It's a beautiful historical building with a big, varied garden. On sunny clear days you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance. The original owner's information (the younger brother of the last shogun, who lived abroad as a child) is very interesting and there is a museum onsite dedicated to his story. I learned a lot about that period in history from the museum. Also, at the bottom of the hill there area couple of good restaurants after your visit. One is the Thai restaurant, where I recommend not getting the set menu, because the food here is excellent but the set menu is kind of boring. The other is the traditional Soba place near the Lawson.

An excellent garden (if it's a clear day you can see "half" Fuji , or at sunsets) Inside gardens there are two museums, one history museum (changing regularly the exposition) and the second museum is a former house of a imperial family member. Don't miss a great place.

I wish there were English explanations in the museum and tour guides for both house and museum. Very well maintained and pretty view.

Beautiful park on the hill. Residence of the family home of Tokugawa Akitake, younger brother of the last of the Tokugawa shoguns. Seasonal events and exhibitions are held. On the photo - chrysanthemum festival in Autumn.

A beautiful and calm place with a high quality air index. Entrance to the park is free. There is an entrance fee for the museum and Tojo House. It is not allowed to eat food or playing in garden

Here you can learn who the brother of the last Tokugawa Shogun was. There is also a wonderful traditional Japanese garden.
