The building is merely the stump of what it was prior to the Dissolution but even so it is magnificent. As you enter under the tower you are first struck by its towering spaciousness. If you then look directly up you see the floor of the tower high above. Well worth a visit.

Another small part of history left after Henry viii dissolution of the monasteries. This abbey church is a remarkable survivor and is well worth a look inside. There are memorials, tombs , effigies fine stained glass and the thought of what might have been if the remaining part hadn't been destroyed. The site is well curated with info boards through out. There is a nearby pay and display car park, which was partially out of order upon my visit. Well worth a look

Watching the new organ being installed has been fascinating. I can't wait to be given the opportunity to hear it and to play it.

Well worth a visit. I went to the I-Sing choir charity performance. Acoustics were great. The Abbey isn't huge but a lovely building.

Very impressive building with an interesting history. We spent quite a while talking to the lovely couple who look after visitors. Both obviously very involved with the Abbey. We visited just as the new massive organ had been installed, but not quite ready got use. We will be returning later this year.

Looks a bit unpromising from the outside I'll admit but lots of interesting features on the inside. Look out for the story of the Norman font

Brief visit. Sweet little abbey. Free to visit. Donations welcome. Parking nearby at a good price. Market town has a selection of cafés and shops...if passing by and enjoy historical places worth a visit

We saw this building from the outside and thought I couldn’t just walk past without seeing the amazing architecture to the building. They have a large field next to it where you can see lots of squirrels running around.

👍👍 Such a lovely park for the kids to play, the free splash pad is fab too. Lots of shaded areas for picnics. We went yesterday and discovered the nature walk which was lovely, saw some big birds too which were fab! It's such a lovely park and space.

👍👍 Had a great time at the light railway. The narrow gauge train runs around a short loop and then they move the train back to the front of the train using a turn table. This was great to see and then also enjoyed them backing up the train ready for the next run.
