Yummy, modern take on Swiss food. We went with the 4-course meal and loved the starters and main especially. We like the farm-to-table concept. Tender meat, excellent fish, and lots of veggies (which is sth that often restaurants skimp out on). The natural wines were hit and miss (we tried a lot and loved some, others less so; the more conventional wines were reliably excellent) The staff was wonderful: attentive and helpful. The live music after the meal was not for every taste but we liked listening to music we might not usually listen to and the experimental vibes even made us boogie a littke. All and all we had a really good evening!

The restaurant has a very good location among the Niederdörfli, which is nice! We sat outside, cause inside it was pretty dark. We ordered the surprise menu for 83 franks. The food was also good, the portions pretty small though. The service was friendly. To summarize, it was very expensive and for this, we didn't get enough, so to say. For example, the same glas for prosecco was used for the red wine. Or the cuttlery stayed the same and was not exchanged. In general I don't care, but if I pay 83 franks, I expect a different quality of service (and food). For drinks I would go there again, to eat not.

Wonderful lunch on the outdoor patio. We tried the beef burger, Piccanha, Cheesy Bite, and Okonomiyaki Nuggets. Everything was fresh and delicious. The local hazelnut Gelavena was a perfect finishing touch.

As I am a big fun of authentic restaurants... I will tell you in depth about my experience. The place is sort of a fusion of art, jazz, and culinary. All the products are high-quality and carefully sourced from local and sustainable farms. 26-years old head chef Michaela Frank has taken a contemporary approach to Swiss cuisine in Rank. Their signature dish, "Congee" is inspired by Michaela's mother, who is from Shanghai. The dish is never the same and constantly changes depending on the season, mood, and the products they have in the kitchen, but the basic idea is always the same. I am happy that I stumbled upon this place because for me personally it connects everything that I love and shares similar values - Jazz, art and sustainable dishes.

Delicious locally sourced foods. A small menu with meticulously crafted dishes to a fair price for producers, guests and staff alike. Invites to do a sharing experience. On weekend days with live music - also local bands or band-members. Great experience. Ill be back

i liked the vibe and would like to try many of their dishes but realized that it was becoming too loud. we were seated on the left side (where the band was going to perform) among many other couples on the tables nearby and everybody was talking loudly. but overall, the food was delicious food and the staff nice.

Very interesting restaurant! I loved the young, hip and at the same time very high class feel of the place. The menu was extremely interesting, they show you vegan and vegetarian options without leaving out the meat in case you want to have some. The drinks with local liqueurs were super interesting! Sad not to have experienced the Jazz part. But I will for sure come again. Keep it up!

Food is good but overpriced and tiny portions. Service sucks for this price level. After paying for an expensive meal, we were 'instructed' to pay another 20CHF (each) to stay for the show! This was for a group of 9 people. We refused and were shown the exit - via the back door alley! The mentality of this restaurant is that you should be grateful that they allow you to sit there. I love jazz but this place takes themselves much too seriously. Its nothing special.

Amazing atmosphere, definitely go for the music and not only dinner! 3-dishes are enough if you are not extremely hungry - try to get a table just infront of the stage.
