What's happened to customer service !!! 1 cash till, the rest are self service, l paid cash as l didn't want the hassle of serving myself de- tagging the clothes and watching my personal items all at the same. Customer behind me was disabled and on crutches, she was struggling, but she was still pointed in the direction of payment by card to serve herself. The lady was UPSET by this. Seems customer's are a inconvenience to the store now. I won't be shopping in Matalan again after todays experience.

Still can't decide whether l enjoyed the experience or not. The shop was very well stocked with its usual designs and seasonal clothing. Plenty of knockdown bargains. All sizes bar mine .lots of information on Covid and the wareing of facemasks. Trying to pay was a different story. Self checkouts are a joke and one till that only took cash. Come on you can do better.

This is a really handy store on the edge of town with lots of free parking. Just take care as they have a limmit on the parking time and with camera recording you number plates. Also don't be tempted to pop to a local store or cash machine. The parking warden are red hot and will issue you a ticket on the spot.

Good range of reasonably priced clothes for all the family. Got what we wanted.

Got a very nice suit for £54. Half price. Few other nice suits there.

Got exactly what we needed for my youngest to wear for my mum's funeral. So glad it saved us a lot of stress. Brill price too

Has good variety of clothes for all the family. Staff helpful but not pushy. Only thing I didnt like was being told to use self check out if paying by card... I HATE self check out, when I refused I was served by a member of staff who was very polite.

Three pairs of decent everyday jeans for £58 can't be bad. Would have made it five stars, but no bags at checkout, which was poor.

It's OK but please matalan,where are the sizes 13 to 18 for our young men coming up am sure you can do better 💪 😉

Feel kind of sorry for Matalan, as a pioneer of cheap but reasonable quality clothing is long done been left behind by the likes of Primark. Slightly better quality but not as on trend, and not as cheap either. As for the store itself, staff are helpful and there's plenty of parking, but be aware of over zealous parking attendants, who will issue a parking fine if you leave the area of the immediate shops whether you have shopped there or not.

Big parking and big good quality clothes assortment also best place to find something nice to your home.

Worst pair of socks and boxers I've ever worn, boxers were designed by someone whom clearly never wears them and lint to the max on the socks where I'm having to de-bobble ever few hours. the bed sheets are amazing though. 😶 Service was very pleasant.

This business is open for in-store shopping and appear to be adhering to covid safety standards, so it feels safe. They have good quality clothes and footwear including branded names. I find it a bonus that the staff at this store are very helpful, polite and professional, without losing their sense of humanity. If you can't find what your looking for, they offer on line ordering that you can collect in store or arrange home delivery.

Loads of items clothes house hold cheap bargains everywhere u look friendly staff who are all ways on hand to help if needed. You also have a loyalty card u earn points on.

Went looking for kids PE shoes after looking in Asda and Tesco but out of stocks. Found two different types of shoes and many more school uniform items too. Not a busy place. You can have the place to yourself normally in mornings in weekdys. Price and the value for money and the quality is pretty good.
