Not great, not bad kind of experience! Good part: The one thing I loved the most was the food in the village, some was prepared earlier and some was prepared in front of us and some was prepared by us. They made us learn some really good chutneys. Not so good part: the bull cart ride was was long which was tiring and also the roads are narrow and there could be risk of mishappening. It also had a boat ride which was again kind of boring because only we 2 people with boatman were in the lake. So much can you enjoy the nature in a full Sun at 2 pm!! Definitely food was worth but nothing else made me happy.

Look let’s be honest, on the surface this does look like it’s going to be a weird tour. A sort of like “let’s go look at poor people” tour. And I’ll be honest I was dragged to it but the owner of my hotel That being said - it’s actually genuinely great I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. You get a cooking class and get to have a good traditional dinner if nothing else. If you take it for what it is, it is a good laugh

It was sad spending money and time on this tour. We neither cook with them nor watched wildlife on the lake where we were for only 10 minutes. Preparing food was not more than make rice flour and a coconut paste. The ride was the worst of it. Maybe we just had the wrong tour provider. Don’t go with that one. We even told them afterwards that we were disappointed, but they didn’t take us serious. Our expectations were low but this tour made it worse.

Good service . Nice experience . Remembering old village life of sri lanka. The foods are amazing. Clean village house. "Marcus village house" really nice experience . Bullock cart , boat rides and old house experience really super nice .

A must do activity if you want to explore cultural and traditional Sri Lanka experience We opted for bill cart ride to local village we also took boat ride to view land rock and spent time in learn food preparation and harvesting of rice then a tuk tuk ride One of our favorite days

Went on the boat trip and was very average. They tried to charge us 6500, even though earlier had been quoted 4000. Nice touch with the Lilly pad hats but not much else.

You could easily bypass the first part (the cart ride and the small trip on the boat), but once you get to the village the good part finally starts. You get a small traditional cooking class and one of the best meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka

Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for adventure. This tour was packed with adventure and excitement. The service was amazing. It is definitely worth the price. The cart ride, boat ride and village food was priceless. Would love to visit again!

A good place to go. We can have a great time with then. Those who come with us are also v good.

Bullock cart ride through the village road, boat ride on the spectacular lake with the site the Sigiriya Rock and real tasty Sri Lankan village food. It was a treat 🔥🔥🔥
