The best batik store you'll ever find in Jogjakarta. It has plenty models from the hand made batik to printed, kids ladies as well as gents. I had a wonderful experience while looking for the batik shirt I want. This gentlemen here helped me to look for the best batik I need. Keep up the good work, Hamzah Batik!!

Lots of things you can do here, shop for souvenirs, eat, watching authentic cabaret performance, trying traditional drinks, etc. My favourite are the traditional drinks, you can get very fresh beras kencur or kunir asam at the first floor just for 3000IDR

Love this place! I think it's a very interesting store. They sell pretty much everything you can think of. Clothes, food, drinks, incense, perfume, house decoration, dining utensils. It also feels very Java-ish. The surroundings, the little history written on the corner. I also appreciate the friendliness of the staff. Will definitely be back to this place!

All in one solution for handycraft and ethnic souvenir of Indonesia. I always love to spend hours here for window shopping or get the idea of traditional handycraft. The shop really keep traditional javanese culture as you will see all the waitress are wearing kebaya and batik. The price is not always good, but you can compare with the other shops as well.

A medium size department store that retails wide range of batik fabrics of different prints, ready to wear apparels, souvenirs and mostly wooden handicrafts. It also has a large section that sells snacks and herds/jamu (Javanese herbal drinks). Staff are friendly and helpful that make your shopping a pleasant experience. A good store to visit if you’re looking for quality products, somethings differ from the other stores that dotted on both side of Malioboro street.

Absolutely delighted to share my exceptional experience at Hamzah Batik, the zenith of top-quality Batik in Indonesia! The variety and uniqueness of the Batik here are unparalleled, depicting the true essence and richness of Indonesian culture. Every piece I observed was a masterpiece, reflecting meticulous craftsmanship and quality, making the price totally worthwhile—absolutely no regrets! The accessibility of the shop is a huge plus, and the inclusion of amenities like clean toilets and a serene surau for Muslim prayers accentuates the overall shopping experience, showcasing their thoughtfulness towards customers' needs. Furthermore, obtaining a 10% discount as a member felt like the cherry on top, making my shopping spree even more joyful! I left the shop with a smile, beautiful Batik, and the desire to return. To anyone in search of authentic, exquisite Batik, Hamzah Batik is your destination!

If you are in Yogyakarta, especially in Malioboro, this store does worth to visit! ;) Located at the end of Malioboro street, northern side of Ngejaman and Protestant church to be exact, this traditional Javanese store becomes an identity of Yogya. All Javanese-related goods, from the daily to the unique one, can be found in this store. Remember to avoid the crowds and peak season periods. Be aware with the pick pockets.

Hamzah batik, used to be called Mirota batik, I always look for souvenirs here, complete, anything special about Yogya is here. Perfect place with the sound of gamelan and the smell of flower fragrances, I also like the toilet, very Javanese.😁😁😁

Need I say more about this place? Definitely one of the most popular places for shopping in Yogyakarta. You can find anything Yogyakarta here, literally! Souvenirs, accessories, local painting, handbags, traditional and unique shoes and sandals, home goods and decoration, cafe/restaurant, popular local snacks, Batik clothing and fashion, local t-shirts, handmade anything, and so many more. Coming to the city isn't complete without paying a visit here. While the staff are friendly and attentive, the amazing room atmosphere won't let you go. There is a special smell in this place that make its visitors always in love. A unique, never-before-felt smell that is comforting. Not only that, the room is also accompanied by beautiful Java songs. Making it all traditional. Shopping here is literally a treatment for you. The prices are reasonably good, won't hurt your wallet! It's not your fault if you come back here again after your first visit. I've been a customer since years. Nothing has changed. If anything, it got better and special. After strolling arround, I ended up buying a good-looking wallet with the best quality here. I'm in love with my new wallet 😅

Souvenirs store at Malioboro Oldest and maybe the most complete store You can find wide variation of Batik and all others kind of craft as souvenir. You can spend like 2 hours here. Unfortunately during fasting month they dont do cabaret show on weekend. They have House of Raminten as restaurant as well. Need to try later.

Unique experience for me as a foreign tourist. Packed with many many products and souvenirs from Java, some are good, some are not good… I’m sure you can find something you find interesting. They have batik clothings, wood carvings, snacks and more. For reasonable handmade batik (1x2m) costs 200000-250000rp. For short sleeved shirts (child XXL) costs 85000rp.

My fav place for Batik hunting. They have a good health protocol. When we went there, it's not too crowded. It was a lil bit pricey than other store, but the quailty is worth it.

This place sells so many unique things that you can buy here as presents or souvenirs for you to bring back to your hometown if you visit Jogja as tourist or visitor. You can also ask the cashier for the shipping simply by giving your complete destination address and pay the charge. So you can have your flight without bags, then 🤩. Make sure you are not panic buying here because all things are beautiful, unique and pretty cheap (that's my own experience, tho) 🤩🤩 Love this place! 💛💛💛

If you are in this area then this is the place to find real soveneers at reasonable prices, the stuff in the mall you can get anywhere in the world. It's 4 levels with the 1st level being hand painted clothing, the 2nd crafts with occasional antiques, the 3rd a restaurant, the the 4th is an area to watch live events which occur on a stage.

First floor : They sell various kinds of batik from cheap to expensive ones Second floor : a lot of art and souvenirs Third floor : cabaret show, batik shop for kids, raminten restaurant Located at Malioboro street, one stop shopping where you can buy everything related to Jogja. One of the best tourist attraction. You can join the batik class where you can learn how to make your own batik. You can watch cabaret show on weekend, drink and buy jamu. You can also watch gamelan show in front of the shop. Very crowded during public holiday.

Three floors of Batik great place to but xxl shirts for men... A little overwhelming... Metres of Batik are on the ground floor at the back to the left... For gifts I found nice plain woven fabric coasters a set of 6 for 20k.
