It’s rare to see a tree that makes you feel humble. We’re surrounded by trees (at least for now) and we rarely give them a thought. But this mighty oak that luckily evaded being cut and transformed into furniture for at least 700 years can make you think. Yes, we can cut any tree and destroy any form of life besides cockroaches and bacteria, but a single human next to this singular tree doesn’t seem to matter much. Oak Bartek probably saw millions of humans and he will see many more when you and I - so intelligent and important - will be nothing more than a memory. If not less. I recommend visiting the oak to anyone who suffers from too much self-importance.

Very big, very old, very noble. The oldest oak (Quercus) in Poland (approx. 1000 years old). Easy access to see it. Parking on the other side of the road.

That's a biiiiig tree! Parking opposite is under construction at the moment, but the locale has plenty of room, tidy, and would be a great spot to rest while on the road.

It's nature's monument and a must see when in the area. It's over 700 years old oak tree named Bartek. Some say It's 1000 years old.

This tree has more than 750 years; despite that looks quite good, and it is the reason why worth to stop and to go for a quick walk to see it.

Monumental tree, 700 years old, you can feel the power. It will be good to add more information about history and biology.

This is the most revered tree in Poland and it is certainly well worth visiting. A small souvenir shop sells a selection of postcards, maps and tourist guides of the area
