Went for a gorgeous walk around the whole island and found a cache or 2 as well! Pretty place and a huge hit for dog lovers almost every single person we encountered had one or even 2 dogs, all well behaved which was a pleasant surprise!

Norms Island features a fantastic 2 mile trek along the Yellowstone River. It's a great place for the family and their dogs to get out and spend some quality time together. There are a couple of areas with slower running back water for dogs to take a dip. Oh and bring bug spray in the hotter months because the mosquitos can get thick. The fresh air and the scenery is great!!

Seemed like a great trail: dog-friendly, bike-friendly, decent shade-cover, and access to water. But when we visited, mid-Juky around 1pm, the mosquitos were awful. So bad that we could only make it about half a mile before we started jogging to lose them and eventually just turned around and left. It was beautiful while it lasted though!

Great place to go for a walk or if you wanna see any wildlife. Flood tore up the walking path though.

A solid park with well maintained trails. Great for dogs with plenty of space. Additionally there are a few trail break offs if you'd like to take a nice or run. Additional paths leading Josephine Crossing or how to get Riverfeont Park. Pretty cool loops with great scenery.

Great dog friendly paths! For those that have dogs that are able to run free, it's an especially great option! Or for those like me, you can always let the well behaved one run free while the not-so-well-behaved one is on a leash! It's peaceful, and beautiful!

So, like, the trails are pretty darned icy right now. Bring walking sticks and wear ice cleats if you have them.

My dog Boo and I love Norm's Island. It's a great place to put away the electronics and listen to the birds and watch the changing seasons.

Scenic beauty, the Yellowstone River, rock bars, and friendly people with dogs. What could be better? 1.7 miles around the long trail with options to meander making for a longer walk. The trail in the parking lot connects Josephine landing to riverfront Park with many more miles of trails. See you there!!

👍👍 Awesome place to walk with your dog (or without). All trails are paved & easy to walk. Wish people would do better picking up after their dogs. Doggy bags & trash cans are available.

👍👍 The view are spectacular! We went to play disc golf but discovered a beautiful hiking Are with vista views in all directions. Don’t let the elevation scare you, start walking and you’ll be up there in no time. Best disc golf I’ve played, it’s not for sissy City types that need manicured lawns. It’s...
