Absolutely shocking just lately, gone expensive and if the staff did as much serving as they do talking then it'd be alright !!! EVERY time I go I'm there there's a queue, one till open and they're quite happy to pass the time of day while they SLOWLY serve tje customer that they're catching up with. I went in for a loaf of bread and a pack of cigarettes.... 3 in front of me and I was in there for the best part of 10 minutes.... really ??? Is there any need ???? One customer used self service but needed age approval..... he obviously got overlooked and walked out... minus his beer...... bloody ridiculous

Shocking today to be fair - empty shelves galore....... usually a great little shop that you can get a full shop from without having to go to large supermarket- not today! Staff were very apologetic though

Pretty new to the area within the last couple of years and from day one the ladies and gents at this shop made me very welcome and at ease. Everyone’s really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Huge shout out to the lovely Patricia who is definition of glass half full. She’s a delight to see and to chat to. Patricia needs a pay rise for lifting the spirits of her customers. Plus she’s brilliant at trying to sell till promotions and making sure you don’t forget to scan your Coop card! #TeamPat

For a small store it is remarkably well stocked, every time I go there I find something I haven't seen before. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The added bonus is it is in the same parade as an excellent chip shop!!

Do NOT order fresh produce from the Co-Op with Deliveroo. On more than one occasion they've taken my money and sent me inedible fruit. I have no doubt that they were well aware that this fruit would not be bought by someone actually in the store, someone with eyes, where they could see it before parting with their money - but that Co-Op deliberately send (in the Deliveroo orders) the fruit that wouldn't otherwise be sold. And they refused to rectify it unless I went into the shop. When it happened once I was prepared to believe it was an oversight, but not anymore. For a company that emphasises its ethical values, I'm surprised this is how they treat their customers. Well, this time they charged me for the Coca-Cola but didn't include it in the bag.

Today was my last visit....understaffed...pretty poor. One on the till and the queue was down the aisle furthest from the tills. Scan your own....useless....won't take cash, Chester ones do. Absolute ballache everytime. Finished with it. Used to spend over £100 a week in there between us.....NO MORE

Opening times 6:00 - 22:00 Mon-Sun The wait times at the tills are too long , and why when one person is on the till do they now use the one furthest away from the self service tills, so now you're just ignored when using the self service

There is a great selection and great quality, my only bug bear is the staffing situation. I understand cut backs and low wage bill but doesn't customer service come a the forefront. Would have given 5 star but lost it cause low staffing levels.
