It is a cosy museum. The expositions are well spread, but it lacks something. I might have missed the guided tour option if it exists, but it is the kind of museum where you can see and appreciate everything in one short visit. Some small attraction, performing arts or even simply a appointed guide could really bring this place up a notch, making it more lively.

The exhibits are always changing and always so cool! Great opportunity to stimulate your brain and enjoy something new, unique and unexpected. Every time I've gone, there is always at least one multimedia display, which is so nice for those of us that are nor very "static art" focused.

This is the Confederation Centre Art Gallery, which is located inside the Confederation Centre for the Arts. You can access it through several doors. It is admission by donation. The shows are always excellent -- thoughtful and well done, combining historical and contemporary in an accessible way. The staff is great as well. Do yourself a favour and be sure to visit.

Simple, small, clean museum. Attached through tunnels to the Confederation Court Mall and the Confederation Centre for the Arts. A few featured artists and the history of tourism in PEI. Free admission but take donations.

Really enjoyed the Kent Monkman project but I'd already seen the Marlene Creates exhibit several times at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton this past year. Monkman's work outweighs that, fortunately. Small gallery, done fairly quickly. Seems to be a bit of a hidden gem that isn't used to its full advantage.

A big (and pleasant) surprise for me: really great collection if Group of 7 works. It's a pity they don't have a gift shop.

I found the volunteers here to be very helpful, and I appreciate the work that the artists put forth for the paintings, exhibits, and so on, however it wasn't the type of art that I generally connect with.

Market
👍 Not really sure why this is labeled a farmers market as there are only about two booths with fruits or vegetables. As an artisan market though this is splendid. Lots of space, great atmosphere, vendors are all super friendly. Lots of crafts and food to enjoy.

Historical place
👍 Historic battery placement set up in 1805; the entry is open and free. There's a small hill with stairs to get up, several cannons, memorials, and plaques. There is a small fence around the hill.
