Very nice place, feels like in little jungle. We really enjoyed pool bar, they do amazing cocktails from fresh fruits and staff is super friendly. Stayed on the 5th floor with gorgeous view and room was great, with everything you need. They do offer tours, we did Sunrise and Safari trip, we enjoyed a lot, driver did a great job. I would definitely recommend to stay here.

Stopped here for breakfast - food was good and there was a lot of it (set menu including fruit, toast w/ jam and butter, eggs, fried potatoes, and pancakes!) but the service took a really long time - basically a full hour. Cost for this set menu was 2550 LKR as of May 2, 2022. We loved the cute boxer and rottweiler puppies too!

The rooms were alright for the price we paid and the pool was stunning and the staff service was excellent..siddbu the barmen was really nice including all the staff..only downside is the food..the quantity of the portion is very poor. This is a good hotel for a stay but avoid food orders.

Nice place, so kind people that will help you with anything! Good food and fresh juice. The pool had a few leafs in it because of all the wind and rain, but it worked to swim in even if it rained. Recommend to stay at this hotel. The owner is also Swedish so that was nice facts to know.

Sundaras is conveniently located in Dambulla town itself very close to the Rock Temple. The staff are friendly and helpful. While the hotel has quite a large number of rooms, it is quite cluttered and there is hardly any garden space. However, the swimming pool is of decent size and has a nice pool bar as well. The facilities provided in the rooms need to be maintained properly. The toilet needs slight repairs plus the facilities for tea/coffee in the room wasn't adequate. If you are looking for a convenient location in proximity to the tourist sites in Dambulla, this is a good place to stay. If you are looking for a relaxing stay, this may not be the place for you.

Rooms are very clean also they look good airconditioning is working fine! Swimming pool was nice has a pool bar. The service is great speak English wel enough to have a comfortable stay. Location is great since it’s a 5 minute walk to the cave temple. For Sri Lanka standards this hotel is in one word excellent!

The good: The best part of this hotel was the people working in it. They were very friendly and helpful, always being there if you needed them, even though they could not solve all the issues on the spot, but that is not their fault. The tours they gave us were really good, we loved them, Tilly was a great guide. Breakfast was also very good, it consisted of tea, omelette, fruits and Sri Lankan pancake. The bad: Well, this is not a 4-star hotel according to EU standards, would rather give it somewhere around 3. The bottom of the mattress in the room was moldy, the mirror in the bathroom was broken, and in general, furniture needs to be renewed, and maintained. Hot water was not always there, maybe after 15 min waiting we had some.

They claim to be a 4 star but they are nothing better than a lodge.. Very poor management. No hot water, no wifi, broken bath room doors, etc. The staff keeps promising to solve the problems but nothing happens. They changed three rooms during my two night stay. The only good part is tasty food.. but very expensive..

Very nice place! Absolutely lovely staff, always ready to help us/talk with us. Also, breakfast was awesome - it was like 3 course meal and very delicious. I really recommend this place. 🤩 Would return anytime!

The rooms are old and poorly maintained. The bathroom doors had broken locks. There was no hot water. Pool was not very clean. But the resort had a good feel. With a little maintenance would be good. The staff were extremely helpful. Both dinner and breakfast was good. The resort dog Bruno was a nice surprise. Helped chase the monkeys away.

Waste of Money , they charge triple the price , No Shower , No TV , No Wi-Fi service not good , food not good please avoid this resort

Stayed during my recent cycling trip in Sri Lanka. Great room and beautiful surroundings. Local food available within walking distance. Very helpful staff.

The pool and bar with the service of this place is amazing, not only they give the opportunity to use the pool and the pool bar but also in such heat of Sri Lanka they provide with amazing class dinner and take care of their guests.

We had a really nice time here and got amazing Cocktails. We also tried the restaurant. The grilled chicken was extraordinary. The staff is nice and will help you with everything.

Dirty room, shower not well maintained, TV not working, no Internet, no coffee, no batteries for remote control, seems that owner not polite as we left the hotel and he did not waive the full cost of the reservation, even after sending the messages he refused to refund us. Swimming pool dirty, tiles broken, no staff only 4 people as much I see. Mosquitos everywhere even inside the building and room, and did not stay at all, I run away!

We just were there for lunch. The food is nothing special. Staff was nice, but they wanted to have an extra "tax" (20 %, additionally to the service charge). We paided it, but were really dissapointed. Of course we understand the situation in Sri Lanka, but it's not necessary to scam people. Next time, please ask for a generous tip!

Amazing place to stay for one night when in Dembula. Staff is really helpful, essentially their driver Adrien. We felt super safe with him thanks to his kind attitude, very good English and broad knowledge about Sri Lanka. Ask for him when you need any transportation in the area, he is the best!

Our stay was quite enjoyable. The pool area looks really cool, and the staff stands out for their genuine friendliness and helpfulness. We were surprised with a three-course menu on Christmas. The cocktails at the pool bar are a definite highlight and worth trying.

Beautiful hotel right next to the entrance of the Golden Temple and caves. Amazing service, stunning pool & bar. We got a free upgrade to the deluxe room with balcony, super clean & comfortable. The rooms have all been renovated and everything is new. Don't hesitate, this really is a great place to stay for a few nights to visit the surrounding highlights.

This property has clean and spacious rooms. The bathroom is also spacious.The room amenities and the services provided is reasonable for the price you pay. They have a nice pool bar with a good selection of cocktails.Highly recommend this place if you are going on a budget trip as the service they offer is better for the price you pay.
