First time visited the Surat zoo with my family and kids .. really enjoyed this place.. main attraction of the zoo is panther.. tiger .. lion.. bear.. hippopotamus.. ostrich.. what I missed in this zoo is zebra, giraffe, different breeds of monkeys.. and collection of birds.. ticketing is available online only due to Covid scenarios but over all I liked this place and a good nature and surroundings. One suggestion is to maintain a little bit provide option for toy train which will give more reason for people's attraction.

It was a wonderful place to take your kids and family their, Well maintained. The entry Fees are minimal 30₹ for adults and 20 for kids. It’s a huge place, you’ll get to watch many different time of birds and animals.

When I was a kid at that time the zoo was too good and there were too many animals and birds available but right now not that much animals and birds were there.... I specially request to SMC that please change the cage of white tiger bcz it's too small for them.

They don't provide tickets on their counter rather the visitor has to book the tickets online through "Surat Municipal Corporation" app available on android play store and apple store. Their are two canteens available inside the Sarthana Nature Parj Zoo. If you are in Surat you must visit the zoo. Kids will be very excited and will gain good knowledge about animals. Sarathana Nature Park is situated at the North-East corner of Surat City, which is approachable by Surat Kamrej Road. The site is covered with an area of 81 acres with river Tapi on the north side and Surat Kamrej road is on its south side. You can easily spend 3-4 hours exploring this nature park. The place is very nice to plan a one-day picnic. The cleanliness is good, but the maintenance needs to be improved and renovation should be done. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Tickets : 30Rs for adults and 20Rs for kids

The place is awesome . Two suggestions. The Tiger is alone and has no companion. The staff mentioned he is alone since a year. Please get him company. Second suggestion. Have buggies inside for senior citizens. I had a senior citizen with me and we couldn't walk much. We saw only half of the zoo.

If you are an animal lover than you should definitely visit zoo. - Firstly you have to book tickets via online costing around 30 for an adult and 20 for children which can be done through SMC's mobile app. - The timings are 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm so make sure to plan your visit accordingly. - Now coming to Sarthana zoo thought there are less animals you will be over joyed with seeing the White Tiger, Bengal tiger and Gir lion. - You will be amazed by seeing the Shoebill and Cranes in person as how big they are. - I wish they would had more animlas like Giraffe, Rhino, snakes and Gorilla which could bring in more tourists. - Also I guess the cleanliness of the cages and their surroundings could be more improved. - In the zoo there is also butterfly park which cost seperately to visit. - There is also a canteen but do not even have tea to serve. - The electric golf car ride which cost around 50 for an adult is also closed due to covid I guess or lack of staff. - Overall its a one time visit place with family and also if you have small children at home as they would get to see animals in real .

Great place to spend time. But needs serious maintenance. Most variety of land and flying animals can be seen here. From crocodile, ostrich, hippopotamus and many others. Still many cages looked old and in desperate need of maintenance and cleaning as well. The park also had few stalls for drink and ice cream, and also a cafeteria which was way too costly the it is supposed to. A glass of sugarcane juice which normally cost 10rs outside is of 40rs inside and similar prices hikes were seen everywhere.

We went right at 10am to zoo. It was very less crowded on 26th Jan 2021. There is Lion, Tiger, Hyna, Ducks, Hippo and various types of deers. Kids loved the park plus it was very little crowded due to vivid restrictions. We enjoyed our little picnic to the zoo. There is separate section for butterfly garden, which needs separate ticket. My recommendation is buy this butterfly garden ticket only if you love watching butterflies.(about 10-15 types of butterflies). You need to book tickets online to enter.

Best zoo in this area The zoo is currently undergoing a major revamp. So quite a few animals are off-dispkay, at the moment. However, whatever parts are revamped are simply fabulous! It have lion, tiger, hepotamaus, dear, bear, crocodule ect... It is definitely worth even going to take a glimpse of the partially revamped place once, before the zoo gets a fully new look. That's because it's not the animal enclosures that are being revamped but the whole experience of a 'visit to a zoo' is getting redefined! In a couple of months, it will be on par with or better than, any wildlife park anywhere in the world.

If you are an animal lover this place is must visit for you. Zoo is very large and have different species of animals. This is nice but can be better. There was lack of sanitation at a lot of places. The water was stinking at few places. A lot of cages are empty. However, watching the Leopard and Tiger moving was simply awesome and total worhtwhile.

Well maintained zoo that I feel recently. Love the place..... actually it's best for all animals information also on board display there so that We can add more knowledge about them for Ourselves.

It was osume , here you find deferent type of wild animals , type of birds , type of deers or bears or that was big area to walk and find all animals Thair was type of tigers (only two ) , parrots are more then 5 types , thair was entry ticket is 30 for elder person like 12-60 age and for 3- 12 age only 20 rupee per person and additional butterfly park also but you should be pay 20 rupee per person extra to visit .

Very Good nature park for awareness to people about different habitats animals from other environments. Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee zoological Garden, near sarthana jakat naka. May animal and bird available for visitors awareness. Today I visited with my little champs, Specially attraction of day... "Lioness with three little Cub... Simba" Other Ice-tiger, Tigers, leopards, Hyna, fox, Bears, Deers, etc also give excitement to us.

park had lost its charm because of improper maintenance park also have huge empty land site but there is no proper use lots of basic maintenance upgrade needed otherwise park lost its name and remaining fame also hope municipal Corp. take some good action and upgrade the park with wild life animals and infrastructure

Nice place to visit with kids n family, you can spend 1 to 2 hours easily , no other place in surat to see wildlife

It's better for family with children.Good forest ambiance.lots of different trees and plants there other than animals.Minimum 2 hrs required to complete a round.Inside packed food and beverages are selling more price than MRP, However there is no restriction for outside food.

I visited this zoo on 13th October 2022 with my mom and had very high expectations but the condition of most of the animals here is very poor and many looked like underfed and the zoo is not maintained at all. Many animals looked weak and very thin especially the deers. Cleanliness is ok in the zoo but few enclosures were empty with no animals. Water there was stinking. Entry fee is ok at 30/- for adults. Nature park & Zoo., Good place for children but it needs to take care a little more as lots of garbage at the exit, and there is a vendor of non healthy food, Everything else is fine. It's not like as of the decade before, lots of animals are reduced and the majority are in 2 to 4 pieces, Just give a look of a sample for each.

Whole the park view is beautiful. Animals care is good too, Well maintained Zoo. Canteen also available inside the park. And please arrange buggies or ride anything for elders. They can't walk too much. So it's beneficial for them.
