My
name
is
Sara.
My
family
owns
a
deli
in
Scarsdale
New
York.
At
the
early
part
of
this
pandemic
back
in
March
Me
and
my
74
year
old
father
decided
to
make
4
large
party
trays
of
sandwiches
to
bring/
give
to
St.
Johns
Riverside
Hospital.
I
mean
come
on
everyone
who
is
working
around
the
clock
in
the
hospital
deserves
something
for
being
so
dedicated
to
the
cause.
So
my
father
and
I
loaded
up
our
deli's
delivery
truck
with
the
4
sandwich
platters.
When
we
arrived
to
the
hospital
there
is
a
entrance
in
the
back
of
the
hospital
for
deliveies.
So
I
pulled
into
the
parking
lot
and
drove
to
the
top
of
the
long
driveway.
When
we
got
to
the
top
my
father
got
out
of
the
van
with
his
mask
and
gloves
on
as
did
I.
We
opened
the
back
of
the
truck
and
each
took
one
platter
out
and
proceeded
to
walk
up
to
the
delivery
receiving
door.
A
Woman
was
out
side
in
the
back
of
the
hospital
with
her
face
shield
and
mask
on,
so
I
politely
walk
towards
her
and
asked
is
we
could
deliver
these
2
platters
to
the
staff
members
who
work
in
the
warehouse
and
also
the
people
who
are
forgotten
because
they
are
working
as
other
employees
just
not
on
the
front
line
like
a
doctor,
nurse
or
anyone
who
has
to
first
hand
take
care
of
the
covid
19
patients.
It
was
a
gesture
from
us
to
the
hospital
staff
who
are
not
always
seen
but
are
definitely
working
hard
to
make
the
hospital
countine
to
provide
service
to
the
patients.
The
ID
that
the
woman
had
on
showed
her
name
and
also
the
department
she
worked
for.
Her
name
is
Ambar
but
unfortunatly
i
could
not
really
see
what
her
last
name
was
but
she
works
for
the
Purchasing
department.
I
tried
to
make
small
talk
with
her
letting
her
know
the
reason
why
we
are
hear.
Well
let
me
tell
you
what
happens
next.
She
literally
ask
me
and
my
father
is
all
we
got
is
sandwiches.
But
wait
it
gets
better.
We
asked
is
we
could
go
up
to
the
delivery
door
to
drop
off
the
platters,
that
is
when
she
said
to
me
well
if
all
you
guys
got
is
sandwiches
we
don't
need
them
because
we
get
that
all
the
time.
She
was
the
rudest
person
I
ever
met.
And
trust
me
I
encounter
all
types
of
people
while
working
up
front
at
my
families
deli.
The
crazy
thing
is
that
she
had
a
nasty
attitude
for
no
reason,
she
does
not
have
a
drop
of
customer
service
in
her
body.
I
actually
teared
up
when
this
happened.
So
me
and
my
father
put
the
platters
back
in
the
truck
and
drove
to
the
front
to
just
give
it
to
the
security
officers
in
the
front.
This
is
my
point
to
everyone,
regardless
of
what
is
happening
there
is
no
need
for
a
hospital
employee
to
be
so
nasty,
negative
and
rude.
It
was
a
natural
thing
for
her
to
be
so
rude.
When
we
got
to
the
front
of
the
hospital
I
was
intears
and
shock
so
I
told
the
security
guard
who
was
collecting
the
platters
from
us,
what
just
happened
in
the
back
of
the
hospital,
do
you
no
that
he
knew
exactly
who
I
was
refering
to
he
also
informed
me
that
she
has
been
at
the
hospital
for
some
yeas
now
and
that
she
works
in
the
store
room.
How
is
it
that
other
people
actually
no
this
one
person
by
her
character
and
behavior.
Shame
on
St.Johns
Riverside
Hospital
for
allowing
this
kind
of
person
to
get
paid
to
be
negative
to
others.
I
was
not
going
to
even
address
this
issue
but
because
I
just
found
out
how
that
experience
affected
my
father
I
was
left
with
no
choice.
My
father
told
my
mother
about
that
encounter
and
was
crying.
He
also
told
her
to
let
him
die
at
home
when
the
time
comes
because
he
can't
see
himself
in
a
hospital
setting
where
he
will
be
treated
poorly
and
can't
defend
himself.
I
was
crushed
and
devastated.
She
has
zero
I
mean
absolutely
zero
people
skills.
The
security
guard
stated
to
me
that
he
worked
there
over
20
years.
The
security
guard
actually
knows
this
woman
from
the
way
she
communicates
with
people.
I
just
don't
get
it.
