from
the

was
mentioned
in
the
texts
of
Al-Musnad
in
the
form
of
Sanu
,
which
is
derived
from
“musna’a”,
which
means
fortress
in
ancient
southern
Arabic
,

In
the
seventh
and
eighth
centuries,
the
city
turned
into
an
important
center
for
the
spread
of
Islam
,
so
it
preserved
the
heritage
ofReligious
and
political
is
evident
in

mosques,
21
baths
and
6,500
houses
dating
back
to
before
the
eleventh
century
.
The
multi-storeyed
tower
dwellings
and
old
brick
houses
add
to
the
beauty
of
the
site.
