Lovely hotel with pleasant courtyard. Restaurant and service is excellent. Strong wifi and hot water. Free parking infront of the hotel watched over by security. Not the most convenient area for us, but great value for the price.

I was here for two days , reception man was very kind and friendly assisted me with everything i needed , this hotel is good for the price and thier meal from breakfast to dinner was very tasteful , 5 star

Staff very accomindating and friendly but make sure you have an adapter for the round power outlets if you are using a 3 prong cord. Can't charge my phone or computer.

Rooms are quite bad, especially for the used price, the restaurant is also below average, but the staff atitude compensates alot.

Locating Detente Hotel using Google Map wasn't hard at all. It's probably because of its proximity to a major road. Right from the gate, the hospitality and professionalism of the security man and receptionist was so amazing, they helped me communicate with the driver who barely understood English. Getting a room and settling into the hotel wasn't hectic at all... All thanks to the receptionist. He helped me provide an adaptor I could use to charge up my gadgets because I use a different point of connection. In fact, he was open to chatting on Whatsapp, which made communication pretty effective. The environment is so conducive, and convenient for short and long stay. They have varieties of meal. I'd advise you to try out their local dishes. I enjoyed them, most especially Attieke. The rooms are well equipped with good power supply to power appliances. The restroom is very clean and their bathroom has hot and cold water option, with clean white towels to use to clean up. My overall experience there was amazing and interesting. I connected so well with the workers, most especially the receptionist, so it was worth it. If I ever come back to Abidjan for anything, Detente Hotel will be a perfect accommodation option!

First Issue is lighting in room are so dim. Upon asking no action taken. Secondly AC water was keep dripping. A person come to check but still like a water pool. Wifi keeps dropping. On a good note Breakfast and food is really tasty. I like the way they offer fresh juice and coffee. Not kids friendly though. Nothing much for kids. Staff is very polite. Specifically receptionist.

This is a boutique hotel located in the Yopougon community. There is on site security. The hotel is a bit far away from the city center and any tourist destinations. That being said, the staff were friendly and very helpful with information and assistance. The rooms were spacious with air conditioning and French cable TV. Good water pressure. There is a small restaurant in the courtyard that primarily serves local cuisine.

Stayed here about a year ago. This is where I experienced true west African hospitality. My flight delayed by almost 9 hours but on arrival the hotel staff was still waiting for me... with a pleasant smile. Wilfred at the reception was just exceptional. He had solutions to all my challenges and he always had a smaile on his face. To my advantage, most staff members could speak English which made communication easy. The restaurant serves excellent food. Please give it a try. Thank you for making my stay pleasant, memorable and fulfilling.

Detente hotel is worth reviewing for. All staff are very accommodating and helpful. Very Clean rooms and toilet. We have a driver Stephan who drives us around when we need to (separate and cheap payment) who is connected with the hotel and very friendly.

I stayed here for about 10 days over two trips in March 2015. The staff are amazing: friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. The neighborhood is not the best: people in my office raised their eyebrows when I mentioned the district. However, I never felt unsafe, particularly as the hotel has its own security staff. I'd highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a great value and a comfortable stay in a boutique hotel.
