Beautiful and calm atmosphere. Outside of the garden was very hot but as soon as you enter it's nice and cool with the trees giving shadow. The garden is clean and is looked after very good. You can also book the site for birthday parties or photo shootings upon request.

Small but beautiful garden. As is this writing, the cost is free. Minimal times investment: maybe 30 minutes. Of course, it’s a great place to relax and spend as much time as you like. All the grounds are perfectly manicured and all structures appeared freshly painted. Very well maintained.

Small but rather lovely. The koi are mesmerising to look at, and would keep children entertained. There’s also a lovely stretch of grass and a big playground next to this, so it is perfect for a day out with children.

Very quiet place, cheap entry and pretty exotic. Be sure to check it out when you've never been there before. It's also best to only visit if the weather's nice, since it's pretty open.

Currently renovating something thus charging no entrance fee. Beautiful Chinese garden, worth walking through. It has artsy buildings where you can sit down and look in the pond filled with cool fishes

I’m Chinese and I really like the garden! It’s well designed, full of nice details and the traditional atmosphere. I felt like in China and peaceful when I walked in it. I heard it’s a gift from the Chinese city Kunming to Zurich to thank the assistance of Zurich.

Very nice place for a small walk. It is located near the centre of Zürich, easy to be accessed. If can offer you the opportunity of a small walk and isolation from the rest of the city.

Great place to chill with a few friends to drink some beers! You're able to swim, grill and there's also a public toilet which is surprisingly clean. There are often small stalls selling ice cream if you want to cool down.

(Translated by Google) In summer one of the most relaxed, clean and well-tended meadows (although you have to say that all meadows are clean and tidy) in all of Zurich and the Asian building behind it is really beautiful. If you live in Zurich you have to have been there at least once. Well this park really ain't special. Very small - well kept although the water was dirty. I didn't enjoyed my stay there. There should be some extra things added but a huge plus that entrance is free or it was when I was there :)

I loved the China garden! It was gifted to the city of Zürich and it is very well kept. The Kois are adorable and the surrounding plants/ architecture is fun to explore. It's a must visit when going to Zürich horn since entrance is free of charge!

One of the must visit places when arriving to Zurich. The spacious lawns are very inviting for individuals and families and although the park can very crowded at times, yet it manages to keep harmony. Along the small harbors one can find secret rest areas whose steps are at the foot of the waves.

We arrived after 18:00, the entrance was free. Really kind guard welcomed us. Small but really pretty garden with a pund of koi fish. Atmosphere was really exotic. Thank you

Lovely place! The atmosphere is so nice and relaxing, an amazing place to forget about the noisy world outside. I was impressed that when you enter, the temperature change, you can clearly feel a difference from the hot temperatures outsides and the fresh and cold temperatures on the inside, even tho it’s still an open place! The water however could be cleaner and they should take care more of the fishes, because some of them are clearly injured (not really sure from what). If you’re around it’s really worth to visit! ☺️

Small, well maintained Chinese garden, featuring ponds of koi fish (which was unfortunately full of leaves as it is autumn), ornamental maples, pines, and bamboos. As well as a recreation of a lounge room. Entry was free for us, and there is a guard who tells you the rules on entry.

Very nice free activity in Zurich. The China garden is very peaceful and serene. You can go there as a part of your exploration by Zurich lake. It’s not gonna take that long and you’ll have the chance to sit and relax there.

Beautiful garden in front of the park, and lake side with a museum next by as well. It is free to get in, and it is a lovely stroll to go through. at the time of my visit, it looks like they were doing some maintenance to the structures inside as could be seen with the rolling scaffolding, and plastic coverings, but that does not deter from the remaining sections which are just as nice! I would recommend to stop by here if you are in the area! You only have time to loose if you don't enjoy it.

Excellent place to visit. These were built with solid wood and painted according to Chinese culture. Those big coloured fishes are good to see. Those green plants and trees are giving cool and fresh air when enter to the place. Here are some pictures, hope you'll enjoy it. Cons : The water where the fishes are floating are not clean

Confucianism symbols of the “Three Friends of Winter” (pine, bamboo, and plum) are at the evocative roots of the famous Zürich Seefeld Chinagarten [pronounced [ˈçiːnaː] - as in "ich”] located next to the Pavillon Le Corbusier and accessible every day 11am-7pm (Free Entry!). This wonderful silence and meditation instagrammable oasis is a 1993 gift from Zürich Chinese partner city Kunming, the capital and largest city of Yunnan, to thank Swiss efforts in the development of the Kunming city drinking water supply and drainage. The nine dragons sons are here represented as mystical sculptures dominating the hectagon pavilion and portals carved with allegoric representations of seasons and natural landscapes. Beautiful Koi Carps are filling the blissful central garden pond where the colorful “Water Palais” reflects itself in all its beauty. Absolutely a must for a relaxing break from Zürich’s city life and an enchanted place ideal for perfect photoshoots.

Really nice place to hang out and relax in the city. Sometimes it can get crowded. It's awesome in the morning and during the day when it's basically empty (except weekends/holidays). Grab a grill, some food, some drinks and swimming gear and you are good to go!

  • 3/5 Michal P. 3 years ago on Google
Neat, but there's no seating due to covid 19 and it's quite small and feels unauthentic, compared to, say, San Francisco's Japanese garden in Golden Gate park. I'll probably check it out again once the restrictions lift to see if there's tea to be had.

Less recommended to visit during wintertime. This show garden named Chinese Garden is a chinese garden on the lakeside of Zürich. It is a gift from Zürich's Chinese partner town Kunming, dedicated to the Three Friends of Winter: pine, bamboo and plum blossom. It may get a bit crowded compared to its surface. It’s advisable to check peak hours beforehand to avoid them.

  • 5/5 Mali M. 1 year ago on Google
Free to go and a beautiful little gem next to the lake. They have a takeaway food shop attached to it with simple Chinese dishes which completes it. You feel transported for a few minutes, worth the visit if you're in the area.

Very pretty. Also it is free so that is nice. It is pretty small and there’s not so much to do besides walk around for a few minutes. But again since it doesn’t cost anything it’s an okay place to spend around 20 minutes

Clean and nice looking Chinese garden. Wouldn't recommend going during winter though. As it was my first time visiting, I was a bit disappointed on its size as I read it's a large garden. But definitely worth a stop while in Zürich.

Gorgeous and amazing piece of China in Switzerland. Loved going in and marvel at the pagodas they had. Saddly when I went they had a balcony being renovated, but we can have a peek at it while being renovated.

  • 5/5 Clement A. 1 year ago on Google
I’d say it’s beautiful! You get a really good feel of China from here. It’s not as big/ spacious as seen in the pictures. We visited on a weekday so there were very few people. At the time too entrance was free but I’m sure they may/ would charge over time. You could see everything is less than 15mins even with pictures and videos. What you see the most is the Chinese style architecture and there’s a room with a painting and Chinese style seating. It’s worth a visit!

The China garden in Zürich is a tranquil oasis amid the bustling city life around it. Entering through the colorful gate, you'll feel instantly transported to ancient China. Entry is free. No wheelchair actress. Strollers are forbidden. The garden was a gift from the Chinese city of Kunming in 1994.

  • 5/5 Meryem G. 10 months ago on Google
It is a lovely small garden. Since I've seen some comments about how small it is, I was a bit skeptical in the first place, but I did enjoy my time there. The architecture is amazing, the garden is so lovely and outside of the garden was also pretty nice. If you have some time, I would recommend visiting there.

One of the most beautiful Chinese gardens. An oasis of peace and quiet and shadow in the middle of zurich city. We walked around the lake and it was hot and when we entered the garden, everything changed..Immediately get a sense of calm when inside the garden, when you see the pagoda and the chinese buildings. This is definitely something not to miss when in Zurich.

A little Slice of Chinese heaven in Zurich. Located on the lake side, giving free access to all visitors. A pretty Garden with a mini pond inside the venue gives an adorable feel to the place. You can spot in the fishes in fresh water if the weather is favourable. They also have a pantry serving authentic Chinese food at the back side with limited seating.
