This was unfortunately one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. The hotel rooms was dated and dirty and very unkept. Gross handprints all over the wall and the windows. Wallpaper falling off of the wall and a faint smell of urine. We were a party of 5, so we had utilize the pull out bed. I was mortified when I pulled the mattress out of the pull out couch to discover a very thin, pee stained mattress that was so thin you could visibly see where the springs were. I called down to the front desk and was offered a cot which we gladly accepted. The girl at the front desk brought it up promptly which was greatly appreciated. (She was the ONLY good part about this hotel). The air conditioner wasn’t working in our room either making for an uncomfortable night. The pool was also very small and dirty. I wouldn’t let my kids swim in it. I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel even if it was the only one available. I definitely think this hotel has a LOT of fake reviews…. Please take caution when thinking about booking here!!!

This hotel was pretty decent! One of the older Fairfield but still is good condition. The beds was comfortable. Breakfast was good, they had the usually options. They have so many restaurants around that’s not far at all.

My husband and I were traveling to visit family for Thanksgiving and stayed for one night. We found this hotel clean and the staff was friendly. Check-in was efficient. The room we booked was well laid out and was comfortable. It was divided into a seating area with a small sleeper couch, lounge chair, desk (and comfortable desk chair), and TV, and a bedroom area also had a TV as well as a king bed. The bed was comfortable, which is always an issue for my husband when we stay at hotels. The Internet was fine. The bathroom had plenty of space for toiletries and was clean. Free breakfast was included and offered enough hot and cold variety. The breakfast room staff was attentive to refilling all trays. The coffee was hot and good. Wytheville is the midpoint in our travels to visit family for holidays. We will continue to consider this hotel for future trips since it is convenient from the highway and meets our needs for a short-term stay.

Traveling to NC from Ohio so we stopped here late last night. This hotel is pretty basic, but it is clean, well maintained, and the beds were comfortable. The service when we checked in last night was absolutely fantastic. Their noon checkout is pretty awesome too! This hotel is exactly as advertised, which is a very nice 3 star location, right off I-77 & easy to get in & out of. I would definitely stay here again & refer to anyone looking for a good place to stop for a night or two in this area.

PLEASE READ THE FULL REVIEW to the bottom. We stayed at this hotel on Oct 14th. Tammy who helped us at the front desk was quite lovely and so helpful with such an amazing personality. We wish she was there when we called in with an issue we had of being charged 3 amounts on our credit card which we hoped was just a glitch in the system. The room is somewhat outdated but understandably because of its age. I called the hotel the next day upon arriving home regarding the 3 charges and the woman I spoke to on the phone was named Chelsea. She is the RUDEST staff of any hotel we have ever come across. Very rude, curt and always cutting me off. Completely unhelpful and useless to say the least. Refused to help us and kept telling me that only a manager could help me. Ridiculous and unacceptable customer service. By the way, we have Platinum Elite status and we use Marriott in many countries only to be met with lovely people (like Tammy). I was luckily able to connect again with Tammy eventually who was more than helpful and explained the situation to us and made things right. Her demeanor clearly shows why she is the day manager and is a wonderful liaison for the hotel. It is just too bad we had to have a horrible experience with Chelsea when you would think someone in customer service would know how to speak with people. Tammy gets 5 stars. Chelsea gets ZERO

I usually stay at the Hampton Inns when traveling but their quality has plummeted. Tried Fairfield Inn in Wytheville, VA and was pleasantly surprised! The bed was so very comfortable; the hotel and room were exceptionally clean; my requested feather pillows were great; there was actually half and half for coffee; breakfast was very good; and the staff could not have been better. As a Bonvoy member, I typically travel internationally and stay at the W hotels. For short stays in the US and Canada using mid level hotels, I will definitely now stay at a Marriott brand hotel rather than Hilton because of my experience with Fairfield Inn.

Good location quick off the exit. Gas station next door. Decent breakfast with hot food. Pleasant check in. Very nice desk person. Very welcoming. Good overnight stop

The hotel was not clean - the shower had trash in it, door handles had not been wiped down, elevator looked like it had not been cleaned in days, stains on the couch, not well maintained. The elevator was broken part of the time. On a positive note, the front staff was very helpful and cheerful; positive attitude. We book Marriott and Hilton and usually have good results. This hotel just wasn't up to standards.
