😠 Omg, what a mistake we made eating here. Me,my wife and granddaughter went for breakfast (4-5-22) and it was by far the worst experience we've had whilst dining. I had quite a long wait to order food despite the cafe being relatively quiet, coffee machines only serving black coffee, no other options... People often mention breakfast, staff, coffee, cold, cafe, wait, service, dirty, customers, manager,

8am visit for breakfast and shopping. Would expect cleanliness and freshness. Crockery and cutlery was dirty. When mentioning this to Staff they didn't act on it or seem to care. I had to trawl through them to find something clean. Staff wiping tables and chairs with a dirty cloth and no cleaning fluids. Breakfast was barely warm but it was edible even though my poached egg was like a rubber bullet. Won't eat here again. Wrexham has more venues with a better choice and better standards for a very similar price.

I had quite a long wait to order food despite the cafe being relatively quiet, coffee machines only serving black coffee, no other options available. When the food turned up it was awful, sausage was over cooked, bacon was fatty and lukewarm, tomato looked like yesterday's leftover and egg was slightly under cooked. I wanted to complain but my wife asked me not to. We will never eat there again.

The actual cafe looks dirty and the food is not the best it like eating a plate of grease, it used to be nice but wouldn't recommend it anymore. The coffee machines are always broke for hot chocolate. I find the cafe staff rude too.

Me and my mate come here a few times and it's always nice but what we find the problem is the other customers and the cafe manager. Lots of customers are really horrible to the staff as I am in contact with one of them and it is so horrible to hear how upset they get becuase of the way they're treated by customers, they should be ashamed of them self's for this. There's no need to make them cry all because you can't wait for your food to be cooked. They are doing there best and there's no need to be so horrible to them. Also the cafe manager is the same and does not always treat her staff right. Again I hear how she talks to them and some staff end up in tears because of her and leaving. So well done to the cafe team for staying there even with all this abuse from customers and the manager. Please learn to treat the staff better, both customers and manager!!!

Absolutely awful, I had a small breakfast, couldn't eat it, it was cold, over cooked or like it had been sitting on a hotplate all morning, the plate swimming in oil, it was tasteless and the food was basically inedible, I didn't even want to give it a star rating but had to so I could post the review

Excellent food and service. Getting back to normal after Covid restrictions have been eased.

Lately the food has been bad my burger was deep fried and like cardboard waited 30 minutes before having to ask if it was coming, they had forgotten. friends finished thiers before I received mine, had to go back again for dessert to received the wrong cake. Most of the Staff seem like spoilt stuck up children that are huddled in 1 corner gossiping and on thier mobiles. Not like it used to be.

Had the Xmas turkey meal, unfortunately it came out cold so had to be reheated. The meal was very disappointing, the turkey was not proper turkey, tasted like processed meat. All the vegetables were really hard and the cauliflower cheese had no taste of cheese at all. Yorkshire pudding was very hard to cut. The only nice bits was the mash and pigs in blankets. Also there was no brussel sprouts or cranberry sauce. Gravy way too thick. Did not enjoy.

Visited recently for a coffee and cake while at the hospital. Chap at till friendly but nothing gluten free available for my wife and the coffee was awful and only warm. It was self service from a fancy bean to cup machine but tasteless Also I wanted a takeaway cup but the lids were wrong for the cups. Was cheap but just as well. Wouldn’t recommend.

We regularly visit the cafe for breakfast. When we visited last weekend, the cafe was really busy but the ordering process and food delivery was really quick. We had the Christmas Dinner and it was delicious! The service levels and food quality has definitely improved in the last few months! Would recommend.

Had the Christmas dinner here last Saturday it was lovely! waiting time was about ten minutes and there was only one table free. Great value for Money! I tend to take the kids here for their breakfasts which they also love. Kids meals come free when you buy an adult meal. Its great value and the plates are always sent back empty. Thank you for a great service and great food.

Truly dire, one person ( who was very apologetic) serving, said they'd run out of food at 4pm

Terrible service as others have put. Obviously reviews and complaints aren't being taken on board. Ordered simple food. Staff didn't warn us of a wait time and then after 30mins I asked for an update, only to be told it will likely be another 30mins as "we're busy". Poor communication and service. Understaffed and the staff that are on do not put in their share of any effort. This isn't the first time we've been and had a poor experience. I doubt we'll return.

waited 45 minutes for 2 breakfasts the food was very greasy, everything had their own puddle of grease. Some things over cooked, some things under cooked, shell in the scrambled egg and the toast was diabolical!

  • 1/5 Stephen H. 10 months ago on Google
2 breakfasts for £10 It includes toast, but not toast as we know it more like a white piece of bread stood next to a toaster rather than being put in it. Sit by a window because your going to need the heat of the sun to warm the breakfast up as it was cold. Even my dog turned its nose up to the sausages. The icing on the cake was a 30 minute wait. When challenged the till operator said "we are not Gordon Ramsey, not even close", put it this way he wasn't lying I would have been better off going to the "Greasy Spoon Cafe"

Poor customer service. Staff walk past customers and clean tables and don't acknowledge people waiting. When we asked for cups we had to wait for 20 minutes so ended up using takeout cups. Only person who seemed to be working is the guy cooking.

It’s a shame. This used to be one of the best cafes in Wrexham; now one of the worst. The food’s mostly OK (and a decent vegan range) but the orders often arrive late, cold and wrong simply because there are too few staff and they’re working beyond their limits. It’s not their fault: they do everything they can but management are clearly trying to save a few pennies by not having enough of them. Equipment such as coffee machines is also in a very bad way and often not working. The result is an awful experience for customers and staff alike. Poor management, nothing else.

Visited on a mid week afternoon for their fish and chips. Thankfully there were plenty of empty tables, although it took a while to find one that was at least moderately clean. Ordered my meal at the machine, which I note that now does NOT allow you to order and take a number, before you find a table - you now have to search for a table first, then order and go back again when you've forgotten the number, and then make offerings to higher beings that no one in the mean time lays claim to the table that you have just ordered a meal to! Then things went further downhill when I found that the hot water machine was broken, with no suggestions as to where you get the hot water for your tea pot - I ended up using the coffee machine and repeatedly pressing the hot water option until the pot was full. I then found there was no milk so had to ask, and the polite staff member found a 6 pint container of milk and put that out - so a communal source when Wales was still under various covid regs?! I then went for the sugar....yep, you guessed it, a massive communal pot of it! It was heavily contaminated with the various drinks and goodness knows what else, so swerved it and luckily found some brown sugar sachets. What saved the visit and allows for upping to 3 stars is the person who brought out the food and their politeness and general cheery personality, and the food itself. The portion was large (what I was hoping for!), and bar the mushy peas it was piping hot. I was offered sauces, as they stupidly don't have any sachets now, and so arrived a bottle of tomato sauce - previously used of course! I went to the toilet before leaving, and I really object to seeing the results of the previous 100 people's visits in the urinal. Presumably they have gone "waterless", but the problem is they have just switched the water off rather than install the correct type of urinal so the waste is still there looking at you!! Exceptionally off-putting , and of course the whole toilet area stank of urine as a result. Disgusting. No excuse as they seemed to have been recently refurbished (doubt its anything else as they seemed in good nick!) I enjoyed the food, and would visit another Morrisons again for it, but sadly the place itself just needs a massive clean and removal of the communal food items.

Waste of time, no “all day breakfasts” available at 1pm. 40 minute wait for any hot food whist the cafe is half empty, and the staff seem to think I’m this is perfectly ok. No wonder it’s not full.

Disappointed customer. 30 minute wait for a breakfast No poached eggs (lied) Undercooked wet bacon Undercooked mushrooms Overcooked black pudding Scrambled egg, beans, and mushrooms were cold. Morrisons breakfast used to be a great option, especially when it included a drink. It was never gourmet food but the price was good and the food was fine. I feel like since the pandemic the standard has gone down dramatically and the cost has risen significantly. I've paid nearly £9 for breakfast and had to leave half of the breakfast it was that bad. The manager was friendly though and seemed to take on board my feedback.

We have just left the cafe.. the food was cold the drinks we pre ordered on the self order machine weren't available. There was no knives at all and despite asking multiple times it took over 10 minutes to get us some. The food was awful full of grease. Only positive was the child's meal was of a good size. But they didn't have the bits to go with it despite paying for them.

Visited yesterday 05.12.18. Over from Leeds and after a long day, called in with my brother for some hot food and coffee. We bought some food to take out but, we were sadly too late for any hot food and even the coffee machine had just been cleaned. A wonderful lady named Julie, on the checkout, then went to the trouble of getting us two coffees from the staff canteen. Fantastic, friendly service and it set us up nicely for the long drive home which, without the coffee would've seemed a lot longer and it also helped to keep us much more alert. 😀 A worthy 5 stars all day long!

What an absolute mess. Dirty trays, dirty cups, dirty cutlery . The manager should be sacked

Absolutely vile. Went in today, tables covered in uncollected items, filthy floor. Coffee machine and pop despenser unable to be used as they "needed cleaning" staff told us to go and buy a pop from the shop and they'd let us on with it. Orderd a couple of breakfasts, told we couldnt swap the heart attack fried bread for toast without paying for the toast as an extra. Food arrived and the lad who had a terrible attitude because we dared ask for clean cutlery! He actually gave us unwashed knives! Dirty boy! Then the nail in the coffin was the grease covered "food" that was stone cold apart from the egg. Ended up asking for a manager who refused to come from her office and said to just refund us. No wonder the place is terrible with waste of space managers like that. Avoid this grease ridden dump.

Friendly and helpful staff. Had a decent afternoon tea which hadn't been booked. Very good value for money and we enjoyed it too.

It's a nice place to have breakfast in Wrexham, where the choices are minimum especially for breakfast. They have a good menu at reasonable prices.

Morrisons have a special offer of half price meals Thursday to Sunday. They have social distancing in place. Sadly, they did not have a lot of what was on the menu. Good points, everyone was very helpful and friendly. Bad point, we had to wait extremely long for our meals to arrive. When they did arrive, the cutlery was dirty and lots of items were missing. Task, spot the onion rings! We could not find them and we were there!!!
