Friendly staff, cold food (no matter what you order). They even ran out of tomato sauce and were too tight to buy some from the local shop opposite.

Decent Wetherspoons located in Yates shipping complex. Food is decent, drinks are cheap.

The local Wetherspoons in Yate - good food, cheap drinks and a nicely decorated place. The toilets feel like they are miles away from the main restaurant (especially when you’ve had a drink). The food is of decent quality for pub food and they also do a good breakfast. Some good deals on food throughout the week. It can sometimes get very busy at Thorns Farm. It is normally clean in there. I recently had the Smashed Avocado English Muffin (Avocado, Guacamole, Pico De Gallo) for breakfast and I added maple bacon for 85p and my other half had the Traditional Breakfast our meals came out quickly but were below average. It was strange having onion for raw red onion for breakfast and the bacon I added came out stone cold and the avocado was chopped rather than smashed and looked nothing like the advertisement picture. My partner was also missing the tomato from his Traditional Breakfast which is annoying as it’s not good enough to miss items and this isn’t the first time something like this has happened at Thorns Farm where things have been forgotten.

Beyond bad. Breakfast was awfully, hard overcooked eggs, sausages that had sat under a warmer far too long , rubbery pancakes with only a couple of peices of sad, limp bacon. There was no salt to be found as they had run out, I mean how can you run out of salt? They must have run out of sauce as well as all the bottles seemed to be empty. To top it off both coffee machines were not working. It did appeared that there was a staffing problem as there seemed to be only 1 waitress trying to do everything, the poor girl was doing the work of 5 people and needs a bonus or pay raise. I would have preferred for the management to acknowledge the problems and stopped serving breakfast, people could at least find somewhere else to eat instead of paying for the inedible garbage they where serving. But I guess it is all about money in the till and screw the customer.

A lovely clean comfortable Whetherspoons, the food was terrific. I had a pizza, which was delicious, my colleague had the chicken tikka masala which again was very very nicely cooked and tasty

Great drinks and food!

This Wetherspoons is great, the staff always seem very helpful if you need anything. The ease of being able to order on the app is a bonus and the food is always spot on and of good standard, well cooked and what you would expect from a wetherspoons. Food is really good value for the good quality they provide. The inside is kept clean and well maintained and having the outside eating/drinking area is handy.

Standard Wetherspoons pub. Good selection of beers and ciders and the microwaves are always working overtime of pumping out the standard foods, ordering through the app is quick and easy, the toilets are always very clean although they are a good hike from the bar so best pack some walking shoes. the clientele are shall we say "interesting!" Staff are always friendly

Great prices on the drinks. Food service could be much better. The food flys out too quick in my opinion. We were a table of 5 and three of us had issues with out meals. Wrong items / Lacking something etc. Slow it down a tab and make sure each dish is correct. Other than that . It's a Wetherspoons. You get what you pay for don't ya 😜

Cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. Ordered everything by app. Food arrived quickly but some drinks orders took a long time to be delivered. Toilets very clean.

Never have to wait too long for food , even when busy. Pleasant staff & good size portions. Great that you can have more coffees at no extra charge & such a low price. Shame other pubs/ restaurants can't do the same.

You know what to expect from 'Spoons but I was a little anxious about a post Xmas visit for breakfast on 27th Dec. Needn't have been. Coffee cups arrived within 3 minutes of ordering via the app, six breakfasts, including my own excellent Eggs Benedict, all arrived just 5 minutes later. Toilets and dining area all very clean. Staff busy, diligent and still with time for a smile.

Usual spoons food and drink, loud bustling atmosphere as is to be expected. Only due to being in Yate....you have the weird webbed feet locals there. Probably the best cooked steak I've had in a Wetherspoon to be honest; really tender, good griddle marks and exactly the level of rare that I enjoy at home. Usually it's one end of the scale or the other in chain pubs ....either too rare or too over. Keep it up chef

You get what you expect. Yate has been lacking a pub close to the Shopping Centre since the White Lion closed. It's not the Ritz but in "Spoons" tradition, its affordable drinks and decent food. Also with tradition the toilets are an endless walk up two flights on stairs. Cannot fault the staff, always go out of the way to provide customer service.

I'm not going to lie, this is where I get my favourite pizza. I am in no way easy to please when it comes to food, (which is hard to believe when I say my favourite pizza is from spoons). The spicy meat pizza is on the border of perfection, the size could be a little bigger, but on my less hungry days, it's perfect. On top of that, there is a lady here who has gone above and beyond. Taking time to help us out to move to a bigger table so our baby would be more comfortable.

Another day , another Spoons,getting to be a habit! Only a coffee run this time so no big surprise, cheap, hot and available. Not my favourite Spoons but the only one in Yate so it was fine for what it is.Outside area very clean and well laid out, the staff a little slow l opine when waiting in line ( no bad poetry intended here) but a minor issue and it's noticed that they all do their respected roles with courtesy and efficiency.l will obviously use it again as any issues are minor and l am only trying to give a balanced review here.We would be a poorer community if we didn't have a Spoons conveniently near,although my nearest one is approximately 4 miles away, my personal cross to bear.

Lovely friendly local. Food was quick and hot. Cleaned our plates. Service was friendly and staff cleaning the tables were mother and daughter who worked quickly at clearing old plates.

Have been to this spoons many times and have always found the staff really helpful amd good at their jobs! You never have to wait too long and they usually get everything right!

Went for breakfast this morning. The food was delivered pretty quickly but was only warm, not hot. Seemed to be quality ingredients, the sausages and bacon were very tasty and the coffee machine makes an awesome latte. The only downside was all the chairs looked like they needed a good wash or replacing.

I have loved Yate Wetherspoons for a long time but the service i received from tonight from Tina, John, Becky and Kaleb was exceptional. I would absolutely recommend a visit here due to the exceptional staff and great atmosphere. Thank you to the team (I asked their name; Tina, John, Becky and Kaleb) I have loved my evening! :)

Class spoons, what else can I say.

It's a bit hit or miss this place. I have never had a bad breakfast (they do need to learn how to fry an egg though often cold and undercooked) There veggie curry is nice but why oh why is every rice dish I eat the rice is rock hard???? The decor is very shabby and couldn't believe last week went in to order food told we couldn't be served as they had ran out of clean plates???

Appaling customer service, staff serve locals before customers that are patiently queuing to be served, when challenged the manager says "we don't operate a queuing system here" the attitude absolutely stinks, couldn't care less Don't bother complaining via the JD website as they just send the complaint to the manager, not much use when the complain is regarding the manager Ths pub makes out its family friendly but encourages loud behaviour and swearing, please avoid if you have kids.

Cheap, very quick service and friendly staff. Love it here.

Nice food, relatively fast service

Not the cleanest pub in Yate

We ate inside but due to the heat and the doors being left open, there were loads of flies that kept trying to land on our food (I'm not being over dramatic, promise!) The staff were stretched to capacity and it was mainly younger customers in there who seemed to enjoy shouting out to other people and moving around between tables. This meant I had to shout to my partner sitting opposite me, just to be heard. I didn't feel particularly covid safe but not because of the staff, more the customers not keeping any social distance. Considering this was an 'eat out to help out' eve to encourage us back to the pubs, its put me off repeating the experience. Didn't enjoy the atmosphere, wont be back.

Considering the current covid-19 situation I was apoauked by the cleanliness here. Litter and use tissues under every table from what I could see, even used face coverings under the table opposite to us, unfortunately I only noticed once we had ordered or I'd have left. Tables were not clean and still had food smeared on them, the tables were given a very quick wipe over once other guests had left there tables, certainly substandard to what was expected and is being advertised. Wetherspoons food fine as always but I wouldn't go to this branch again

Had a good night and staff very good. Drinks good and food was ok just not hot enough and not as well presented as other Spoons. Very understaffed and do not know why everybody here seems to queue up for a drink? Weatherspoons need to invest in more staff.

Really, felt for manager, tonight so many young people wanting to enter pub, we had wonderful experience, food fab, service excellent, then youngsters started to queue out side, as can't go into town, as clubs closed, this pub limited to how many it can admit, all really difficult for all, but 11/10 for staff thank yoou all really well managed

I enjoyed it here. Agree with one reviewer it's a bit of a trek to the toilets though. Inexpensive like all Wetherspoons and somewhere I felt comfortable being in on my own. Looks out onto the street. Outside seating if I remember rightly.

Crowded, tables sticky and uncleaned,food barely warm let alone hot, congealing mess on a place.
