I’ve been to many a hotel and I must say this place is the dog friendliest place ever. They supplied us with a bowl and treats and a dog mat. The beds and pillows were most comfy and the AC was so cooling and refreshing. Staff are most friendly and accommodating and the place was very clean.

Very nice front desk staff and decent rooms. Good location in regard to transport. Close to zoo and about a 15 to 20 min walk to the center of town where all the shopping and good cafes are located.

Good hotel with good service. Overall clean with everything you need. The bathrooms in the rooms could be a little better and the air-conditioning was a little loud and not very effective. However, still very good with a good breakfast selection and a decent restaurant that you can eat at quite well. Very close to the train station and bus stop for the airport which is great.

Good hotel with nice and comfortable rooms. WIFI room - needs to be improve, very bad quality. Something that is unpleasant but not directly related to the hotel - there are many homeless people in the vicinity, because the hotel is located right in front of the SBB railway station.

I checked in late, and attended by a staff named Vincent. Thay guy is the nicest hotel front desk staff i ever met in my whole life. He deserve a pay rise! The room was so spacious, generously filled with drinks, chocolate bar, and its just 10 meters from SBB Basel. If i shall come to this hotel again, its because of Vincent. Keep up the great hotel!

Great location!! Right cross the station with many restaurants, including subway, mac cafe, starbucks, etc. The only thing I don’t like was the bad smell from the drain in the shower booth. I tried watering for a while but it didn’t work.

One of our favorite places to stay in Basel. Very convenient to Basel SBB and the complementary transit pass makes getting around the city a breeze. The interior facing rooms are very quiet and the staff is very helpful.

Nice hotel with excellent location (in front of Basel train station). Free underground parking. Clean and spacious room, nicely furnished (not too old nor too modern, classic style). Friendly staff, helpful and effcicient, both at the hotel reception and at the hotel restaurant. Special thanks to Julien (our French waiter) and David (the chief who prepared delicious mango ice cream). Our two little daughters loved the place and enjoyed asking many questions to Julien who patiently responded to all our requests. Thank you for the great time!

Highly welcoming at the reception desk. Recommend the really nice breakfast; coffee is great, fruit selection broad and the bread really delicious. Rooms big, clean and quiet, despite being so close to main central. Help with rental umbrellas, and also when I needed a place to work on the laptop after checkout. Highly recommend staying there

We had one day in Basel so we wanted a hotel that was near the station to maximize our trip. This exceeded our expectations. The front desk recognized our bleary eyed condition and found a room so we could check in early and reset before a day about town. The room is clean, quiet, and has a comfortable bed. The hotel restaurant had great wine and cheese with professional service. This is a great base for your stay in Basel!

Great location at the train station, very accommodating -let us in the room early and even upgraded us. Very nice place to spend a day in Basel and catch a train in the morning.

Had a very pleasant stay in Hotel Victoria while in Basel. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Fraser, the lovely gentleman at the front desk, gave us quiet a few things to do while we were in town. He was very knowledgeable. The only reason I gave 4-stars is that the heat in my room was very difficult to work and even once we got it up and running it was still rather cold.

Be stayed in the hotel 3/4 times for business when I come to the city and every time the staff are friendly and helpful. When I stayed in April 22 I left behind my jewellery, they kept it for me and in Jan 23 they returned my items. Fantastic service and much appreciated. I will always use this hotel when I visit the city.

The staff at breakfast never in all the days I stayed said good morning and almost chased you to give them your room number. Very cold rooms that got warm after almost 40 hours. Cleaning definitely needs improvement. Would not recommend.

Stayed for 3 nights, business. Really friendly and helpful staff, flexible, clean. The room is very good, clean, Nespresso, and soft towels.

Excellent stay in your very elegant hotel facing the stunning train station of Basel. Room facilities are very comfortable, possibility to open the window to hear the vibrant atmosphere of the area. Bed very comfy and soft with a nice bathroom vintage style. All very convenient for an exceptional experience transporting you in the old world of Agatha Christie and her fascinating stories. I would only suggest the breakfast to be served from 6am on weekdays. 6.30am is a bit too late particularly if you have to catch a train or a flight at the EuroAirport. Wifi signal was a bit weak sometimes.

It was a nice hotel and right across Basel train Station. However their windows doesn’t have sound insulation and I woke up at 05:00 am to street noise of trolleys being pulled for a good 30 mins. I didn’t get a good night sleep after a very long day. My room was on the first floor with big windows that does not have sound insulation.

Great location right at the train station so very easy to get a tram or train, or the bus to the airport. It's also just a short walk into the old town. We had a room at the back so it was very quiet; no tram/train noise. The staff at the front desk were friendly and very helpful. The bed is super comfortable with great pillows.

I spent only one night at the hotel without even the opportunity to have breakfast, however room was well equipped, comfortable bed and pillows, great position.

The hotel is nice at a central location and our dog was welcome. You can get food at the restaurant on the ground floor which is open to the public so not exclusive to the guests. The food was tasty and I'd definitely go back. The rooms were well kept and spacious. The baby bed provided could do with an upgrade to something more modern. It was clean and safe for our toddler so it's not a huge issue. Parking is a bit tight but it's under the hotel at a very central location. The only reason why it's a 4 star review is that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment when we stayed and it really looked like a construction site. I know you need to do the work but it was on the disruptive side and it sort of makes you feel like you are overpaying for the place. Maybe consider offering something extra to clients staying over during the refurbishment period.

Location opposite the train station was perfect for our needs. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Room overlooked the garden and was modern and spotless.

Great location for public transport. The staff was super friendly, but I had issues with my reservation. I don't know if I will come back. Let me explain: I reserved a singke room with a twin bed for 5 nights using my company's system Concur. When I arrived I could not login to Wifi. I checked and they made a mistake and the room was assigned to someone else. Apparently they fixed it, but theb when I was leaving my company credit card didn't go through because of "wrong pin", but I had been using it the entire week. I payed with my personal card and they gave me a receipt for 4 nights. I asked about the nigh missing and there was an extra charge to my card. They gabe me my 2 receipts and they fixed it, but it was an unpleasant situation.

Verry conveniently situated Room size are perfect and we're well accessorised with espressos machine.

We were in Basel for some sightseeing and several business meetings in both Basel and Zurich. We chose Hotel Victoria because a friend from Basel recommended it to us. It was exceptionally easy to find from the Airport, and the location overall was ideal for travel to any part of the city (or beyond). The hotel was clean, quiet (except for some construction noise during parts of the day), well-kept, and the rooms very nice. The amenities in the room were as expected, and we appreciated them being restocked each day. Being from America, not having a traditional top sheet took some getting used to, but the duvet covers on the bed were nice. In addition, it truly was two single beds side by side, not a double bed, which was a bit of an adjustment. The room remained very clean during our entire stay, and the cleaning staff never interrupted us or made unnecessary noise. Our rate included breakfast, which was exceptional. There was no variety in what was offered each day, but because there were so many options, this was never an issue - even for our week-long stay. The waitstaff was courteous and helpful, and we always felt at ease taking a leisurely breakfast and even bringing our computer and doing a bit of work while enjoying the coffee. I would absolutely stay at Hotel Victoria again, and would highly recommend it to any traveler to Basel. It was a great experience!

We had a lovely stay here at the Hotel Victoria, the staff were very professional and polite, had all the keys and Basel tickets ready and were happy to help with our various random questions. Really, really good beds, cannot fault them with comfy pillows and good matresses and duvets with all modern fittings. Really impressed and will definitely be back!

Great place, easy parking, good brasserie. Clean and comfortable room with actually (and this is special for hotels somehow) a good bed and pillows! We’ll be back!!
