We had a fantastic evening and dinner here! Dasun and his family run this new and refreshing place. The decorations are beautiful, and the vibe is really good. We tried the chicken cheese kottu, which was delicious, and hands down, the best Piña Colada I've ever had. I believe he used an entire pineapple 🍍 in the blender, mixed with quality Arrak and coconut 🥥 ! Next time, I'm curious to try the blue lotus drinks (unfortunately not available when we visited).

Ceylon Lotus Diner stole my heart and my stomach 🥰 The food is incredibly good, everything fresh and big portions. Mariyan is very good cook and you can feel that she puts a lot of love to every dish. And ohhh you have to try Pina Colada made by Dasun with a fresh coconut and pineapple! Delicious! We came to Sigiriya for almost a week and we felt like we become a part of the Lotus family. We felt taken care of in the very kind, not forced way. We spend lovely time with them and would love to come back in the future ❤️

A-MA-ZING! I had the absolute privilege of staying with Mariyan and Dasun at their home for a week in August. During this time I got to watch these absolutely wonderful people physically build this restaurant!!! I watched Mariyan do all the painting by hand! I watched Dasun in the swelting heat nailing the roof to the bamboo support beams. I watched this family handmake the tables and chairs. I watched his siblings/cousins/aunties chop, slice and peel the vegetables. I went with Mariyan and Dasun’s sweet sister in a tuk tuk to Dambulla to get all the veggies, rice, meat, eggs, coconut oil and lentils for their opening on Aug. 24th. An immeasurable amount of love was poured into this restaurant, and it was beyond inspiring to witness! You can taste it in every lentil Mariyan prepares and every freshly spiced piece of chicken Dasun BBQ’s. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant- go for the food, but strike up a conversation with Maryian and Dasun! They are truly so kind and ask them about staying in the hostel they are building! They personally took me on tours and to places I wouldn't have been able to see without their help!

This place is a must-visit coffee place! The owners of the place are the sweetest and serve the best SriLankian coffee Mariyan - the talented artist had the whole place painted by her. You should visit Ceylon Lotus Diners

We had a really yummy dinner here. The ambience and the decoration are amazing and all done DIY by the family. Our son loves tuktuks and had a great time when he was offered a ride here. Not to be missed while in the area.

We had a very tasty, traditional breakfast here. We had a Sri Lankan omelette, string hoppers, dhaal curry, coconut sambol and tea. The restaurant staff were very friendly and speak very good English.

100% recommended. The food was truly amazing, everything was prepared totally fresh and from scratch. Best rice and curry we had in Sri Lanka. The staff was so nice for us and they really went out of their way for us! The place is new, they build it all by theirself and it is so beautiful. You should visit this place!!

Amazing place of a loving person and his brother. They also made us tours throught secret places of the city at a very good price.

This was the highlight of my trip in Sigiryia! Me and my friend had the most incredible tour by Dasun and was shown places you won’t have the opportunity to see with anyone else. We then were made the most incredible curries by Dasun’s Mother at Ceylon Lotus, the best we have had during our trip! I couldn’t recommend this more! It’s a must when in Sigiryia!

We went on Safari organized by this family. They are all amazing people. They did their very best to make it a special day! They picked us up at different hostels because we went with 6 backpackers who stayed at different hostels. It was such a magical experience! The driver really knew where to find the elephants and even a crocodile. After the Safari we had dinner at their restaurant. It was delicious, so fresh. I would recommend the Rice and curry. Definitely would go back there! Thanks guys!!
