Small rooms, not worth the price. Apart from location and parking facility, not a great place to stay. The rooms were too small and toilets were as small as a cupboard and showers were leaking. No elevator and it has only spiral stairs. No kettle in the room, only a common untidy kettle was kept for use in the lobby area along with other compliments. It is over expensive.

A mediocre cheap hotel that costs a lot. Perhaps that's normal for Brussels. It is clean and has friendly staff, but this is not a hotel. It is some sort of a repurposed old factory. Only good if you passing by for one night

WARNING, LONG REVIEW VERY DESCRIPTIVE. AT THE BOTTOM THERE US A SUMMARY. So far so good. The employees are very nice. They have many amenities. The idea is fun, a hotel for kids, but there are some problems. They have two stairs but no elevator. Supposed to be fun, so if you have no kids it’s not good for you. The room numbers are confusing like 5 heart or 10 diamond and things like that. I think each floor is one shape. But you are not allowed food in the rooms, the rooms as are annoying and only good for sleeping, and there are gambling things everywhere you go. At this point it’s not for kids. They give you free drinks in a kids ikea cup and you can only drink in lobby cuz the cups are reusable. Also the drinks include things like beer. There are useless monitors. But downstairs there are many board games and puzzles and activities like that. The key is an old Nokia phone, with an nfc sticker at the back so you can unlock the hotel. To open the front door of the hotel you dial 2 on the Nokia. It has many free amenities like breakfast, parking, drinks, and free calling to Belgium (with Nokia)The employees were helpful, providing help for our big luggage. SUMMARY: Good for kids. If you’re alone don’t get. It’s not normal and it’s quite childish and a gambling and alcohol promotion.

Excellent hotel. The clue is in the title! It's a fun place to stay with friendly, helpful people running it. The decor, the refreshments on tap, even kid friendly too, I'd recommend staying here.

Check-in: 5/5 Room standard: 4/5 (for a 2-star hotel) Quiet: 5/5 Breakfast: 2/5 Great service at the reception. Staff speaks both English and French fluently. In the reception area there's a quirky atmosphere with a great selection of board games, and a fridge that offers a wide selection of cold and hot beverages free of charge. Rooms are clean, and beds are comfortable though lack of doors in the bathroom area may be a bit tricky if you are travelling with people you are not 100% comfortable with.

The staff were very friendly, the hotel decoration was just fantastic, very colorful, the location was relatively good. The room was very spacious and there was no noises. Toilets were well equipped with shower gels and shampoos. The breakfast was nice, and you can eat and drink, coffee, tea, beers, etc. anytime you want. Very generous! I like the key, it's a fund key indeed! In general, it was a nice experience. Nothing bad to mention.

Good location, wonderful hospitality. I have had wonderful stay in Fun Key. The staff are super friendly and are very kind to us, which makes me enjoy the time. Moreover, the breakfast are very good. Options provided are sufficient and there's many fruits available, which is a plus.

The hotel was centered around games, both boardgames and Gameboy. The decor was vibrant and cheerful. The lovely gentleman, whose name started with a "G" was so very helpful and very friendly. The distance to the Grand-Place is about 2km. My only issue was room #8. Not only was there a heat wave, but my room faced the sun the entire day, felt like a sauna. There were fans, which moved the heat around, but I found myself hanging downstairs to avoid my room until evening. There is no air conditioning.

this is a motel not a hotel. The gentleman from the reception was bothered that we were talking late in the evening in the "garden" (in the next garden people were louder and other people were playing games inside). old cabinets in the rooms, no door between the room and the shower, dirty table and chairs in the "garden". relatively good location, it is not a place for young people, we did not eat breakfast (too many people in a small room). if you want to come by car, you have to pay the eco vignette 50e pet day

Overall wonderful place. Very family friendly. No elevator, rather a spiral staircase. Breakfast included. Open coffee/tea station, complimentary beer, friendly service. Comfortable.

Very nice place. I perceived the owner to be patient and polite in any regard. The rooms are functional and clean, there are free drinks and food in a shared kitchen. Would stay here again. Thank you!

Very clean and convenient, 40 minute walk from centre, but quiet and fun stay. There's board games and videogames in common areas.

Hello, we booked room for 2 nights & 3 days. While every stay is costly in central brussels, we found perfect hotel Funkey. I say proudly that, this is the best hotel I have stayed till now. Firstly the hospitality of the people while welcoming is great. We have breakfast served (Lot of varieties) in the morning from 07:00 - 11:00, there is dining area cum play area for kids and adults with various card games. A lot of soft drinks, candies and Belgian beer is available for free to be picked up from fridge. You are not allowed to eat inside the rooms, since the carpets are quite good to be damaged. The rooms are spacious and provided eve with monitor for working. I would say its best family stay, I see lot of families with kids enjoy here. Reception is open all 24h. We checked out at 03:00 in the morning, no problem. They give you a Nokia mobile as key holder to the room and it comes with Belgian sim, so we can call any Belgian local numbers. You can even open the main door of the hotel by pressing 2 on keypad and call. The hotel is of two floors. Entrance is filled with hanging teddy bears, one of a kind :D

We (family of five) loved our stay here! If we go back to Brussels, we would definitely stay again. Everything was very convenient and many elements were perfect for our children (hello games room). The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating.

Brilliant hotel. They have a ton of games for the kids and a great area to hang out. Great breakfast and things available to drink all day. Even beer is free.

Great hotel, with good prices. A lot of choice for the breakfast, juices, milks, tea and coffee are available all day long. You can play boardgames and videogames. You have a small back garden with a small pond. I had a great stay in the hotel.

The whole atmosphere is great! Perfect for families with smaller children. The rooms are nice but they need improvement. Especially the bed linen, it was all torn up in some place. Nice breakfast as well.

Instead of a useless TV, there is a monitor with an HDMI cable in the room to plug your laptop! This adds so much confort! Overall good experience.

Perfect place for a family to stay in Brussels. We were able to keep our young children happy during our stay. The staff was very friendly and we were very comfortable there.

Excellent hotel with a modern concept of hosting its guests, providing table and video games, foods and beverages are included in the daily price. Cleanness was perfect, smelling like a nice laundry room. The only minor thing was the exhaust system that didn't work, keeping after shower moisture inside room.

This was by far the most fun hotel we've stayed. Games, refreshments and even beer are all included in the stay, and available at all hours. Perfect for families, our daughter especially loved the play area. The staff was amazing, friendly and super helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The carpets throughout are a signature touch adding to the fun.

Great hotel! Friendly replies to the emails, very welcome stuff on arrival and during our stay. Free parking, nice breakfast and you can have drinks all day long. Big room, comfortable bed and supper home away from home feeling. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Very nice hotel for young people and families with children. The people who run it are very nice and friendly and the location convenient. The rooms were clean and tidy, ideal for a short stay and the breakfast simple and nice as expected

Breakfast was really good; fresh fruits, cheese and bread and more. Rooms were clean and wide, suitable for group stays. Staff was very friendly. Plus, at the lobby the common space was very nice to chill and play some board or consol games!

Fun(ky), friendly and quirky. Lots of colour and games, free beer, juice, tea or coffee. Electronic door locking through a mobile phone they provide, which also gives free phone calls. Steep spiral staircase to upper floors, no lift.

Seriously cool hotel as they said. Well it is 100% true! Nice, large rooms, nice stuff, great food and beverages. You can always have a good beer after a long day and you'll find your partner to talk, play table games or just to hanging out. Best hotel in Brussels, I never ever going to stay anywhere else.

From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The room, the service, the breakfast, the free parking the staff were all outstanding.

If I could live here permanently, I would. The hotel is a budget hotel and as long as you book the place with that in mind you'll have a great time. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The bathrooms are small but offer enough room to move around. The toilet has a light sensor, so you probably need to wave your arms when you're using it to avoid sitting in the dark ;-) The lobby looks like a preschool classroom, full of colour. There are consoles for video games and board games so you can hang out and have some fun in the evening. Beers and other drinks are free which is great! Snacks are free too and they bake fresh cake too. Breakfast doesn't offer too much variety but hey, it's free! All in all, I would love to visit Brussels again, and I would definitely stay here again!
