & onions! Although they'll make them however you wish! Plain, ketchup only, whatever you like. You'll want to order more than one, trust me!

Really good hot dogs and burgers. I didn't really care for the Mac and cheese though. It would be cool if they had fresh desserts rather than store-bought packages brownies that don't taste good. The prices are really good. I'll definitely come again for burgers and hot dogs.

The go to place for hot dogs in Worcester, MA. This iconic landmark has a funky atmosphere and great tasting dogs. I took this photo back in July 17, 2014

We have been coming here since the 70s with my mom. And to this day it's still an amazing nostalgic best dog's in town. The most sweetest and friendliest staff you could ever meet.

So, so good. First time here. Friendly staff. The seating has Graffiti from Years ago!! It’s clean here and the dishes get brought to be washed every few minutes! It can be very busy here. They have a lot of local pride. All our food was great! Definitely coming back with more family
