The food is amazing. The duck is very juicy and to the point. The cabbage wrap was delicious too. It seems to be a family business, hence a bit of wait time was expected. But the owner was very friendly, we had a good time. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a chill schedule and wants some good food

Amazing place. Ran by lovely people with 10/10 food. We turned up at 8 after a long day hiking and they were happy to accommodate. Host spoke great English and had English menus for us. The Duck was so juicy and tender and the breaded chicken with mash was unreal. They were very gracious and we loved our evening there.

Hoppla is a fabulous restaurant. The service is extremely personal and professional. I believe the server was also the owner, perhaps. He took the time to explain his Hungarian wines and let us try a couple. Everything was delicious, but the highlight of the meal was the cake. It was so delicious we ordered a 2nd slice. The meal was also an excellent value. I will miss this restaurant when I leave Switzerland!

When in Interlaken, you must visit this restaurant. One of our favorite meals in all of Switzerland!! Catfish paprikash was absolutely incredible. Light but full of flavor. Everything is homemade and made with such care. Service and recommendations were perfect for us! We enjoyed every minute of our meal!

This restaurant is a bit hidden from the main street, but it's so worthy it! I ordered the duck breast and the homemade lemonade. The meat was outstanding; very well seasoned, so tender and it melts in your mouth. Staff is very friendly too.

Small, quaint restaurant, a little off of the main road but not too far. The waiter was super friendly and gave us some good tips on what to order. All the food was fresh and it was delicious. The meat was a bit on the saltier side but I think it’s the way Swiss people like their meats. Get the lemonade was delicious!- homemade with fruit fruit and bubbly! It’s not overly crowded since it’s off the main road. Don’t miss this little gem tho!

Norbert, the host/owner/waiter, was amazing. He always had recommendations whenever we asked for it, whether it be what wine to try or what dishes to eat. It was a pleasure to talk with him. My girlfriend and I had the orange fennel salad to start, then the cabbage rolls and beef goulash to share. Finally ending with the cake of the day, which was a rolled cake with mascarpone filling and raspberries. The salad was interesting and refreshing if you like fennel since it was the base of the salad, and the orange was sweet to compliment the licorice flavor. The entrees were delicious and homey in the best way possible. Dessert was great. Norbert also gave us some bread, pickles, and extra creme fraiche with the entrees and a digestif to end the meal with after the dessert. All in all, a great experience if you are looking for delicious food and great hospitality in Interlaken.

This was the best restaurant in Interlaken. Away from the busy streets, among the locals, you'll find this Hungary gem! The food was delicious, homemade and very authentic. We had the pork medallions with morel sauce and tagliatelle pasta, lamb lettuce salad and the goulash with spatzali. We ate our plates clean! The service was so fantastic, he spoke multiple languages, had great recommendations and made you feel at home. He even offered us a schnapps after the meal (as the Hungarians do) and it was a wonderful complement to the meal and overall experience!
