If you’re not from PEI then you wanna make sure you ask a local about the timing and days of the market which can be very different than other provinces. Around the farmer's market, the lakeside restaurants are built on the floating area which can feel it when you will enter it. There are lobster tours which run only at specific timings so be mindful about visiting the websites online or asking a local for more info.

Get a pint or two of fresh blueberries to munch as you stroll through the market! Nice selection of eclectic local items such as foods, jewelry, artistic creations, etc.

I enjoyed walking between all the kiosk. A great variety of arts and crafts. Only a few kiosk offers fruits and veggies... So the name Farmers Market, for me, it means more vendors of fresh produce.

There is a decent variety of vendors and some very beautiful "crafts" (wood work, painting, hand made pottery, food vendors, farm, etc). I only rated 3 stars as I was expecting a lot more from visiting so many other outdoor markets throughout Canada. Honestly, I really enjoyed the indoor farmers market on Saturdays! I would still recommend visiting the Downtown Market as part of your PEI experience - especially if you are new to the area.

I can’t fathom how the word “Farmer’s” got inserted in this craft market’s name! I went and parking was nearly impossible. I ended up walking many blocks in hope of getting some eggs, maybe old fashioned homemade bread and produce. Instead this was a very pricey two blocks of cutesy crafts and Kombuncha. Fine for tourists looking for well crafted souvenir’s but nothing farmy at all🤬

So many booths of all different varieties, everything from hand carved spoons to handmade mugs, to fruits and veggies. Its one of my favorite places to be on a Sunday thats for sure!

Mainly Hand crafted art, good variety. If you want to eat is mainly the restaurant around it not much in the market. I love the live music and the surrounding

Great place to wander with a fantastic view down the street. Great options - fresh food and produce, art, crafts. Love meeting the artists and crafts-folk direct.

It was nice , but not what we where expecting . Decided to have lunch at a Pub and get back on the road to a better location for visiting and taking in local history and views .

Nice range of local artist and craft goods, a few baked goods and preserves, and a few small produce stands selling local in season greens and veggies.
