Good things first. Location is quite nice and the view from restaurant is amazing especially at sunset. Restaurant staffs are also lovely and always smiling. To be improved. Reception needs to improve a lot. Wrong room has been assigned and couldn’t request to change. But, insisted me to change after 3 nights and told me that it is because I have requested. Never apologize and talk like customer’s mistakes. Finally, a senior one came and said sorry. Housekeeping sometimes not filling up amenities and when I asked reception, it never came or came after a long time. Internet is the worst for five star hotel. Although I don’t want a perfect service, it is not worth for 5 stars hotel.

The Park Hyatt Zanzibar is an absolute gem on this beautiful island. My wife and I spent a week there during our vacation. The luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and stunning ocean views make it a top-notch destination. Whether you’re relaxing on the beach, savoring delectable cuisine from the world class menu, or exploring the historic Stone Town nearby, this hotel offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. My wife and I had a truly memorable experience. A huge thank you to the entire staff for exceeding our expectations. We highly recommend.

One of the best 5 star hotels I have ever stayed in. 1. The rooms Spectacular is an understatement, the entry way itself is drop dead gorgeous, the detail on the wood frames and doors is out of this world. The bathroom offers a shower stall, separate from the tub that has a TV and wine tray for your bath time needs. The bedroom area....listen! I slept like a baby and was happy to wake up to a beautiful balcony ☺️ 2. Free breakfast- yo! There is a fresh coconut breakfast stand, halal breakfast options, continental breakfast, a variety of breads, including naan and chapati, salads, freshly squeezed juices, coffee, tea, baobab fruit drink and best of all, fresh fruits !!!! Lots of fresh fruit. Did I mention you can enjoy your breakfast while sitting on a wrap around veranda overlooking the blue Indian ocean 😭😭. The food at the hotel is hands down one the best I have ever had. Compliments to the chef 🙂 3. The service- people here are NICE, not because they are required to but because they are just good people, I had a blast connecting with a number of the hotel staff. Speaking some Swahili was definitely a win for me (I speak 7 languages), and being Zambian meant I was treated like family. (I love my Bantu People) I will keep adding photos and details

Exceptional five star property. Without question the best on the island of Zanzibar. Staff is warm and genuinely happy to greet you and provide assistance. The views of the Indian Ocean are stunning. Breakfast, pool service, and dinner are all fantastic. In particular the chicken biryani is special. You really can’t go wrong here. Many thanks to the staff who made this property feel like home for our stay.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly. However, the maintenance is horrendous. We stayed there four days and three nights they tried fixing our air conditioner five different times. The first two times they simply told me I didn’t know how to use it. However, as a test, I set the air conditioner on 26° and it continues to go from 22° to 20°, I don’t think it is user error. So we froze the first two nights. Each night I would wake up and turn off the air conditioner manually and then get hot and turn it back on. I had to repeat this through the night. The fifth time they tried to fix it, I believe they just shut off the cool air. It’s still blew, but it got up to 24° and was so hot and humid. It was miserable in the room. The other thermostat in the room and the thermostat in our other room worked just fine. Far from Park Hyatt service. This park Hyatt does not have a club. It seems Hyatt should have standards to Become a Park or a Grand. This place should not qualify for either. The two rooms were arranged by using points. They charged my credit card the full price of the room. I told him that it was done by points. They called the Hyatt globalist line and they said it was also done with money and not points. Strangely, the Hyatt desk deducted 69,000 for each room months ago from my account. I don’t blame Hotel for this mistake, but I am very frustrated that they still charged my card without informing me or trying to solve the issue. The Hyatt desk will work it out with Hotel. This place is ridiculous, including the management. Despite talking to the management about the air-conditioning, they did nothing. Not even an apology.

Great service. Staff here are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. Also shout out for the coconut and coconut water. Fresh and tasty! Great view to see the sea and sailing boats.

We spent two amazing days at Park Hyatt Zanzibar to visit Stone Town. The room had a beautiful view on the ocean and the staff was super welcoming! They organized for us a tour with a guide to visit Stone Town and half day trip to Prison Island to see the giant tortoises. The infinity pool was amazing especially during the sunset. Park Hyatt is the place to be when visiting Stone Town!

I have had a great time at the Patk Hyatt Zanzibar. If you want to explore Stone Town at your own pace, than I can highly recommend this hotel. Lucy from guest experience was especially helpful, thank you very much.

We stayed here on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. We considered a resort, but wanted to be able to visit the shops and Restaurants easily. The hotel is gorgeous. Every single detail was amazing, from the pool, to the courtyards, to the sitting areas, to the art in the wall. I can see why it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site. One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room itself was amazing. We stayed in an ocean view King room which was amazing. Soaker tub, stand up shower, comfortable bed, and all of the lights worked off of master panels, with one next to the bed. It was one of the nicer rooms I’ve stayed in anywhere. The food was great. Continental European breakfast, with baked good, an omelet station, fresh fruit, and cereal options. The meals were also great. Amazing butter chicken. We did not care for the burger, which was more of a meatball/meatloaf than what you think of a burger. Wouldn’t recommend that one. All of the staff was AMAZING. They would stop by the room multiple times a day asking if we needed anything. The front desk staff were also great and helped with just about anything we needed. The hotel amenities were also great. The pool was great (but somewhat small), the spa was great(we got massages), and they always made sure to have the World Cup on for guests. Only two real drawbacks. The beach in front of the hotel is very very busy with people, and can get a little loud. We could here either the restaurant music or people on the beach from our room with the doors closed (not bad at all but noticeable). It does make the pool a bit off putting because everyone on the beach stares at you. And the hot water was a little spotty. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we’ll be back!

Sits on the edge of the ocean with scenic views. It's easily one of the best hotel in Stonetown. It spots different bars and restaurants. The outdoor sitting area is therapeutic in the evenings

Beautiful property, pristinely maintained. Went with a large group for birthday drinks and all of us were clearly overcharged. Some stayed to sort it out with management because the waitstaff wouldn’t correct it. Obviously not a 5-star experience.

Speechless beauty and luxury all around this gorgeous place it’s the Park Hyatt signature in all their hotels in the world. I’ve been there for a sunset cocktail and the service was impeccable such as the courtesy of the staff and the drinks presentation as well.

We had an amazing stay in Park Hyatt in Zanzibar in March 2023. The location allowed us to do lots of exciting activities, and the food and service were excellent. Special thanks to Abdullah (concierge) and Fatima (front desk) for making our stay unforgettable!

We are just finishing a fantastic 5 night stay at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar. We are big fans of the Hyatt brand, especially Park Hyatt and Alila, and this hotel did not disappoint, in fact our expectations, although high, were met or exceeded in most every way. We arrived at 7 pm and were quickly checked in. We were offered Suite 3211 as Hyatt Globalist using a suite upgrade certificate. We were then given a quick tour of the hotel property, by Concierge Fauzi, which is in two buildings. One is the historic residence of one of the Omani sultans. The other is the main hotel and dining/bar area opened in 2015. Fauzi then accompanied us to our suite and provided some of his restaurant and activity recommendations for our stay. Our first impressions of the suite were very good. We have stayed in a number of Park Hyatt's and this property compared well with others around the world. The suite was large and consisted of wo rooms and two balconies with gorgeous views of the Indian Ocean and the beach below. We spent a lot of time watching the boats and people moving into and out of the harbor and along the beach. There is noise from the beach at certain times, especially in the evening, as the local community enjoys the beach and ocean. It was not a problem for us we always travel with a sound machine that blocks out most noise. I mention it just in case you are a light sleeper. The breakfast was really one of the best ever. Dominica, Happiness, Adventina and a whole host of other capable servers, hostesses, and food preparers met our every need. I have attached 4 pictures showing a portion of the buffet offers. I really enjoyed the sparkling wine (not the cheap stuff), the fresh cut coconuts, fresh juices, and local favorites. We also ate twice at the restaurant for dinner and, again, the food was really good and the service over the top. Especially liked the lamb biryani served in a clay bowl with a bread coating. See photo. The drink and meal prices are higher than most places nearby, but the ambiance and service are worth it. We also enjoyed the pool area on the days that were sunny. The gym was also nice. Some of the treadmills needed service and I mentioned that to the first desk staff and they said they would have someone look into that maintenance. Fauzi, Abdul, and many other concierge staff were helpful throughout our stay in booking dinner reservation and activities. We took the Stone Town walking tour, which was really good. We also took the day trip to an island on a private dhow (local wooden boat). We were hoping for more exclusivity for the boat tour since we paid quite a premium to have a private boat, but the places we could go were, for the most part, crowded with boats filled with people. I would skip that tour next time. It is not the Park Hyatt's fault, and I don't blame the concierge staff in any way, but it just wasn't for us. Overall great stay and we hope to return again sometime soon since I work on a project in Tanzania on the mainland and it is easy to get to Zanzibar.

Park Hyatt is a beautiful hotel. The facility is well-decorated and clean. The rooms are fantastic; we stayed in a double bedroom with a nice bathroom and cozy interior. Breakfast was included and diverse, catering to all tastes, though it could have offered a few more options. The service fell a little short, lacking that extra touch of well-trained personnel. Nevertheless, all staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location provides a beautiful view of the sea and sunset, with shops in Stone Town just a short walk away.

Located in stone town this hotel is perfect and has good standards. The breakfast buffet is not the largest however the food and the service have to be one of the best. The hotel shares a public beach which can get a bit busy but I would highly recommend this hotel

We stayed 2 nights in this wonderful hotel and I could gladly have stayed another week. The staff are helpful and friendly and no task is too much. We had a leaking shower and my husband mentioned this at breakfast to the manager and before we had finished our breakfast it was fixed. The hotel is centrally located so going for dinner is easy and the rooms are clean and well air conditioned! The staff are knowledgeable and eager to help without being overwhelming. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I am sure I will be back!

Absolutely recommend this hotel! The suites are extremely spacious with great amenities. Service is great and always super friendly and proactive (sometimes slow but still fine). The beach area is rather dirty so don’t go here for a beach holiday, but great location to visit stone town and relax after. The food is also good, with fresh coconuts for breakfast!

Overall, we had a great time staying at the Park Hyatt in Zanzibar. Each person we interacted with was friendly and very eager to help. We especially enjoyed the staff at breakfast, they were very attentive and nice to interact with. Our suite was very spacious with the perfect view over the ocean. One of our favorite things during breakfast was the fresh coconut and orange stand - the people running them were always extremely friendly and it made us happy to hear that they are locals that Park Hyatt partnered with. We also loved seeing the cats every day, I wish Park Hyatt could take care of them and call them the Park Hyatt kitties. It wouldn't take much time or money to set up a fresh water location and feed them daily, but it would make such a difference to their life's and, especially, guests from Europe and America love seeing kindness towards animals. Also, if you get the chance definitely book a massage. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the lady who gave me mine but it was absolutely fabulous!

I travelled solo & stayed 3 weeks. I had the most wonderful stay ever. What’s important to me was how safe I was. The staff was truly excellent. They really looked after me. They were aware I was on my own so I had staff regularly checking up on me. They also helped me organise the most amazing day trips. I went whale watching & there was an island where I saw some amazingly old tortoises. I also did an island hopping trip where we had a picnic & went to different islands. Some days I didn’t go out, I stayed by the pool or rye beach. You can access the beach directly from the poolside. The beach was lovely full of young life. In the morning I saw old people swimming. I had an ocean side view. I also loved that I had a telly in the bathroom.. I loved this hotel. My family is coming to Zanzibar this summer & they are renting a villa & im like - I’m not staying anywhere but here. I also went to ZIFF. The hotel is centrally located & very safe so I was able to walk to the film festival at night & also every night I went to the food market which was very close to the hotel. I feel really excited that I’m returning this summer. Yay!! Ps/ rooms are REALLY clean & you get chambermaids coming to see if you need anything & clean your room at least 3 times a day. 1 thing I thought could be improved was room service menu was monotonous- but this did force me to find the night market which was buzzing & the food was great.

Outstanding service and stunning property! Our suite had two private balconies facing the ocean and we loved watching the lively beach scene. The decor throughout the hotel is very elegant and the furnishings in the rooms were lovely. The best part of this Park Hyatt are its staff. Lucy at the front desk went to great trouble to get us early check-in after a long overnight flight and took care to organize our departing taxi. Haroud is a longtime valet/concierge. He is a wonderful, welcoming presence at the hotel. When we asked him for directions to a restaurant, he cheerfully walked us there and even offered to come get us afterward. But, most of all, we will miss Dominica and Happiness, who made our leisurely breakfasts so sweet and fun. They accommodated our every request and even packed up some snacks to take on a boat excursion. So nice! The breakfast buffet was awesome - I highly recommend the local curried spinach, bean, and potato dishes even though having a full curry dinner at breakfast may seem odd. My only disappointment was the changing room for the pool. Kind of dark and damp and many of the locker locks were broken.

Wonderful hotel to stay at while visiting Stone Town. Easy to get to the markets and enjoy local fare. Safe and comfortable. Beautiful views! Most friendly staff I’ve ever met! Fauzi the Guest Coordinator was outstanding. He was a tremendous help during our stay. Will go back!

Very good stay. You can always trust Park Hyatt for their great service. The only small annoying thing is that the beach is not private to the hotel, so theres a lot of fishing boat and random people on the beach. Otherwise the massage was great and the breakfast was tasty! And cats are cute. Highly recommend!

Historic hotel in the heart of Stonetown. Clean and very comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast buffet with option to eat overlooking the Ocean. Easy walking to explore the old city. We would stay here again.

Superb location and super service from all the staff. Special thanks to Happiness who serves breakfast with a smile and took great care of us everyday. She also prepares the best coffees and hot chocolate. Also to Fauzi in customer service, hats off! He goes the extra mile to make sure your activities and your stay at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar are your personal best experience throughout your entire stay! France & Yves

I stayed for two nights in Park Hyatt Zanzibar to explore the stone town. Prime location 15 mins away from Zanzibar Airport and a walking distance from the city center and the beautiful hallways of the town. The interior design is a mixture of Moroccan, Andalusian and Middle Eastern breathtaking styles that touches your soul each time you look at its details. Superior terrace fronting the beach. Spacious, inviting and clean rooms with ocean views! Great atmosphere and excellent customer care 👍🏼

Best hotel in stone town by far! Rooms are spacious and clean, with luxurious design. Dining room offers a big variety of local and western dishes. Infinity pool will be the best area to spend your afternoons and sunsets time. Spa treatments are available upon booking, gym area located by the pool, and the location is unbeatable - walking distance from restaurants, night market and shops.

It is among the best hotels in Zanzibar and the finest one in Stone Town. The building is the mixture of Old Architectural style and modern architecture.
