'Historic but unfortunately closed for Canada 150. Won't reopen until 2019/20' (well, that's what I wrote back in 2017 and now an update...) surprise, it's not yet done as of 2019! It's now the butt of jokes from islanders as well as the performers at the adjacent confederation centre for the arts. Let's hope it's all done for Canada 175!

Still closed down for repairs, scaffolding and metal fencing everywhere. Not much to see here for tourists except for a few monuments until renovations are done..

I was speaking with someone who has lived here for 40 years, and they said that it has been shutdown while undergoing restorative construction since 2015. They also said that the budget started at $10 million and has gone up to $90 million (and counting). Our tax dollars hard at work! I would really love to know who is profiting from this contract, and why there is no accountability for the project timeline or financials. It is a living metaphor of Canadian politics then and now.

The history and grand architecture is remarkable! Being apart of the team tasked with preserving and renovating this building has been a fortunate opportunity!

Closed for repairs and renovations while we were there. A virtual tour booth was available for tourist for free. Local actors in period costume perform historical reenactments in park outside of Province House to mitigate disappointment of tourists who wanted to see historical site.

Outside it looks like it has potential. This year was our second time in the last 4 years we went to Charlottetown to visit this National Historic Monument. We bought a National Parks Pass with the specific intent to visit this location. SO disappointed that it was closed, again. Maybe one day we will get to see it and I can update my rating more positively.

A bit of a disappointment as the actual building is still being worked on, fortunately the museum next door has a very good exhibit on Confederation

It's nice to know that the place has the highest gaps between high tide and low tide.

Under renovations so the perimeter is all boarded up. Very limited views but great importance in Canada’s history.
