I have never had a bad meal in the Bolero Lounge, the food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are superb. They have a huge gluten free menu, their menu has something for everyone and they do daily deals throughout the week. I would highly recommend tapas Tuesdays where you get to pick 3 dishes and a glass of wine for only !12! Definitely worth a visit!

Great atmosphere, like being on a taverna abroad. Great selection of food and drinks. Being very fussy about my food, I frequently find it difficult to find something I would like/want to eat but here I had the opposite problem of having so many things I really wanted. Choices for another day. The service was excellent and the staff friendly.

Surprised by the many negative reviews as really enjoyed the food and service here! I had a very delicious burger which was easy to eat due to its size. The staff were all really friendly and wait time was exceptionally short. Lovely cosy interior as well. Will definitely be back!

It’s a great place to take some time off and relax with the atmosphere and vibes of the place. I like coming here with my daughter and dog and both enjoy it. The staff are friendly and treated the dog with a treat and some water. The food and drinks are amazing. 5 stars ✨

We had two burgers - beef and chicken and both were amazing. Surprised my partner finished hers. Really good atmosphere and staff are very polite. Another bonus as toilets were clean. Strongly recommended.

Arrived having had a booking messed up elsewhere. Ordered breakfast via the QR code. When it arrived far more than I was expecting and hot/fresh and well seasoned. Absolutely stunning and highly recommended. Only criticism is it was quite chilly in the restaurant hence marked down on atmosphere.

Have eaten here a few times. Always a great atmosphere. Food is really nice never had a bad experience, good selection of food and drinks, however only one cider on tap which is what holds it back from a 5 star review. Food is quite reasonably priced but the drinks are quite expensive. The service is always excellent and the staff are very friendly.

I really like the atmosphere and the lovely people working there. Great food at reasonable prices. Dropping 1 star due to neighbouring meat van generator noise if you sit outside. Don't be put off and sit inside.

I absolutely loved the Superhero Burger nice crisp bacon and succulent meat cooked to perfection and nice fries all in all I enjoyed it very nice food indeed and my mum and fran's meals were also brilliant certainly worth coming and checking it out for yourself and not expensive either all I'd say if your looking for a beef Or chicken dinner as in a carvery it's not the place for carverys, it's like burgers and other types of meals but I don't believe they don't do carvery meals or anything like that, but like I said come check it out for yourself. I give it 3?

Had the big breakfast and my god did that not disappoint. I do have a great fondness for large portions but even that was to much for me. The place was busy and the kitchen and staff dealt with it brilliantly. Great food great service. 5 out of 5.

Been here twice to get takeout food. Both times has been really nice and fresh. Partner is very fussy, so really nice that you can customise the order to fit requirements. Friendly staff and very welcoming.

I had the buttermilk chicken, a Raspberry lemonade and a cheesecake and it was amazing, I would definitely recommend!

Dog friendly place with plenty of various seating options available. This is part of the Lounge chain, so expect a similar set up to of lounges... order via app. The food is good though and prices responsible. Service was good but it was a quiet period. My first time at this particular place but would certainly go back.

The Bolero Lounge is one of the better spots to eat in Yate. Despite being part of a chain, the food is decent, and the atmosphere is always good. The staff are usually very friendly. It’s a good place to meet with friends for a drink and enjoy some tapas to share. There’s also a quiz night, which is a nice event. I would say their burgers are probably their best food offering - we often get these via click and collect. My only criticism of them is the burgers themselves can be a little on the dry side - otherwise, they’re pretty tasty - and the chips do get cold quite quickly. It is the best takeout offering in the local vicinity, though.

Covid secure, table meticulously cleaned before we were seated, easy to order and pay from table using the App, food hot and tasty. Staff nice and welcoming. Restaurant and toilets clean.

I went here with my girlfriend. We both got the Bombay burger which was incredible very tasty, however I also ordered some halloumi fries. These were very bland and only 3 came out… for £6-7… which is just mental money for what it is in my opinion. Great service and nice staff with a nice atmosphere, just very dark.

Came in with my partner and pup, had an absolutely amazing meal. Our waiter was outstanding!! He told us he had only been there two weeks, clearly a great guy to have on board! Only had brief encounters with some other staff but they were just as helpful. 100% would recommend!

Went for lunch today. As always, the food was spot on. However the highlight of the meal was how accommodating , polite and attentive the staff are. Especially Becky today, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning again soon.

Ordered our food via the app. The food took so long to arrive that People who came in after us where getting their food. When food arrived was not hot but warm. Not an offer of free drinks cause of the wait. Was my first time there and will be my last .

Absolutely fantastic. We came in on a Monday afternoon so there was plenty of space to sit. Plenty of veggie options, tasted great. Friendly staff and a cool vibe! Will be coming back :) Update: having been regularly visiting since my last review, the fab experience has continued on every visit! :)

Love it here - often busy and due high ceilings can be quite loud at times as popular with friends with youngsters. Great options for food/drinks; have loos. Order & pay at bar once seated and selection made. Quirky decor; relaxing lounge offering mixed seating, incl. outside.

Love this place! Excellent value for money, great cocktails and food. Highly recommend the Tapas. Service is brilliant too and you can order from your table or go up to the bar. Only problem is you can't book a table (perhaps they book large groups but I'm not sure!)

My mother & I came here for lunch. The food was delicious & so were the cocktails & wine. The waiting staff were very polite & had a lovely mannerism. We will definitely come back again. I highly recommend.

Well…. I have never had such an incredible brunch experience in my life! I know that might sound like an exaggeration, but they deserve it! So me and my husband decided to pop out for brunch with our two dogs on a whim… and decided to go to the Bolero Lounge. And glad we did, the service was exceptional, the coffee was perfection and the breakfast eggs - NEXT LEVEL! You know when someone gives great service when they’re serving you, we’ll even the ones who weren’t serving us were absolutely insane too! Every single person smiled and acknowledged both us and our dogs… a bowl of water came rushing over for them without even asking … and then this followed by a bowl of sausages that they were passing out to people with dogs in there… So, they deserve this 5* review, if I could do a 6* I would… I had to order something else on the app just so I could give s tip as I had no change on me, and if there was a team of people that deserved it - this was them! Whomever the manager is in there, fair play - you know your stuff, you clearly look after your people and they are exceptionally well trained and engaged! We will 100% be back!

Great place to meet up with friends. Staff friendly and efficient. Good menu selection. Only grump, I guess, is side salad priced at £3.50 was meagre, served in very small bowl. Just salad leaves, 2 cherry tomatoes and no cucumber. Would have included red onion but I asked for no onion. I do not call that a side salad. Grossly overpriced.

We chose to sit outside on a sunny Monday lunchtime having collected menus and been talked through how to order at the bar or following a QR code on each table to a website. We chose to order drinks and food through the website so we could stay sitting out in the sunshine. The ordering process was easy and offered all the options for customising the menu items, adding extras etc. very easy. Our drinks came very quickly and a few minutes later our food was delivered to the table fresh and hot. We both enjoyed our choices of bacon and cheese burger & beetroot and feta flatbread. All in all a very positive experience 🙂

When this place opened it quickly became my favourite place to go. Love the decor and music they play. Lovely ambience, making it a fab place to meet up. The food was mostly yummy with a great selection for vegans and veggies and nice cocktails. However... The past 3 visits have seen this place go downhill. The staff are very friendly but the food has been quite below par. Garlic bread that had no taste and was just greasy soggy bread ( when asked at the end how our meal was I pointed out that the garlic bread had no garlic in it and wasn't nice and the staff member just shrugged shoulders). Portions seem to have got smaller, food in general just not as nice as it used to be. Another visit during an afternoon it wasn't very busy in there but ALL the empty tables had piled up dirty crockery on them which we had to move if we wanted to sit at a table. Then when seated table was so sticky and had to ask twice if someone could wipe our table. Server was very pleasant but took a long time to come serve and then walk past all dirty tables not taking any used crockery or cups/glasses away with him. Another visit I just met some friends for cocktails ordered a bakewell one(normally delicious) but it had the oddest flavour, weird burnt after taste so informed the barman and he eventually mixed me another drink a raspberry mohito which was so bland with way too much soda in it so was pretty tasteless and felt like I was drinking a soft drink. Its such a shame this place has gone a bit downhill as customers will stop returning and it would be such a shame to see it closed down. Please go back to being as good as you were when you opened!

Great range of food on the menu, separate vegan and gluten free menus available. We hadn't booked but were able to just walk in, greeted by friendly staff. Food was delivered really quickly and the mobile service for COVID-19 worked really well. I would definitely recommend the tapas plate, choice of 3 delicious tapas and a general portion of ciabatta for £10.95!!

On the first visit I had a dirty glass, and felt like it was an inconvenience to the staff member- a shame as everyone else was very friendly and nice. We decided to give this place a second chance.... atmosphere was great, music was good to vibe to, friendly staff, wish I could say the same for the food.. all frozen and did not enjoy. Overall nice place and very spacious which I enjoyed but would only come for the cocktails minus the food.

This is my favourite place to eat in Yate, whether it is Breakfast, lunch or dinner as a Vegetarian I can always find something to tickle my taste buds. It is incredibly family friendly and digs are welcome too. I love the ambience here, it is so chilled.

Food and drinks here is actually nice. With a good selection and gluten free and vegan options too which is fab. The alcohol menu is good with cocktails and moctails as well as coffee making facilities. The style is very 1920's speak easy, the toilets are a little dark but decor is nice throughout very quickly with old lamp shades hanging from the ceiling at different lengths in all colours. Bifold doors allow fresh air and light in on lovely days and a large seating area outside. The tables where not clean at a not very busy time staff members seemed to be taking behind bar then one went off on lunch break ate and then continued to talk instead of clearing tables and wiping things down. Even when our food was served you could clearly see table needed wiping. Would be a higher score if staff where a little more proactive and customer service was a little better.I

This place was busy. When we ordered we were told that there would be a 30 to 40 min wait, so you were given the chance to go elsewhere if you were in a hurry. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Good size portion and all hot. Lovely relaxed place with different seating, tables and chairs, high tables with stool and settees so lots to please whatever type if dinning you are after.

Great selection of vegetarian and vegan food and have been back many times but Kids portions were too small. A wider selection of beer would make it 5 star

Went there on a Saturday and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff was cheery, the drink were good and the food was delicious. Loved the atmosphere there and it was a really.good experience Its dog friendly and kids friendly! Hop on down if you want to have a nice time and good food!

Nice chilled atmosphere and great food

Edited: My first visit, Nice atmosphere. Good food. Got orders mixed up a little bit but I would still come back again. Edit: Came back and again dissapointing. Been waiting 10 minutes in the queue at the till, Saturday evening certainly overwhelming for staff, need to hire more people to unload the queue. My coffee order got forgotten, we ended up eating our snacks without coffee, I had to remind the staff because they completely forgot to serve it. Will not come back again.

Visited here for the first time last night for my birthday celebration with my dearest friends. The staff were so friendly, ensuring our food was OK, we were all enjoying ourselves but were not intrusive. The food was really good. We all left saying we would return and it's an idea location for us, around the mid point to where we all live. Excellent experience. Thank you.
