Went there as part of a Scenic River Cruise tour that included lunch. The meals were excellent and portion sizes were large. Food temperature was hot too. Leak soup was delicious and hot too. Plus they brought fries/chips and salad for the table. Highly recommend this restaurant. Washrooms were clean as well.

Went here for a school trip, they were really polite and organised, offering seconds and free drinks. It was lit. Yeet, 5 stars.

It's always a great experience to go to Pacific Eiland. This time was the first time I ordered take away for Christmas Eve. There are several things that make this restaurant stand out: the quality of the ingredients, the attention to detail, the superb taste of everything, the personal service of the chef when you come to collect the food,... and of course the price is correct in my opinion. You get what you pay for and even, ... a little more.

Very nice steak, looking forward to taste the fish dishes. Attentive, very romantic place.

Lovely, friendly restaurant. Enjoyed the fire outside on a cold November night.

We booked Pacific Eiland, as it was recommended by our coach operator. We were a group of 230 UK Scouts, briefly stopping for the Last Post memorial. Well, we had a few problems - but all of our making - the staff and the restaurant were fantastic. Firstly, we were about 15mins late arriving, but this was not a problem. Next, 170 Scouts all arriving in one go for chicken and chips - all served up flawlessly and with a smile. Next, one coach was delayed by 90mins. No problem, they kept it hot, and then severed super fast so that we could still make the service. And added into all of this, one if the Scouts suffered from a medical episode from the travelling. The staff called an ambulance (so that they could describe where we were easier), and then stayed with us and assisted in interrupting with the ambulance staff. They even boxed up a meal for one of the leaders who had been running around. Than you very much for going above and beyond and assisting us, and we apologise to any other customers that where their, hoping for a quiet drink and something to eat!

My friends and I were on a battlefield tour from London and decided to venture a bit further afield in Ypres and found the restaurant Pacific Eiland (just on the outskirts of Ypres) I had the best steak ever and we had the joy of meeting the owner, Robert whereupon our alcohol consumption seemed to rise quite considerably We were very much looked after as this restaurant crazily does not see many British people because it’s a slight distance from the Menin Gate If you’re in the area please visit this restaurant, it’s really good and it’s not too expensive I thoroughly recommend😊

Very disappointing. Staff was sloppy, didn’t take the aperitif plates away before serving the main, left the menu lying around, forgot to ask if we wanted drinks with the food. We ordered eel, it was undercooked, they tried again and it was marginally better. No apologies, nothing. The table next to us ordered steak, she had to send it back because I don’t think it had been in the pan longer than 10 seconds. We’ve had better experiences here before but this was sub par.

A really lovely place. Highly recommend. Great staff and service. Dover sole was superb. Homemade Limoncello was outstanding 😋

👍👍 Update 11/03/2023: My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening and meal here for his birthday. We love Ypres and Belgium and this is definitely one of the better hostelries! A very popular bar restaurant in one of the main squares in Ypres that we've visited for just drinks, for lunch and for dinner...

👍 Hill 62 has more to see and do, including a museum and trenches, but Hill 60 was left untouched after the war an features the true landscape after the war. There is also a massive hole created by an allied bomb that was tunneled under German troops. Great site overall!

😠 Restaurant full. Just wanted a drink at the bar on a warm day after a long walk. Refused to serve us because "they only take orders at tables" although there were no tables left.. "maybe another time" said the barmaid. I don't think so.

👍 Great burger in the centre of Ypres. The view was only spoilt by the noisy fair that had set up in the grote marke, obscuring all the buildings opposite.
