Lhudròng memorial garden in Thimphu is a beautiful place to spend time with nature. It is located behind the Thimphu Dzong. You can get the amazing view of the Dzong from here. The park is very big, clean and green. Beautiful landscapes and ponds having fishes make you feel happy. Take a walk and feel fresh and cool breeze, that will refresh you. Beautiful and colourful flowers, huge varieties of plants all around are like a treat to your eyes. The Thimphu Chu river flowing here, enhance the beauty of the park. It is a nice place to spend time with your loved ones especially with kiddos.

The best park among other parks in the capital. Very rich in flora and the ponds are full of fishes. Trees, plants and flowers are very healthy and beautiful. Landscaping in and around the ponds are done really nicely by blending the background view of the Dzong and surrounding buildings. And other side of the public footpath has a vast green space along the Wangchu river.

One of my best natural park or garden that was beautifully laid down. You have a lunch spot, open and clean. The Thimphu chu river adds to the calmness and beauty of the place. There are varieties of flowers, all native to the Himalayan regions of Bhutan growing and blooming at different seasons. It’s a accessible by road as well as by a cantilever bridge across the Thimphu river.

This is a hidden gem of a park, it is considerably smaller than the coronation and botanical parks, but I found it much richer and greener than the others where somehow you feel the area is barren even with flora surrounding you. May be it's the small amount of visitors it gets, the park feels fresh. The view of the dzong across the river makes it an ideal spot for photography. The small water bodies are a beautiful touch. Since the time I saw photos of the park 2 years back, I wanted to visit it. Unfortunately the pandemic messed up my plans, and today one wish fulfilled, and very well indeed.

One of the serene gardens in Thimphu with different types of trees and flowers. The best time to visit would be in spring when flowers are in full bloom.

Best to visit in spring, with abundance of Bhutan’s flora in display. And enjoy the mountains and river side at the same time

Tashichoedzong area as surrounded by the five significant sites according to ancient text. The memorial garden is home for many species of birds and animals. This garden provides a short getaway from town life of busy Thimphu. Located at secluded place behind Thimphu Dzong, you can have moments closer with nature.

Grand Royal gift to the people, the park is located on a beautiful patch of land by the river across the historic Trashichozong.

It is a beautiful garden and best place for peaceful evenings. It is constructed so creatively that they have utilized the mountain terrain and small water stream along with Bhutanese architecture.

Nearest to my location and dearest for my niece. She love it when we visit these garden. She would insist me to carry a loaf of bread so we can feed fishes there in the pond. Very beautiful place with open space and facilities where families can gather for birthday celebrations or just a casual meet up.
