I
have
been
a
loyal
and
regular
customer
of
this
bar
for
the
last
three
years,
but
what's
happened
recently
is
something
I
can't
forgive:
the
bar
has
employed
a
new
bar
manager
since
reopening
after
lockdown,
and
within
the
first
few
weeks
of
his
employment
the
new
bar
manager
has
contacted
at
least
two
of
the
female
regulars
and
said
inappropriate
things
and
made
us
feel
very
uncomfortable.
Me
and
another
woman
he'd
made
inappropriate
remarks
too
complained
to
the
owners
of
the
bar
and
they
did
nothing
-
they've
clearly
swept
this
under
the
carpet
and
don't
care
about
the
fact
that
one
of
their
staff
members
is
exhibiting
predatory
behaviour
and
making
loyal,
long-term
customers
feel
incredibly
uncomfortable.
Misogyny
is
rife
in
Valhalla,
and
victim-blaming
seems
to
be
the
way
they
operate.
I
am
a
professional
model,
that's
my
source
of
income
and
the
staff
at
Valhalla
know
this.
When
I
asked
the
bar
manager
if
he
was
into
amateur
photography
and
he
said
he
was,
I
invited
him
to
a
photography
event
that
I
had
organised.
Despite
explaining
several
times
that
this
was
a
group
event
and
there
would
be
four
other
photographers
working
with
us
that
day,
both
the
owners
and
the
bar
manager
have
somehow
interpreted
this
as
me
leading
him
on.
It's
absolutely
bizarre.
The
other
woman
told
the
owners
that
the
bar
manager
had
been
sending
her
inappropriate
messages
to
back
up
my
complaint,
but
because
she
didn't
file
her
own
separate
complaint,
they've
taken
this
to
mean
that
he
didn't
actually
do
anything
wrong,
despite
the
fact
that
she's
told
me
that
the
messages
creeped
her
out
and
she
wasn't
happy
to
receive
them.
Edit:
since
posting
this
review
my
boyfriend
has
been
contacted
by
one
of
the
owners
of
the
bar
and
by
the
manager
who
I
put
the
complaint
in
about.
I
blocked
both
owners
and
the
bar
manager
after
one
of
the
owners
shut
down
the
conversation
and
told
me
that
he
wouldn't
be
talking
about
it
anymore
when
I
asked
if
any
disciplinary
action
had
been
taken.
As
somebody
who
worked
as
a
retail
manager
for
several
years,
I
know
that
he
is
able
to
give
the
person
who
filed
the
complaint
a
simple
"yes"
or
"no"
answer,
but
he
refused,
so
I
blocked
them
because
I
wanted
nothing
more
to
do
with
them
as
I
feel
the
complaint
wasn't
taken
seriously.
I
woke
up
this
morning
to
find
my
boyfriend
on
the
phone
to
said
owner.
Not
only
is
the
owner
completely
disrespecting
my
boundaries
by
trying
to
contact
me
when
I've
made
it
very
clear
that
I
no
longer
want
to
speak
to
him,
but
he
asked
my
boyfriend
for
my
phone
number!
My
boyfriend
clearly
isn't
going
to
give
my
phone
number
out
without
my
consent,
so
he
said
he'd
ask
me
before
giving
it
out.
I
said
no.
Furthermore,
the
owner
seemed
to
be
trying
to
get
my
boyfriend
to
behave
as
some
sort
of
mediator
for
the
situation
-
my
boyfriend
is
not
involved
in
this
at
all
and
hasn't
been
at
any
point.
To
talk
about
a
complaint
that
I
made
with
somebody
who
isn't
relevant
to
the
situation
is
very
unprofessional
(especially
as
they
refused
to
talk
to
Me
about
it).
They
said
more
to
my
boyfriend
about
the
situation
than
they
were
willing
to
say
to
me,
describing
the
conversation
they'd
had
with
the
member
of
staff
in
question
and
detailing
his
reaction.
The
fact
that
I
had
to
hear
that
from
somebody
who
wasn't
part
of
this
is
ridiculous,
and
clearly
confidentiality
is
something
the
owners
don't
understand
at
all.
I
also
feel
that
trying
to
get
my
boyfriend
to
act
as
a
mediator
is
an
underhand
tactic.
The
owners
didn't
want
to
talk
to
me
about
the
situation
until
I
put
my
review
in
the
public
domain.
The
fact
that
the
bar
manager
has
also
sent
my
boyfriend
a
message
on
Facebook
(which
he
hasn't
opened)
is
bizarre
and,
I
feel,
unprofessional.
He
asked
my
boyfriend
to
help
him
understand
why
I'd
been
offended,
but
that
was
all
detailed
in
the
complaint.
He's
a
grown
man
and
should
know
what
is
appropriate
behaviour
and
what
isn't.
