Good place to eat sushis, great presentation and good ambiance. For the price I would expect a better service, they seemed a bit overwhelmed.

The food has good taste and is well prepared although we had the 5-course japanese journey and not everything was really what you'd find in Japan. Also, one dish had wasabi directly in the sauce and, knowing it's not an ingredient easily tolerated by all, they should have explicitly asked if wasabi is fine. Service was good but can be improved: for example some drinks that were ordered by the group were never brought to the table and just went forgotten. The atmosphere overall is good although lamps on the ceiling kept changing intensity and the room kept changing from darker to lighter and back to darker throughout the whole dinner. Bottom line: there are a lot of "good but..." so things have some room for improvement.

It’s a really nice place with great ambience and a great selection of drinks and wine! Love the outside area, has an Italian vibe to it, with a great view of one of Zurich’s most beautiful streets. I used to come here regularly, especially in the colder months because the place is quite cozy and has a great atmosphere on the inside, too. I’ve only eaten here twice, but I can highly recommend the sushi - super fresh, great selection and high quality ingredients. The one star deduction is only due to the crowd - Unfortunately, Metropol is now attracting a bunch 16 year old Instagramers, which takes away from the vibe it used to have. Of course, you can’t turn away clients, so I’m not judging - just my opinion.

The staff struggled to find our booking despite the fact we have reserved a few days in advance. We got a lousy table that was so wobbly, we had to ask to have it stabilised or risk our drinks being spilled. It took nearly 20 mins for a coca-cola to arrive. The food was disappointing, the sushi platter was presented nicely but the rice was very overcooked, it was meh. The service was good but the overall atmosphere was of a train station waiting hall. And all this for chf200. We had an unpleasant experience and we feel so annoyed. Very very disappointed we chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary here.

Absolutely horrible service we sat at a table after two people left and been told to change the place. When it was empty and after we sat he brought the reservation symbol on the table and kicked us out. It’s our first day in Zurich and our last thanks to this treatment. Choose wisely if you’re a tourist.

Lovely but a bit too expensive place, just behind the Bürkliplatz. You have a cup of coffee, read a newspaper and enjoy. The terrace was overcrowded

Grandeur and glamor at your fingertips, this gorgeous place is magnificent, especially if you are lucky enough to sit below the arches outside. I love it for breakfast, especially the Swiss one, and at lunch the Japanese inspired menu is great value only on weekdays. The quality is great as is the service. However, on the weekends the lunch offer is not given and there is a difference in the experience when you are seated outside vs. inside for breakfast.

We came at thuesday on 8 courses dinner! That was amazing night for us and all staff help in that… Our waiter mr. Ashraf was very friendly but also very attentive and professional( also want to thank you one more time for everything). The chef coming 2 times to our table , first one to explain to my wife how he doing that taste( thanks for that) and second with the main course. And dinner … don’t know what to say , perfect, perfect, perfect… flavors, decoration, taste, wine …. Best dinner for us… that was not our first visit , but also for sure is not the last … can’t wait to see you again ….

Thanks for hosting our group! We had the Japanese taster menu - which was great. Service and booking on point - although I had to call twice to confirm the booking (this should be 1 call - no need for reminders;)) Interior is a little outdated on the dinner side, also the lights go on and off sporadically?! Worth to have a quick check/ refurb there. Service on the day was on point - quick service with good amount of time between dishes, well done there. Prices on the higher end - likely due to prime location. Though nothing in the extraordinary level for Zurich. Only mispriced item are Gin & Tonics. 22.50 for a G&T, vs 10 on a Prosecco seem to me that this drink is mispriced. Nevertheless the g&t was served strong so that’s a positive. Overall a good experience and they can handle larger groups without problems. 4.2/5, so rounded 4/5

Ordered the Salmon club sandwich. Got water from the tab. Excellent club sandwich with fresh ingredients. 2 types of salmon. One slice of smoked raw salmon and one slice of cooked salmon. Great quality and quantity. Instead of the serving it with Crips it would have been nicer with French fries. Overall nice experience. Service was very quick!

While I am not so happy with the food in the bar section, the restaurant section is really excellent and very good value for money given the central location. The 24 hours pork belly for 28 CHF is just exceptional as are the sashimi or the desserts. Wines are very reasonably priced and the service is swift and friendly.

The food was nice but service did not correspond. The waiter did not write down our order. Maybe he wanted to look fancy, however, he forgot to bring Misosoup! Furthermore, drinks came together with food and hot dishes also together with cold dishes! Never seen such a thing! Please train your stuff better! Again, food was nice.

food was excellent, atmosphere (inside and outside) was amazing, we had a great server! he was very attentive, very kind, too bad we didn’t get his name but i believe is new and is from Bavaria! i still going to rate this a 5 star even if we didn’t eat inside due to there was smoke from the cigars and we didn’t want the kids inhaling the smoke. sushi and sashimi was fresh! everything we ordered did not disappoint!

Great place with very tasty and fresh food, nice drinks, and pleasant outside space. The waiters are friendly and responsive. The prices are fair for Zurich. The corridors leading to the toilets have interesting old paintings. I will return for sure.

At 11:30pm they stopped serving us on one of the terraces, and they insisted was the "restaurant" side but kept on serving on the other. Very confusing in the end we had to leave rather than get a last drink here despite claiming to be open until midnight, I'm very disappointed as I love there food.
