Miners in downtown Yakima usually is amazing, but this visit I was disappointed. My order was about $48 ordered 3 sandwiches for me and my 2 kids and a large fry to share. It took about 15 minutes to receive our food, when we received our order they forgot my club sandwich so I had to wait for another 5 minutes for them to get the manager. By this time I was already frustrated. The miner burger was delicious fresh, hot and juicy! The rest of the food on the other hand was a different story. My club sandwich was old stale and rubbery tasting, the sandwich had too much onions and over packed with mayo bun not toasted. The fries were cold and over salted and my chicken cesar sub the chicken was hard not hot the cheese was old and dry tasting and the bread was not toasted it was rubbery. I usually have excellent food in this establishment but this time I was very disappointed specially if you look at the price we paid. I am not a Karen to complain and throw a fit but I did throw away 70% of my food into the garbage. I usually come in with my wrestlers during the season but we might have to venture into new restaurants. Lets hope next visit we are wowed instead of disappointed.

We had heard great things about Miner's and couldn't drive by without giving them a try. On arrival we could tell this is the go-to place for burgers! Cars were lined up in the drive thru and inside the counter was 10 people deep. But the wait was short. What better choice than the Big Miner Burger. Loved it! It's truly BIG, with great flavor and a balanced amount of tomato, lettuce, and onion. Also got a large fry and a shake. The fries could seriously be shared with four people. The shake was smooth and enjoyable. This is a drive-in that prides itself on it's long history, friendly efficient staff, and tasty food. I'd definitely stop by again, next time we're swinging through town.

If you like burgers the size of your hand and sundaes that tip over due to the size...this is your place. Mega big servings! Great food. I had the bacon burger, fries, scallops, Pepsi, and a strawberry sundae...because when your rolling through you need to taste as much as possible...of course I didn't finish it...just wanted to experience as much of this tasty place as possible!

Been coming here since high school and remember coming here after our games, also coaches ate for free. Minor burger is the way to go if you've never been here. The fries are very tasty and I like how the condiment's are layed out still. This recent visit the burger seemed a little soggy and bun a little dry but I've been here many times and it's not always like that. Decor very aged but I like how it hasn't changed one bit.

We stopped by for dinner here, and gave our order to a nonchalant cashier. The interior was nothing special, but the food was great. The portions were massive, but we managed to finish it all. The burgers were pretty much the biggest I've ever seen. There are free condiments to go with your fries and burger. The only complaints I have are that the fries were a little under seasoned and pretty greasy, and the chicken in the salad I got was pretty dry. However, I was able to be save them with the free ketchup and the massive cup of ranch that came with the salad. Overall, the prices were reasonable and the food was pretty good, and the restaurant has been in business for a respectable 75 years. This place is a solid pick if you're looking to grab a big, juicy burger.

En Route to Richland for business, after a long day of hiking at Mount Rainier National Park, I was starving! I stumbled upon the Miner's Drive In and was grateful for their awesome food to satisfy my appetite! Old school fast food restaurant with delicious food and HUGE generous portions. I enjoyed a massively delicious Big Miner Burger and a mountain of fresh tater tots. I apologize about my photo, as it does not do the size of this burger justice. Needless to say, I was unable to finish my meal and had some leftovers. Fast, friendly service and great tasting food. If I ever find myself passing through Yakima again, I'd happily go back and suggest you do too.

If you ever find yourself in Yakima, Washington with an appetite for a huge selection of great food and tasty treats, fun atmosphere, and plenty of clean dining space than look no further than Miner’s of Yakima! This historic eatery has it all and have been doing it for over 75 years: reasonable prices, arcade games, all the dipping sauces you can handle at no extra charge, local heritage exhibits, friendly staff, plenty of parking, and the best gigantic burgers known to all human kind. Also, if you’re a coach and you bring your team, they’ll treat you better than I could ever explain. Trust me, no one leaves hungry or disappointed. I highly recommend eating and experiencing Miner’s exceptional food to any and all who crave a hearty meal in a uniquely awesome environment.

Portions are unnecessarily huge paid $20 for a cheeseburger that can feed 2 grown men no problem and an order of chilli cheese fries that is big enough to feed a school full of hungry children...ridiculous. Flavor wise it's ok nothing special meat looks boiled and chilli is not great in my opinion. It's a cool novelty place to stop by and check out the big food but that's it. I'd come back though.

I had the Miner’s burger and it was the Best Hamburger ever! And Huge. Everything is fresh, and cooked to order. They add plenty of fresh tomatoes, walls walls sweet onions, pickles and very tasty sauce. Pricing is very good. Customer service is excellent. Very Clean. They offer indoor dining or drive through. They also have a lovely picnic park, for those who prefer to eat outside. It’s a quaint restaurant with a vintage feel.

The food tasted really good but big amount of food. If you can’t eat a lot this is not the place for you but if you can eat and love good food this is the place to be at.

When traveling thru Yakima, Washington or visiting friends there, I have to visit #MinersDriveIn Restaurant they have been around for 75 years, since April 9, 1948. While Miner’s Drive-in have many things to enjoy including their great chicken sandwiches, Turkey Sandwich, and Halibut and chips, I always return to the namesake #BigMiner Burger. It’s huge, It’s bigger than my hand. But it’s not just the size that matters, the burger is stuffed full of fresh ingredients and great flavor. I love putting Miner’s meat in my mouth. I also enjoy ordering the #OnionRings which have to be eaten with Miner’s #TartarSauce it’s a PNW thing. While fry sauce may be an Utah thing, Tartar Sauce is the dip of choice in The Pacific North West. I look forward to many more Miner’s Drive-in Restaurant visits in the future, and wish them another seventy five years of success.

A buddy from this area recommended Miners for their old fashioned values through their food and he was spot on. Burger with everything was juicy and tasty. Fries shown is a small (just so you know) and their prices were affordable. The miner Burger as described was $8.89.

Celebrating 75 years! Last time I was there we had to get our food and eat outside on a bench. No grass under our feet or trees to create shade. There were seagulls that flew over us and tried to steal our food. I was worried one would bomb one of us! But the hamburgers were huge and still are! We enjoyed eating inside where it was cool. Unfortunately there was a vintiques show on but by the time we were leaving most of the cars were gone.

One of my favorite restaurants. The food is always good and we make special trips just to get lunch I usually order the big miner and the regular size french fries. This time we also ordered a corn dog, milkshake and the chicken strip basket. One thing I like about this place is that there is always some to take for later. We bring a small cooler 🙂 The fries are always good and crispy. The service hasn't been the best the last couple of visits.

One of the best burgers I have had on a long time. Friendly staff and clean environment. Take hit on the good budget but worth it.

Good tasting burgers and chicken strip baskets. I love how the food is made fresh as well. It’s worth the longer than average wait time in my option. Fries were a little soggy is my only complaint.

This place checked all the boxes. Giant delicious fish sandwich with perfectly tangy tarter sauce and all the fixins. Chicken tenders the size of your hand…and the most delicious chocolate marshmallow milkshake that was thick and stayed thick until after we finished our meal. The wait was at least 30 minutes, but it was worth it. Standard French fries…nothing special. They did provide Buffalo sauce which was the best part about those. If nothing else get a milkshake!!!

This is an icon!!! My family has been coming to Miner's since the early 1950s. We had family in Walla Walla, so we would stop each year on our drive, and it was one of the highlights of the long hot trip. I haven't ever tried anything but the tomato burger and fries. The menu is huge, and someday, I may get around to something else on the menu. There are some great items, I am sure. Miner's burgers are always hot and fresh with many toppings. The size is HUGE, and we typically split a burger. French fries are hot and fresh, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. They provide many different sauces to choose from. If you want a fantastic shake, get one here. They have picnic tables under trees on grass. If you prefer to sit in doors, they have lots of space and spotless clean. If you are in Yakima, drive out to Union Gap for an amazing visit.

Holy cow! Please note the size of the Miner's Single or Double is enought for 2 people, but so delicious. Also, the side order of curly fries can feed 2! Tried tge Peanut Butter Shake. Delicious. Real peanut butter chunks...not a flavoring. This place came highly recommended by a friend who grew up in Yakima so we stopped in and tried as we passed through to the Tri Cities.

Prices are not posted on most menu boards so when we received our burgers and tots, we were not surprised by the portions. $50 for 2 burgers and one order of tater tots, no drinks. The portions are big as far as buns, vegetables and the number of tots but the hamburger patties are flat as cardboard and cooked very well done. May as well have been veggie burgers. We really wanted a good burger. Put real meat patties on the burgers not the cardboard you are using.

Great fast service but the food is absolutely awful spent $32.00 on an order of chili cheese fries and double bacon burger and a Oreo milkshake. It’s packaged like a hospital or county jail food and taste like something from a 711 or AMPM. Gross and overpriced won’t be back. Milkshake was the only thing decent but had no Oreo cookies or whip just very plain vanilla burger with a fast drive thru.

Yummy as always! Large menu, huge servings. Forgot we should have shared fries with 3 instead or 2, lol! Next time ask them to cut burger. I didn't no shakes come with fresh fruit or syrup.. fyi Can't wait for next time.

Yes, Miner's in on the pricey side. The flip side to that is that the portions are giant side. Burgers are giant. The chicken strips were like flying saucer size! OK, really more like the size of a adults hand. And there were three of those monsters and tater tots too! Again, so many. And oh so good! Try out all their different sauces too- the ranch is amazeballs! Service was great and everyone left stuffed.

French dip was better than most restaurants, it was 1st time eating indoor, they have a large park area outside to relax

A friend suggested Miner's, so we drove from Olympia just to eat here. Great road trip, and the weather was warm and sunny. There's a nostalgic feel to this place. Nothing fancy but nice. There's also a drive-through for easy pickup. They do not offer any type of combo or value meal. All burgers, fries, and drinks are Ala carte. All burgers are dressed with mayo, onions, and lettuce. I was asked if I wanted tomatoes, so I guess they are extra, too. One order of fries was plenty for the two of us to share. We sat outside because it was nice, and we had our pup, Chè. Our meal was brought out to us, which was nice. In my opinion, the burger was uneventful but large. Nothing special. The fries were very good and crisp. We ordered a burger each, split an order of fries, and a large drink. Our bill totaled over 35.00. Pricey, in my opinion. The inside is quite large and worth checking out. View my photos to see what I mean.

The dining was very relaxing. It has the atmosphere we look for having children under 10. The deep fried food was way too heavy but the burger and sandwiches were very delicious.

Maybe I’m not the target audience for this place but good lord the food was ridiculous. Was it good? Sure. Not great in a memorable sort of way, but good enough for a visit. But the portions were ridiculously huge, even for a guy like me, who generally enjoys this kind of food. We ordered a small fry and if that was their small, I don’t want to imagine their large. I bet a burger and fries here is at least 2500 calories. It was also extremely expensive for two people. $40 for two orders of burgers (one chicken) and fries with drinks. It was a unique local experience but I probably won’t return. Nobody should serve portions that ridiculously large. The only picture I got doesn’t do it justice. But hey, they’ve been in business forever so I guess it works.

When I was in HS we would travel to Yakima for state basketball. Miner's was always a stopping point. Their food is as good as I remembered! Definitely get the fry sauce for dipping your Frenchfries. The burgers are huge, so make sure you are hungry! It does feel pricey for the area, and they are currently low staffed so it takes a while to get your food. Don't go here if you are in a hurry or have cranky/hungry kids. I also don't think they have updated ANY of the decor since they opened. But the dated feel is part of its charm.

I have been going to Miners since the early 80s. I will admit love the place except my last visit this summer. The food was less than marginal and service poor. I understand personnel have left or passed that helped keep the quality alive. I truly miss the Miners of old where the food was actually not cooked under heat lamps.
