The fries had a crispness I’m not used to in crinkle cut, the baked beans had a bit of tomato acidity that was a nice change, the pulled pork was a good balance of meat and sauce and the pickle garnish was perfect compliment. I wasn’t a huge fan of the brisket myself but my date enjoyed it. The sweet tea was served in the biggest ball jar I’ve ever seen and thats a good thing because it was literally the BEST SWEET TEA IVE EVER HAD! So glad we stopped in. Apparently they’ve been in Wright city for a decade and a half and I never noticed

Good food for the price and portion sizes. It seemed a bit empty which made me a little sad. Would recommend trying the burger, it's smothered in BBQ sauce and mine had a great sear on it, just ask them to toast the bun this is an important step. Would also recommend going for the small sides instead of medium or large.

My husband and I live in the Kansas City area. We have Jack Stack; Gates and Joe's KC BBQ all within 10 minutes from our house so we know great bbq! We were passing through Wright City and decided to give Ball's Q Shack a try. We did not have great expectations but were we ever surprised! They were out of brisket so we ordered the pulled pork. It was the best pulled pork we have ever eaten!!! It was amazingly tender and they were very generous with the meat! We also tried the peach cobbler which was delicious. Chef B said it was her grandmother's recipe! Chef B was friendly and personable. It was a pleasure meeting her and eating at her restaurant. The prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend the pulled pork. I hope someday to come back and try the brisket. Wished we lived closer!!!

Great food. Great service. The chicken and ribs combo is excellent. Mac and cheese and spaghetti are a couple good sides that we tried. Pork steak is amazing.

We're truck drivers, long haul and short haul. I've eaten at quite a few BBQ places, even ate at BB Kings in Memphis Tennessee and THIS place is AWESOME! It's like eating at her home, in her backyard !!!!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Balls Q Shack, and let me tell you, it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the owner, and I knew that I was in for a great meal. The customer service was truly exceptional. Our host was knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure that we had everything we needed for our meal. Speaking of dishes, the food at Balls Q Shack was out of this world. We ordered the Shack Sampler, which included a variety of meats cooked to perfection, with a smoky and flavorful taste that was simply mouth-watering. The portions were generous, and we definitely got our money's worth. But what really stood out to me was the potato salad. It was perfect! Creamy, tangy, and just the right amount of seasoning. It was the perfect side dish to complement the rich and savory meats. Overall, I highly recommend Balls Q Shack to anyone looking for a fantastic BBQ dining experience! From the exceptional customer service to the delicious food, everything about this place was top-notch. Don't miss out on trying the Shack Sampler and the potato salad - they're both absolutely amazing!

Words don’t do this place justice, it’s grandma’s food and from a family restaurant. You can tell they love what they do and providing the best meal you will have had in years.

I liked this place. There was just the one woman running the whole lunch show, but she was a pro. I liked the burger, it was covered in a sweet BBQ sauce. Nothing like what I've had at other places, but really good. The French fries were perfect. And that sweet tea, so sweet. Just like my grandma made it. Prices were very reasonable.

Amazing!! Went here after going to Big Joel’s safari, a small little place but with great food. everything cooked long and slow, and old family sauce recipe! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re out in this part of town!!

Worst bbq I've ever experienced, dry ribs bland, pulled pork was mush and stank spit out immediately. Hot dog was burnt everything reheated. Green beans also smelled and tasted rancid. Should have asked for a refund when I continuously heard microwave running. Anywhere else

OMG.. some of the best BBQ that I have ever had. It was like my grandfather and grandma cooked everything. Gave me that back when I was a kid feeling. When things were done slow, done right, and made with love!! I appreciated this little place so much? I bought 2 t-shirts and still wear them proudly out and about. If you leave this place hungry? That's gonna be your fault. I highly recommend you stopping in this place!!
