In
the
competitive
grocery
business
in
this
area
Winco
is
one
of
the
lowest
price
markets.
I
come
here
on
occasion
but
it
is
not
my
primary
grocer
mainly
because
of
how
busy
it
gets
at
times.
That
is
good
for
Winco
but
not
for
me
as
I
have
to
wait
in
long
lines,
even
at
the
self
checkout
lanes.
And
one
more
peeve
is
they
do
not
take
credit
cards
and
I
do
like
to
earn
points/miles
for
the
usage
of
them.
I
understand
they
do
not
like
the
swipe
fees
that
credit
cards
charge
them
versus
the
ATM
cost
and
they
do
not
want
to
pass
it
on
to
the
customers.
But
what
year
is
this?
We
are
becoming
a
cashless
society
and
I
would
rather
swipe
or
tap
instead
of
putting
in
a
PIN
code
any
day
of
the
week.
Anyways,
I
like
the
fact
they
have
such
a
wide
selection
of
bulk
foods
and
a
full
service
meat/deli
department,
also
their
produce
department
is
quite
large
and
I
like
the
variety
of
items
they
have.
But
don't
ask
me
about
their
cut
meats
I
would
rather
go
to
Raleys
or
Bel-air
and
pay
a
little
more
for
a
higher
quality
product.
I
removed
one
star
for
the
cashiers,
though.
I
have
been
there
the
last
few
times
and
have
received
no
welcome
or
exchange
of
pleasantries
and
isn't
that
part
of
their
job?
To
greet
and
thank
the
customer
as
we
leave,
it
is
not
like
they
are
getting
a
low
wage
I
should
know
I
have
worked
in
the
grocery
business
in
the
past
and
I
was
paid
very
well
with
great
benefits.
I
know
times
have
changed
and
companies
are
asking
employees
to
contribute
to
their
health
benefits
but
this
Winco
not
Wal-Mart.
So,
I
came
here
and
bought
some
of
their
8
piece
baked
chicken
for
$6.88
and
that
is
a
bargain
price.
Not
the
absolute
best
tasting
flavor
wise
but
good
enough
for
the
price.
Update:
2/14/2022
I
just
use
the
self
checkout
now
bypassing
the
cashiers.
I
got
lucky
today
and
just
walked
up
to
the
register,
only
one
other
person
was
here
so
it
was
a
quick
pay
and
go
transaction.
Had
to
buy
the
fried
chicken
🍗
today
there
were
totally
out
of
the
baked
ones.
Oh
well.
Update:
9/11/2022
Still
using
to
self
check
to
avoid
the
non
verbal
(at
least
to
me)
cashiers.
I
had
a
problem
with
the
debit
machine
not
accepting
my
card
so
I
waited
for
the
associate
to
unlock
my
machine.
The
cashier
was
at
another
checkout
since
the
one
seemed
to
have
problems
with
the
cash
portion
of
another
self
checkout.
It
took
a
while
but
she
got
to
me
and
it
is
a
good
thing
I
had
cash
since
it
was
not
going
to
take
my
debit.
