😠 New facility is very nice but unfortunately feels like a massive daycare at certain hours. Left my old gym for the close convenient location. Staff needs to monitor the gym a little better as I see a lot of young children in the free weight area and on cardio equipment. We we're told no one younger... People often mention time, working, children, room, YMCA, women, people, equipment, kids, child,

New facility is very nice but unfortunately feels like a massive daycare at certain hours. Left my old gym for the close convenient location. Staff needs to monitor the gym a little better as I see a lot of young children in the free weight area and on cardio equipment. We we're told no one younger than 15 was to be in that area and no one under 18 in the trx room but that doesn't seem to stick. The pool needs adult lap swim like the old center had as it is very hard to find a time to train in the pool with out kids and noodles. The only time I've notice that works well for swimming is either late at night or extremely early. Unless of course you're able to swim mid day. The pool was the main reason I joined this location, the close location was just convenient. The facility is hands down a 5 star facility but the lack of pool scheduling with two pools and the children running all over the place brings it to a 2 star. So I'll meet in the middlish with a 3.. Unfortunately, due to recent events, we have elected to move our family away from the YMCA.

This place is a waste of your time to go swimming. Most times they have no lifeguards. And their programs are a joke. Poorly ran. And they don't care.

This facility does not care about the safety of women and children. They allow adult men to parade around the women's locker room naked. They continue to defend the mentally ill male who enjoys exposing himself to women and underage children instead of standing up for the women who have voiced their concerns.

The main staff is great and facilities are awesome, BUT its the people… People just come here to talk, sit, and be on their phones taking up the time and space in the equipment. And if its not the adults, during busy hours its kids, many under the age of 15 running around out of control. I know its the Y but come on. Unfortunately I can only come during normal hours. You would think that the young employee is there to help with this kinda of stuff but they are usually on their phone. For this I can go to Planet Fitness and save me $25 if Im gonna have to deal with influencers, people in the way, chatters, kids, and time wasters.

New location just opened January 2nd! Great partnership with Central State University and Clark State Community College at the side of the building where people can go to take classes.

The front desk is kind. The gym, however, is really mismanaged. Teenagers hang out in the gym in what appears to be a nice unsupervised break from their parents. Large groups of loud men congregate at machines to root for one another. They get really loud and do not pay attention to the people around them. (I’m all for support, but not when is sacrifices the comfort and feel of safety for women who are working out alone). The gym staff doesn’t walk around or monitor people just sitting around on equipment and not working out. Nor do they care when women express discomfort with the loud group of men grunting and hollering. I was told “it’s a part of working out” I replied with “well you should monitor the large groups because it sacrifices the comfort of others” and I was met with a blank stare. Once again, women’s safety and comfort is way down the list of priorities for this location. I just rejoined after being a member before covid. I plan to cancel my membership after the first month. This gym doesn’t foster the kind of environment that I feel comfortable working out in.

It is very disheartening when you call about leaving an item at the Y and they tell you they have it and have your name on it, and when you go to get it, they cannot find it, and are quite rude about it and then you call back the next day to ask for help finding it, and are told even though it had my name on it, they may have put it out on a table for lost and found and anyone could have taken it, and will not view cameras. Very sad about this amd the poor service given by their employees. Thank you for you invalid reply. It was not over a week. It was late last week and I called to make sure. I went in last night on Tuesday and it was not able to he located. It was just over the weekend and if someone calls and claims their item, it should never have been put out for all members to be able to grab. That was irresponsible of your team. Please do not misinform the timeline. Not over a week. It was 6 days and I would have come sooner had I known your team was going to do that, but I was sick and didn't want to expose others. 😔 very disappointed in your reply as well.

The Xenia YMCA let’s men walk around naked in the women’s locker room. This man is harassing high school girls and the YMCA does nothing about it.

We really wanted this to work for our family but we only did a month and cancelled. Our daughter got hurt the third time we brought her to the child watch. She has been in other childcare settings and we have never had this happen before. The child watch employees informed me when I came to pick her up an hour aftet it happened. No one called me. Apparently they gave her a phone to watch Cocomelon to calm her down? I do not understand the judgment call please alert parents right away if something happens. It was very chaotic in the child watch that day at least 30-40 young children in the small child watch area. I took my daughter to get an x ray at urgent care and she is OK thankfully. Using the child watch is not worth the risk. We cannot leave our daughter in a place where she is not safe and joined the YMCA to have a gym with childcare. We hope you can improve the quality and safety of your programs.

Gymnastics teacher is rude to parents and children. Terrible experience. During the first month her teacher seemed impatient and at times told the kids “your stressing me out” this was a group of most 5,6,7 year old girls. At one point my daughter tried to ask for help and yasmine (coach) told her to start working. When I believed she was going to get injuries (on the mat somersaults where she’s rolling on her neck) I called her over and tried to help her. Yasmine yelled across the floor parents stop coaching then yelled at my daughter that she didn’t ask to get off the mat. My child was the youngest in the class and left to struggle through by this instructor. Second month got cancelled and I’m glad. I wouldn’t come back if it was free.

Really should let people know that you can’t take classes without a membership! I am new to this area and wanted to try a class at the Y. In Ross County, I used to attend classes at the YMCA as a guest and just paid per class. I drove all the way here and was turned down at the door. I was told that I needed to be a guest of a member. I don’t know any members! It is extremely rude and unprofessional to turn away potential customers. I won’t be returning.

My experience with this gym facility was excellent! I went to this place alone last week for the first time after my parents made my membership available! The front desk staff were kind and helpful, making things fast and easy. Answer questions. I don’t know yet about how the trainer thing works, but there are a lot of them in uniform walking around as you’re working out. Will keep in coming!

My favorite Y. It’s definitely more than a gym, the Xenia Y is a family, between the awesome members and staff, group exercise instructors and lifeguards, there’s always someone to lend a smile and a positive comment. I love the Y. It’s so clean, and everyone is so friendly and so down to earth and REAL. The group fitness classes are the best! I love the 5am crowd, and the 9am crowd! The pools are so clean and roomy, and it’s really nice to have access to some many different kinds of equipment in the functional room.

The crowd that workouts out in the fitness room is the WORST group of people I have EVER been around. 99% of members have zero gym etiquette. Doesn't matter if they are 25, 55, or 75 years old same behavior. You dont matter only they do so everyone sits on equipment on their phones for 20 and 30 minutes at a time. Or sits on equipment and has 30 minute conversation with their friends and have no regard to anyone else in the gym trying to better themselves. I've had conversations and wrote emails to the director, the managers and the trainers with absolutely nothing being done. They just say how sorry they are and let you leave mad. All they care about is selling more memberships that this building can't even hold or have room for. Hands down the worst YMCA in the Dayton area by far! Don't waste your time working out here unless you can spare 3 hour sessions due to the selfish inconsiderate memebers.

Great gym. Lots for the kids to do and the sports programs are great for the kids. The fitness center is well setup with good, new equipment. The pools are fantastic. Big improvement from the old one!

This place let's grown men flash children. Please do not take your children. Look up policies of places before you trust those with child care facilities! Your kids deserve better!

👍👍 Snap Fitness Xenia is a great gym. Open to members 24/7, always clean, and the owner is always looking for ways to improve the gym. A lot of the equipment is premium quality but members pay a very reasonable price. But what stands out at this location is the culture. Hard working, friendly individu...
