this hotel is such a disappointment (and disaster). here’s why: 1. they don’t answer our call. ever. before our stay. 2. they welcomed us with a VERY LOUD people chatting in their bar lounge AT THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT when we were just arrived from our long trip. 3. their room is dirty. there were still some crumbles AND HAIR from previous guest. this also happened when we asked for a cleaning service. 4. they did not prepare our extra beds prior our stay so we have to wait for abt 20mins. 5. their staffs don’t greet us, when we entered the buildimg, when we have our breakfast. they don’t even SMILE. omg what’s so hard abt it. 6. we asked for another mat because the water leaked, but they never delivered it to us until we checked out. 7. their room is smelly. 8. our card didn’t work at our second night stay. so we have to go downstairs to reset it. 9. if you parked your car at B2, the smell was…… hell 10. bonus. the room WAS A MESS. look at the photos.

Nice affordable hotel in Yogyakarta. I stayed overnight at Room 811, spacious and nicely carpeted. However, the air conditioning not working properly and pillows really weird to my liking. I ended up with neck pain in the morning

What an unforgettable experience. I do love this place very much. This is incredibly amazing, beautiful, and comfortable. The parking area is very wide and the staffs are friendly too. I felt amazed when I saw the view outside from the window in the nighth. It was gorgeous. I hope one day I can come here again. Everybody can find this place easily too. The room's design is good and nice, but the bathroom design is not that good and small compared to other 5 star hotel. Also, the facility is not that clean. I personally think it deserved a 4 star only.

first of all, i honestly don’t know how this hotel got a 5 star rating. everything here is so old, stained, and dirty. how did they not manage to renovate everything during the pandemic break? the room and the bathroom smells bad. there were bugs on my curtain. this hotel does NOT deserve a 5 star rating. at most this hotel is 3 stars. and the shower was so messy. the water went to every directions which made the bathroom so wet. the only good part of this hotel was the staffs. they were friendly and helpful. other than that, i did not have a pleasant stay at this hotel and i do not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Sorry, but 4 us, this doesn't close 2 5 stars hotel. Room cleanliness, extra bed last minute preparation, dirty AC supply & return air grilles, smelly curtains really need more attention. Interior & furniture need renovation & replacement, due to ages. Customer service is good, but need extra paying attention 2 standard health procedures when serving food to guest inside the room. Overall, though location is an advantage, however need extra effort 2 make guests willing 2 do repeat the visit.

What a pleasant time to stay in this hotel! The room is really wide and well-decorated, though the bathroom is a little bit musty. I stayed in 2 different rooms, deluxe and premiere room. Aside from the room's space, the deluxe room is cheaper but has better decoration (more modern) and larger bed than the premiere one. The breakfast buffet's taste is so so, but has so many varieties of food. The staffs also really humble. Overall, i would love to stay here when i visited Jogja again in the future. As one of the highest star hotel in Jogja, Jambuluwuk hotel offers a great service, facilities and convenient location. The breakfast selection was varied and delicious which allowed us to taste the local cuisine as well international dish. One of the flaw if I could pointed out was there were signs/marks of cigarette burns on the table and curtain which tainted its status of one of the highest star hotel in Jogjakarta. However, the flaw was made up with the great service and hospitality offered by all of the staffs in the hotel.

The rooms are not soundproof, stayed here for 2 nights and it was impossible to rest! The walls are thin, you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallway and next room. Very frustrating. The room was smelly when we first got in. The room is too dark. Old furnitures. Stained bathtub. Location was okay, not too far from the main attraction areas but not too close either. Staff were nice and helpful. Nice gym and sauna. Breakfast was ok. Overall I will not come back. Not worth the price unless you’re coming with children and need a playground.

Not a good experience here. Who charges 6 euros per night for an extra blanket?! The gym is literally a scenery of The Last of Us. Staff does not know anything and is not willing to help with simple questions. Location is good tho.

Nice service. Humble staffs. We booked superior rooms for 1-night via website, asked for connected rooms and they gave it. We got rooms which some of its doors and mebels need to be renewed. Good variation of breakfast menu, but I think the chefs should check the taste of some menu. Another good thing of this hotel: The "Malioboro" on its name is not a lie; it's walkability (although you need 10-15 minutes to go there).

The staff here are all amazing, so friendly, helpful and kind! We even got a packed breakfast when we had to leave super early for our flight. Great pool area, good rooms, good location, super varied and good quality breakfast!

My stay from the moment I entered the hotel was outstanding. All staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Front Office Staff Semby, Anggita and Heru were extremely efficient and professional in their work ethic. The breakfast menu was a highlight. It was constantly changing and always tasty. Ina was a very effective and helpful staff member in the restaurant. However all staff were wonderful. Rooms were cleaned to extremely high standard. The pool and Kid's Club area were great places for the children to be entertained. OveralI I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a fantastic stay in Yogjakarta. Thanks everyone.

I have mixed feelings about my experience. While the hotel's location was excellent, offering convenient access to various attractions and amenities, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. There was a noticeable amount of dust under the sides table, which indicated that thorough cleaning had been neglected. Additionally, the sink in the toilet was stuck, making it difficult to use properly. I promptly brought these issues to the attention of the hotel staff, hoping for a swift resolution. Another point to note is that the room lacked proper soundproofing. It allowed external noises to filter in, which occasionally disrupted my peace and quiet. Despite the cleanliness shortcomings and the unaddressed maintenance issues, I must emphasize that my overall stay was decent. The room itself was otherwise comfortable, with adequate amenities and a pleasant ambiance.

Staff, despite a large number of trainees were all very good. The breakfast was absolutely 5 star! Unfortunately the rooms feel a little tired and not of 5 star standard. A little bit of attention and they could be great. A big issue was the amount of work taking place around the pool and something the hotel should have notified us about about in advance. If you are planning to use the pool, I’d recommend checking that works have been completed to avoid dust and excessive noise. With all the works it is a shame that the swim up bar is not in operation, nor does any staff member come to the pool area to take orders

I went there twice accompanying my students competing in a spelling bee contest. The service was excellent. As it was packed with participants and their parents and no more chair to sit, they took out and arrange some more chairs for us to sit.

Good location and a very nice big bed in the room. Only one remark: what have a big swimming pool, but only 4 sunbeds? That’s not enough.

A good place to stay in Yogyakarta. Good ambience and the location is near Malioboro. Some of the rooms are old tho. But the room I stayed is good, clean and bright.

In the first night I took the Deluxe Double room, the bed is super huge, there's all necessary furniture like a table, chair, clothes hanger, mini-fridge, and the place to put your suitcase. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. What I didn't like was that the bathroom was too small, but it still had all necessary bathroom equipment. The second night I took the Deluxe Premier, the bed is big (not as big as deluxe double), all necessary furniture available. The room is way more spacious, clean, comfortable, and you get a wider view of Jogja city. The bathroom had a bathtub and all necessary equipment. There's a small sofa and a long table available, lots of space to relax. The hotel has a swimming pool, small restaurant, small kid's playground, gym, meeting room, and other facilities that are commonly found in a hotel.

nice stay even first they give us the smoking room (terrible smells), but the fruitful staff located us to another room. minus - we ordered double bed, but the give us twin bed instead, even the put it together, there was uneven spot in the middle. - the cleanliness could be better, I realized this an old hotel, but dirty kettle is intolerable. The hallway and stair to parking lots at basement also smells bad and dirty. plus - spacious room - super friendly staff, we are looking for staple food (uncommon food) and they recommended some places. - located near Malioboro, so it's nice to have evening walk without stuck in Malioboro's traffic

When we enter the hotel the security help put our luggage on the luggage trolley. Due to we come early, we decided to take lunch @ hotel restaurant. But went we finish and get our room our luggage was on the floor. The hotel may look nice and room is good but there is no one to help with the luggage. That why I give 3 for not caring enough to give a pleasant welcome for 1st timer to the hotel. And where is the welcome drink which was advertise on Agoda website?

This is a 5 star hotel but very cheap. The location is not on the main Malioboro street. We have to go by car to go to the iconic Jogjakarta street (malioboro). Entering the lobby we can see traditional musical instruments (gamelan) and welcome drinks. Deluxe room had a very big bed and when I woke up in the morning I thought it was in the grand mercure hotel.. hahahaa The rooms were very clean and we had carpet around the bed until the window. What are the facilities on the Lobby floor? 1. Lobby for administration room of course 2. Restaurant 3. Sitting area for guests 4. Swimming pool 5. Children's playground + literacy room 6. toilet

Have largely room with capacity of 1-4 person you can order the extrabed too. Have a nice pool near with kids playroom and restaurant. The restaurant have several menu, javanese food until western food. But the parking area it's too small

A week meeting in Java 2 ballroom, nice and clean place for meeting and also for vacation with family.. There are playground also beside of restourant at geound floor, good to bring kids here. Kind person of staff

Need improvement on the service, I booked 4 rooms for four night with childrens.. there are some inputs for service improvement. 1. Add more daily staff for breakfast time especially on weekends. You guys can monitor the occupancy so you will know the load you are going to face for serving breakfast time. We waited quite long to have breakfast for 9 people, and the quing system should be more better (no waiting bay, because the chair provided to wait was also full, people are going in not based on the quing number) I also see another guest complain about this. 2.you need to find a solution for breakfast time (especially on weekends) regarding the resto coverage are, the table provided and the guest staying is not equivalent 3. We parents can't switch table to the outdoor space near the pool to watch their kids swim.(the condition of the table was empty) The staff argument was because the table is only for breakfast. (We are still having breakfast also)........ 4.still on the breakfast time. I order a sunny egg, the cook told me to wait in the table and they promised to bring it to my table. 10 mins going i decided to went back to the egg stall and see the cook giving the egg to someone that has just come. " I ask them where's my egg? " the cooker told me, " we r sorry, I forgot your order " I am asuming that the cooker told me to wait just to get rid of me. 5. I think there was a quick maintance on the plumbing, because when I first turn on the water the color was a bit brownish. But after 3 minutes it was clear again (pre info to the guest will be nice rather than a surprise) I am a tourism guy myself, thats why I'm giving this input for your improvement and make jogja a great destination again. Please evaluate this new normal era and anuall brief on the staff on how to communicate with guest logically without having them to wonder again... Hopping my 3 nights stay left will be better

I was tempted to give only 3 stars to this review, but since i got a promo prices i'll give a 4 stars. This hotel was establish since 2011, hmm sadly i got bad rooms: -spoiled boiling kettle -fussy door lock -weird towel smell -blinking lights at breakfast area -tropical pool is under maintenance But.. so far, they got a 2 floor parking area, good internet cons which is suitable for online meeting during this pandemic Era, Spa, safecase, etc

I stayed for 5 nights here. The room was quite nice and they had upgraded me for free. However, the bathroom was quite basic and not very clean. The hotel staff were nice and friendly, especially the concierge Heru who helped me arrange transport to visit the temples. The food at the restaurant was very tasty.

Nice hotel located at arms length of the city center (Malioboro). Service is exceptional, they went out of their way to help us in all matters, and you wont be disappointed by their breakfast. Great choice of base for Yogyakarta

This hotel does not deserve a 5 star. Please reevaluate your ratings. The basement parking is so small. The check in process is ok, but the reception staff was not accommodating. The room style is so old and dark, there's not enough light. The carpets traps dust and allergens, not recommended for families with little children. Worst of all is the bathroom, the water is dark colored, and there're visible molds, and dark spots on the bathtub. The towel frayed and spotty. The AC is not cold at all... Luckily the housekeeping and the engineering are excellent. They responded fast to fix it. Overall, not worth the price paid.

It's one of kids friendly hotel in Jogja. They have kid's playground near the pool & restaurant. The staff: friendly & helpful The price: worth it The location: very convenient. It's near Malioboro so you won't be bored. The room: it's spacious and the one I really like is the BIG BED! I think it's a King or super king?! I always used a baby box for my toddler so she could sleep well there and it's free of charge to asked the room service. The parking lot: is in the basement and not so spacious but it's enough I guess not to difficult to park/narrow. The bfast food: well I got the milk expired and asked the staff to check that one out. But sadly my son already drunk it. And yeah they apologize and get a new one. Please be very careful of foods you are serving! You could do better! I like the decorations they have and the relaxing nature-like they put on the lobby such as the garden, the waterfall on the pool and the greeneries. On the lobby they served welcome drink which is sweet ice tea for you who is waiting the receptionist or the luggage loading into/out from hotel. Btw they are CHSE Certified! Keep up the good work!

This hotel have a quite spacious room compare to the other within the same price range, the room is clean and the bathroom is somewhat clean and also have a bathtub. Regarding the facilities they provide is quite a lot, such as kiddy play room (even though its very small and practically not interesting at all, but its there, and they also have a GYM that i would say have a very nice view to the pool but to bad it looks very old and you can really see NO ONE IS TAKING CARE OF IT since i can see the sweat stain on one of the equipment that hasn't been clean in the last 3 days that i stayed there !!! , The flooring and mirror also you can see in the picture looks very old and unattended and if you want to ask for towel YOU HAVE TO ASK AT THE RECEPTION ??!?!?! LOL . . . THE POOL : The No No for me is that it has MURKY WATER and a lots of leaf on top you can see on my pic and as long as i stayed there for 4 days NOT ONCE I SAY ANYONE CLEAN THE POOL, and also for the Towel GO TO RECEPTION hahhaha, and there are no life guard, no waitress, practically YOU WILL NOT FIND ANY STAFF attending the facilities . . . If you Need anything GO TO THE RECEPTION. PS : THIS HOTEL HAVE A VERY BAD LAYOUT AND I REALLY THINK THEY DONT HAVE ANY PLANING IN BUILDING AND PLACING THE FACILITIES, because to go to the pool there are 2 ways which both will pass the main reception lobby or a bar (could you imagine wet and half naked and you have to pass the main lobby i really think they should do some thing about this !!!! But still the VALUE FOR MONEY staying at this hotel is pretty good, if i just visit to jogja and need a place to sleep i might go back here for the nice room and good location . . . . Great international hotel with beautiful spacious rooms and massive beds. The pool is good but no place to sit next to the pool. The service of the restaurant/bar on the other hand was not so good. Do yourself a favor and do not have diner at this place, worst we had in indonesia.

Great experience when i stay in this hotel. Quiet, warmth service staff, good location. Much of traditional Javanese ornament. Good smell in public area. After you tired walking around Jogjakarta, you can bath with relax in hotel or lying down at bathtub.
