Turtle Bay York Absolutely fabulous! Staff friendly, attentive & extremely efficient. Cocktails amazing 🤪 & food great too! Bottomless brunch well worth it, cannot fault at all

“ONE LOVE” simply exceptional!!! The more you visit this restaurant, the more you love it! Chefs, food, service, music, staff, and the ambiance all come together as one great experience. The food and drinks contrasted with vibrant colors and Caribbean flavors. Amazing open kitchen under the leadership of chef Cospino and chef Ashu. With a great bar and front of the house team managed by Ashley and Angelica on our visit. Every single staff member looked like they knew what to do specially with the covid regulations. I wish I can give more than five stars. Go, visit, experience and appreciate.

Quite a fun little spicy Jamaican restaurant. Really delicious foods thou some are a bit unique. The vegetarian friendly one seemed to be a tad overcooked along with the chicken. But the staff were fantastic.

Honestly picked a random restaurant tonight as who we were with had a BBQ night out earlier in the week. So went for something new to me - Caribbean. What a fantastic choice and the food gods where helping us tonight. Booked through the simple online system earlier in the day and glad we did as it was fully booked. The outside of the restaurant is welcoming and you can here the Reggae and Caribbean style music from outside which really set the mood. The lighting was perfect and we were shown to our table of 6 promptly and politely. Bryn was our server most of the night. We were left with the menus (and a kid's one with a colouring book) for about 5 minutes to choose drinks. I had a dark spiced rum with ginger beer. Lovely and refreshing with plenty of ice. I had starters of salt and spicy breaded squid. After a short wait whilst we chatted and enjoyed our drinks they arrived. 3 squid ring with a mayo sauce and a jerk sauce and a wedge if lime. Perfectly cooked with a crunchy coating and tender squid inside. Use the lime to take them to the next level. Main for myself was the Indiana Carribbean Goat curry with coconut and pea rice. Fantastic combination and was not too hot as to ruin the taste. The goat was tender and plentiful and the rice was sooo good. After the mains I was left with a pleasant tingling in my mouth. We had some cocktails on their deal after that whilst waiting choosing our ice creams. Coconut, Rum and Raisin and a Mojito sorbet. Really good, especially the sorbet. We spent nearly 2 hours in there with no pressure to finish. The cost was super value and the servers were friendly and attentive. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a change of food.

Food was slightly too spicy for my liking- was expected tho. Good range of options especially drinks. Joseph was our server and did an amazing job, he was polite and friendly the entire time.

Lucy was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. Two for one drinks, fantastic! Beach vibes and good reggae music.

Was here with my daughter and grandaughter and ordered brunch. I liked the caribbean theme of the restaurant and looking at the menu, we were spoilt for choice The staff were so approachable that it was easy to ask about anything we were not sure about and all qeries were completely answered by our very knowledgable waitress....she is a great asset to the restaurant ! It is a bright and colourful establishment which is very popular. The toilets are a wee bit of a climb up some stairs but a very clean disabled toilet is on restaurant level and so easily accessible for wheelchair users We will definately rebook here if we are ever in York again and would not hesitate to recommend visit here !

We came for bottomless brunch on Saturday afternoon and had the most amazing time! Joe and Sophia were our servers and they were absolutely wonderful! They were both super attentive, came back at the perfect time every time for our orders, and were so nice! I requested some surprise cocktails and they both were spot on every time!! Fab day at Turtle Bay! Absolutely loved it! I’m a regular specifically because of the staff - they really make your time here something memorable xx

Alex was our server, and was so great during our stay, no request was inconvenient and we felt so welcomed and looked after by all the staff. The food and drinks were also absolutely amazing. And £70 ish (£30/£40 per person) for a 2 starters, 2 mains, a side of mac and cheese, a pudding and 6 cocktails is really good value. Will definitely be returning soon with friends.

We had a delicious meal here. Our servers were Arwen and Alex and they were so lovely and attentive, we couldn't have asked for better. The food was absolutely delicious, it felt so healthy even though it was so naughty. The cocktails were gorgeous, and properly made. Plus 2 4 1 which is always a bonus!

Went on happy hour, two same drinks for £9.9. Always my go to place for cocktails! Never disappoints! No service charge if you are a party of under 4 people, otherwise 10%.

We had an amazing bottomless brunch. We upgraded to have Jerk Salmon and the drinks were lovely. Emma was a great server and was always checking to see if we need more drinks. A great afternoon

I want to kick it off with a HUGE shoutout to Zara and Alex. The compassion, kindness and assertiveness shown by these two amazing ladies was absolutely outstanding. I can’t thank Turtle Bay enough for the services and the standards they continued to show throughout my time here. I WILL RETURN because of the amazing staff here. Food was fast and superb. We didn’t have to ask for any sort of services at all!!! Zara and Alex made sure we always had a drink on our bottomless brunch. SO WORTH IT!!!! I e even tipped these 2 amazing girls because of how comfy they made us feel. We love you guys!!!! THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️

To start off, the interiors of the restaurant were great. It's their vibrant colours from the outside that let us choose this in the first place. About the food, there are a lot of options and cuisines on the menu. I could even see some fusion types. I chose a vegan brunch option and the taste was alright. But the fried prawns(which came with 'poori' were extremely oily and too salty. It was indeed disappointing. The squid was okay. I think the cocktails were the saviour. It was well made and there was an offer for two. The menu was rightly priced. Service was okay. But overall the taste could have been even better, given how appetizing the food looked, as you can see from the photos.

Georgia was the most incredible waitress! We had the bottomless brunch and had the best time! Drinks and food were as amazing as always and Georgia was the most excellent server! Super attentive and lovely! We always have the most amazing time here and today was no exception! Highly recommend!

First ever experience of a bottomless brunch for my besties birthday and we are so glad we chose turtle bay! The food was absolutely stunning, the drinks amazing and the service was 5* Sophia and Jess were so attentive making sure we got lots of drinks and were enjoying ourselves, can’t wait to come back!

Had an excellent bottomless brunch, more than worth the cost for how much food and drink you get. Sophia and Joe were great servers, coming back regularly to get us more drinks and being lovely. Had a fab time, will definitely be back!

Sophia began our service and was extremely pleasant. As Sophia took her break, Joe took over and thoroughly understood our love and need for more cocktails! He was extremely friendly and provided many Bahama Mamas. As Sophia returned, Joe had clearly spoken to her and she obviously 'understood the assignment.' We are originally from Newcastle; however, would definitely come all the York just for the friendly service. Joe and Sophia definitely deserve a raise! Xxx

Sam was the best waiter ever!! We came in (very) hungover for a bottomless brunch and he straight away was making us laugh and recommended different drinks to help us and they worked!! He made us laugh so much and was so friendly! Food and drinks were amazing as always! Sam is a legend and hope to see him on our next visit!

I thought this place had closed so I was pleasantly surprised to see it still here and open. Great relaxed and cool atmosphere with friendly service. But the main attraction is the food; absolutely outstanding. Goat Curry, with rice and peas, is proper handi and reminds me of carnival. Caribbean Chicken was fab. I'm so glad it is still open and shall visit again and again, lol 👌🏾👏🏾👍🏾

LOVED every second of the bottomless brunch. Had a very attentive waitress, so you can imagine the aftermath of the events. Great way to try out the cocktails you may not have had the chance to yet. Especially if you do not want to pay 'full price' for something you might not enjoy. The brunch menu was delish, all there food is, so definitely plenty of options for everyone.

It took 35 minutes To get 1st drink, however, we got our first drink and from then on boom! Bottomless was flowing! Server was great! Very attentive! Loved the food and drinks ware so good! Very happy with everything. They were super busy but rectified the delay, would come here again! Thank you to Sofia our server you were great!! Really made us feel like valuable customers. Would reccommend and would come here again very much value for money! Thank you.

Loved all of Turtle bay, York. Best one I've been too, brilliant food at a decent price and quick service, absolutely faultless, bar the couple flights of stairs for slightly messy toilets, but that's honestly pretty standard let's be honest

First time I have tried this place and it was fantastic, was here with my parents and grabbed myself a Jamaican style burger from the menu with some seasoned fries and added some Jamaican jerk sauce which was on the table in fact there was four different kinds altogether but they were all different and also different in heat and spices so a real mix to go with the food. Staff were very friendly and nice they handled everything great. They have a very big drinks menu as well so even just going there for cocktails is very good even if you don’t want food. Pictures will show you the menu and drinks as of December 2022 first class place 👍🏻

We were here early evening with my two children (11 and 13). It has a nice relaxed atmosphere, medium-large portions and a really interesting spicy menu. Good prices as well for central York. Would definitely go back another evening but this time without the kids. Definitely recommend the jerk half-chicken and ginger beer.

bottomless brunch is good value if you get loads of drinks, food portion on the smaller side but the roti stack was very yummy

Also to the bar staff for the amazing cocktails and the kitchen staff for the tasty food I highly recommend dropping by Turtle Bay for a great time .the vibe is chilled and so friendly dky. I can't recommend this place enough!

Very friendly and clean restaurant. Tried the unlimited cocktail and dinner for £40, it did not disappoint! Had goat for the first time and it was delicious! The staff were awesome and drinks were a plenty. Thankyou! 🥰
