We went in to take advantage of the $1 oysters on the half shell (you do have to purchase a beverage to get that price). Well, the oysters were excellent!! So fresh and delicious. We then decided to try the seafood chowder - it was absolutely perfect - so rich and creamy, and full of seafood. Of course, being a pub they have a very nice selection of local craft beers to enjoy with the outstanding food.

The best place to get loads of oysters cheap. Chowder and sweet potato fries were really good. The atmosphere at the bar is also very nice and makes you feel like you’re in Ireland.

Great and reasonably priced pub with friendly staff. We enjoyed a couple of the staff recipe cocktails and oysters. It was a good choice - everything was very fresh and delicious! A quick note that the second floor patio is close to a couple of kitchen vents from adjacent restaurants. It was a bit smokey for a few moments during our lunchtime visit so when we get a chance to return we'll use the inside seating.

Good service. Seafood chowder is good. Sticky date pudding was amazing but the caramel sauce is too overpowering.

It was highly-rated and praised, so we made our choice comfortably - thinking we would have quality food that’s affordable. Alas, the oysters served were extremely dirty and badly presented. The oysters were laid on top of one another, causing the oysters below to be contaminated with the shell remnants of the oysters above them. Mignonette was promised alongside the lemons and cocktail sauce, but unfortunately none was served. Many of the oysters weren’t even properly removed from their base (the adductor muscle). The oysters had SO much debris inside it was VERY obvious that they didn’t even bother purging them (soaking them for 10 mins in ice cold water so they can spit out the dirt from within). It was a filthy and grainy experience that truly took away from our love for oysters. BUT THAT IS NOT ALL! The chowder. Oh my god. We ordered the chowder right after the oysters, and I was in complete shock at the state that it arrived in. I’ll insert a video below. The CONSISTENCY was HORRID. It was far from creamy. I am very, very rarely offended, and I felt personally insulted that the chef actually looked at these bowls and thought this was good enough to send out. Where are the standards?! It was bland, the seafood inside were severely overcooked, and it was the consistency of broth. After voicing our dislike for the chowders, they still charged us for them even though we didn’t even have a second bite! I’m absolutely mind blown. 🤯 We tipped the servers and didn’t take away from anyone’s hard work, but we didn’t feel equally appreciated as customers. It was our first ever meal arriving in PEI, and what a disappointing experience it was. We stormed out, bellies hungry and our pockets significantly emptier, searching for another place to have dinner for the night after our long road trip there.

Very good food with great portion sizes, friendly staff. I had the fish tacos while my wife had the haddock herb crusted fish and both were really good and filling. The only issue we had was that they had forgotten my 9 year old niece's order and she had only received it after they were made aware of the forgotten order. Luckily we had ordered a side of onion rings to help fend off her hunger. She did end up receiving it after I had finished my tacos. When she did receive it was the incorrect order but on the bright side she learned how to pick out the bits of food she didn't like herself so that was a win. I would chalk this up to the place being super busy as the floor staff were moving at a near jogging pace the whole time, and with so much going on issues can arise. In the end we're all human and mistakes happen but we still left very full and happy. Would normal have it a 5 but due to the missed order, followed by an incorrect order I could only give it a 4. Don't let my experience deter you, this is a very good pub and I'll come back again in the future.

A delightful stop for lunch. Live music and a great Irish pub atmosphere. The steak and shepherds pie was excellent. In fact, all 6 of us thought the food was good. The only down side was the service was a tad slow. But still a great find.

Olde Dublin Pub in Charlottetown is the epitome of an authentic East Coast pub, where you can effortlessly raise your glass and share hearty laughs with both friends and strangers alike. During the recent visit, I had the pleasure of experiencing the warm, inviting atmosphere and a night filled with live music from the talented Lawrence Maxwell. As I settled in, it became apparent that Olde Dublin Pub offers a delightful range of traditional pub fare. I couldn't resist ordering the generously sized crab cakes, which were a perfect blend of flavors and textures - a definite highlight of the evening. Whether you prefer a pint of the finest brew or a meticulously crafted cocktail, there's something for everyone to savour. One aspect that truly sets Olde Dublin Pub apart is their friendly and attentive service. The staff's warm demeanor and willingness to make recommendations only added to the overall experience. However, it's worth noting that Olde Dublin Pub does have stairs to access the seating areas, so it's essential to drink responsibly and be mindful of your own comfort and safety. The Olde Dublin Pub in Charlottetown is a haven of authenticity, offering a delightful blend of live music, traditional pub fare, and a wide variety of beverages. We visited this plan hoping for a better experience. We did make a reservation and it is advised that you do during peak tourist times. We came here during oyster happy hour. With the price likely reflecting the quality. The muscle which oysters possess to attach to their shells was still intact and essentially all of our oysters also contained a graininess to them. Our beers were mediocre, could have been served much colder.

Was so good we started and ended our trip here! A must when on the island and budget friendly! Best fish and chips in a restaurant! They even have live music!

The mussels we had here were out of sight good. We come from North Carolina and have them quite regularly. They are usually a bit gritty and have a bland taste. These were great. The service was good and the building has several rooms on several floors to enjoy your meal. They also have some decent local beers.

For me, this was an A-OK experience, 3 star. We went to the pub looking for music. The band was a great pub band playing older country rock standards and the like. Enjoyed them. Patrons were generally extremely drunk so some interesting people watching opps. Service was cheerful but slow. Food options were limited and the item we ordered, nachos, were uninspired with tomato, lettuce and cheese. Beer was A-OK as well.

Our server was absolutely exceptional - 6 stars exceptional - but I didn't catch his name. He was a big guy and sure knew his stuff. Food was excellent. Found it a tad noisy but it is a pub after all so to be expected. Sadly, the pub is up several sets of steep stairs and difficult, or could be impossible, if you have any mobility issues, as we were told no elevator. Surprised me as it excludes a whole segment of the population. Not inclusive and wondered if it is even legal these days?

Margaritas were awesome! They need gluten free pasta and should work on making the steak and scallops look more appetizing. Server was excellent. Would go again.

The Olde Dublin Pub is an absolute gem of a place. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that's steeped in history and tradition. The decor is classic and timeless, with wooden beams, exposed brick, and vintage Irish memorabilia adorning the walls. But the real star of the show is the food and drink. The pub offers a wide selection of Irish and local beers on tap, as well as an extensive menu of classic pub fare with a modern twist. The fish and chips are some of the best I've ever had, and the shepherd's pie is hearty and flavorful. But the real standout is the Irish stew - it's a must-try!

Waitress 'how is everything?' Me '....it's alri *Her cuts me off* 'perfect! Now if I'm going to spend 10.50$ on a lager, yes a lager! It better be cold! Mine was warm! I can understand if was a stout but not a lager! Ordered the steak and guiness pot pie and it was alright. It didn't seem much like a pot pie as there was just a pastry on top. If there was anything that amazed me, it would be the nimble acrobatics the waiters and waitresses possess. It's like they had to go through rigorous training to learn how to navigate through the endless hordes of old people who block all walkways and entrances. I watched a kid fall flat on his face. It was only funny because he was ok and everyone else thought it was funny. But again, I blame all the old people standing around and blocking all the areas at the front. Now when it came to getting my bill, it was slow. I had to sit through many songs the preformer of the night was playing and he was alright but having to listen to all the old people sing along and do the wave all together was just too much for me, I couldn't get out fast enough.

Our first night on P.E.I and we had dinner here. Wow! Food, staff, and atmosphere were amazing. They have a patio for outdoor dining. Happy hour oysters. A must try if you are in Charlottetown.

Love love this place. Absolutely delicious food, and great atmosphere. We came last summer and had to come again for the beef and Guinness pie. So incredibly delicious. And their starters are HUGE! We got the potato nachos. So good!!!
