Easy to locate with maps, quick services too. I ordered the jollof combo(comes with 4 pieces of fried plantain, meat of choice, and a drink/bottle of water). Then I got myself their famous suya. That is the small-size in the photos attached. A serving of jollof is smaller than in other restaurants, FYI. The Suya came in large chunks of well-fried goat meat (not charcoal grilled), the slices were not like the skewer-style West African version, but they tasted good. I was expecting the marinade to be the powdered spice mix (“Yaji”, like we have in most parts of Africa) but it was a hot oily yet tasty sauce instead. I gave an extra star because food packaging was eco-friendly, and neatly packed. ♻️

Delicious! I would definitely come again and eat more! I had first heard about Suya Spot from Suresh Doss on CBC. My wife happened to be in the Morningside neighbourhood so I asked her to pick something up. Since I am a huge goat fan, I opted for the goat suya. The meat was dry, in a good way, not like beef or chicken that would taste terrible. The pieces came with assortments of bone and fat that made it all the more delicious. The serving came with a cabbage and red onion salad (no dressing) and some delightful hot sauce. My wife even enjoyed the goat which surprised me. I think it cost $10, so for me it was a little bit on the pricier side. The only downside is that my wife said she got the once-over look from the woman at the till, perhaps described/interpreted as 'what is this fancy looking white woman doing here?'; she's here to sample your delicious food and learn more about your culture!

I never had west African food a day in my life and this was my introduction. What an introduction it was, each dish was packed with flavour and various spices which was amazing!! Their suya beef was the most popular dish but I love their egusi and pounded yam and jollof rice !!! The staff was amazing and very helpful!!

Suya collection was good. Jeloff rice was salty and it not the original big grain rice. Fried plantains was great. Rice portions are big and good for two people. They say food is ready in 20 minutes but when you go there you have to wait another 20 minutes.

I'm in love with this location I go at least once a week or one every two weeks. The customer service here is delightful. I remember the first time I went in the young lady was sure to tell me about all the soups they had for the day what they would taste like so I choose accordingly to my taste buds. My only disappointment is not having the selections of soups on Skip the dish, It only has Egusi Soup. Question to the owner.. Why is that ? Will you guys in the future update the menu for skip.

Unfortunately this place just isn't what it used to be. The hit or miss taste with poor value/high prices just doesn't justify a visit here. Knocking off a star because the customer service is pretty poor as well. Cashier giving attitude, not answering questions, rude responses, and the personality of a wet towel. With that mopey attitude she should work at a funeral home.

This was my first time trying the goat suya at the Scarborough location. I give it 1 star for a few reasons. The Suya was bland, completely missed the spice and the pieces were awkwardly cut. It was a box of fried goat meat. I can not believe the amount of marks missed with this dish. I thought the Suya Spot was a franchise and it would be in the same spectacular level as the Bradstock location. Boy was I wrong 👎 and a waste of time and money.

Love all sorts of different foods I eat everything I’m not a picky eater. But I had the beef suya and it was horrible I couldn’t eat more than a bite . Taste like eating charcoal no flavour other than smoke . My burps after the one bite been haunting me . This must be an off day because I don’t know how anyone would enjoy something that taste so strong of fire/smoke . Spent 23$ to eat a bite and throw it out . I never throw out food . Edit: update on the burps . Taste of smoke and fire is almost making me sick . I love smoked meat normally idk why is is so over powering and Smokey . How it’s even possible

This restaurant was my first taste of suya and I like it! I’ve had the chicken, fish, and goat suya here and out of those I would say the goat is my number one. The flavours on the proteins are delicious but the textures for the goat and chicken can be tough to chew. For the sides the fried plantain cannot be beat! They pack a great sweetness which is well complemented by that slight char. The puff puff is awesome as well (basically sweet fritters in a ball shape). Then there’s the well seasoned jollof with a decent amount of spice 👍🏾 Overall this is a good spot to get tasty food but you need to order in advance because wait times can be rough.

Meat is always tasty and juicy ❤️ Not dry and stale like *cough * *cough* other locations.. I wish I could come here more often but it’s just so far away :( the customer service is also better too. Keep up the good work!

I live minutes away from the Suya spot and I finally tried their food today. I had fufu, egusi soup with goat, cow skin and tripe. The flavour was outstanding with the right amount of pepper. The young lady was very patient as I asked lots of questions and she answered every one. The goat was tough though but this will not stop me from going back to this newly discovered gem. The portion is large as I have leftovers for tomorrow.

Ordered for goat meat alongside sauce, onions and carnage. It came with just a burnt goat meat missing other items that was paid for. Disgraceful service.

This is NOT like the traditional Nigerian Suya that we're used to (Gosh I miss glover court Suya lol). It just feels like deep fried goatmeat and yaaji in a sauce bowl and a little pepper sauce in a sauce bowl... I don't understand why the meat is not marinated in oil and Suya spice and then grilled as Suya should be. The name is VERY MISLEADING. Their rice however is the truth. I absolutely loved it. They should have just named it Rice and goatmeat spot.

Great customer service. The owner saw us (3) waiting outside for our turn given the 3 customers restriction and he came out talked with us and took our order which he started to prepare. We then confirmed it to the Cashier as soon as we got in. Reduced the overall waiting time.

Was my first time having African food and it was absolutely amazing! I got the chicken and my friend got the goat dinner. Both were super tasty, full of flavor and the portions were fairly generous. Would definitely eat here again- highly recommend!

I just love this place! My go-to spot whenever I'm missing my homeland,I ordered the waakye, and it was delicious as always. It's a Ghanaian rice and peas dish served with goat stew, gari, spaghetti, shito pepper, plantain and boiled egg. I also got a small chicken suya, omg yummmm! Good portions, can feed 2 people and still had leftovers. This place never disappoints, and the service was friendly. I'll always be back ;)

First time I tried it was the founder came to share African culture in college. After the first trial, I found that the food was yummy and I just realised it was my first time to try African food ! I visited there today for the second time and the food was still delicious! You can see the box is full of ingredients and the price is reasonable haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Apparently this place is hit or miss. Unfortunately for me it didn’t hit this time. Beef suya was so chewy and the jollof rice didn’t have a lot of flavour it was just smoky and greasy. I will try again but with something different. UPDATE, went back a second time and got chicken suya, it was great.

I've always wanted to try West African food, and this was a good recommendation by my friend from Nigeria. The food we sampled was all great. I had the Combo 2 consisting of beef & chicken suya with jolof rice. The price was a little pricy at over $20, but I would say it was well worth it. There were a lot of food portions in the order that I was able to take some of the food to-go for eating later at home. The taste of suya was not too much different from other grilled food; however, suya still has its own distinct character. The combination of the grilled meat with the salad or coleslaw with the plantain and jolof rice was exquisite. The spice mix use was also just a little different to make suya distinct. My friend had all praises for his order of the suya wrap. The food item was very filling with generous portions of protein included in it. My only complaint was their transition into the new menu pricing and with their online order was not very smooth at all. They had a card with a QR code that should direct you to the online site for ordering, but the code was not quick to register. There was also no place on the online site to enter the discount code to get 10% off your order. The operators should have been better trained and familiar with the whole online order process and the expected interface that customers will run into.

First time here. The lady working there was very nice. I placed my order and waited in my car till it was ready and the lady came to my car and handed me the food. I was shocked. Amazing customer service given by this lady! The food was amazing too. Will be back again.

First time trying West African food, was overall a good experience. Got Combo 1 with beef suya, jollof rice, fried plantain, cabbage and onion salad, pepper sauce and pop for $21.20 plus tax. May seem a bit on the pricier side but enough food for two meals for me. They do not skimp with the meat, which was good to see. Had a strong smokey taste which was unique. The combination of the salad, rice and meat worked well. Though be very careful with the pepper sauce, it is tasty but seriously spicy!

Got the egusi and pounded yam as I am fascinated by all the videos I keep seeing of dudes eating this with a passion and excitement. I must say, I was not disappointed it was sooooooooo good. Different textures between the proteins in the dish, the flavor was stunning and the entire experience of eating it was just as awesome as the flavor. I will definitely order again, this place is a gem of Scarborough for sure and I hope in 20 years I can call this place an O.G gem of Scarborough. Stay gold 1love

Literally just finished eating here, and my husband and I ate it soo quickly! It was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of the food to post it on here (whoops). My husband and I ordered the large beef suya with a side order of jollof rice and yams. The lady that took our order was really sweet and polite. Service was prompt and pleasant. My husband asked for extra suya spice (since I am addicted to it), and he told me that the people serving him were really nice andaccommodating. They gave it to us free of charge (so kind)! As soon as my husband and I got to the car, we devoured the delicious food in a matter of minutes. The suya beef was thick cuts and cooked perfectly. It was topped with a bed of shredded cabbage and red onions, which complimented the meat very well! The suya spice tasted really good, and not overly salty like some of the ones I've tried. The jollof rice was perfectly cooked, tomato-based and had a unique smokiness to it. The yams were thickly-cut, golden-yellow and super soft on the inside. This is the best suya spot in the GTA hands-down! Thank you Suya Spot for a delectable experience! 10/10. Will ensure to come back for more!

Went here for my first time and very disappointed. Got goat suya, puff puff and meat pie. The puff puff was a burnt greasy disappointment, the goat suya was literally chopped up goat meat with bone, not suya at all. The meat pie wasn’t too bad. All in all I wouldn’t go back, it seems like they don’t have enough staff working for the demand and perhaps quality is suffering because of that

Beware of spice cooked with the meat if you are not accustomed to spice. Get it on the side. Amazing food

I have been to this place before and always liked it, thus went back but this time it was total disappointment. Not only they cut down the quantity of the large box ($23!) by nearly half they now charge for sauces! I asked over the phone if its i included and they said yes and when I pay the bill I see extra charge for sauces. The quality of the food also degraded. Would not recommend this place and will not go here again.

Fast and quick Nigerian food . The beef Suya is superb and same with the puff puff. My only issue is the Jollof rice , salty paradise and I guess it’s just one off .
