Loved it! Make sure to book early and follow all the instructions on confirming your reservation. Once you realize there's only 5 tables total, it's completely understandable why they need to double confirm every reservation. Get the white chocolate ice cream. Heck, get it twice!

The BEST restaurant in south lake tahoe. We tried multiple restaurants in town and generally their impressions were good but this Cafe Fiore nailed it. Their filet minon is a must-try, the best steak I've had for medium-well. So tender and juicy. I loved their other dishes and desserts. Personally Izabella is better for Garlic bread because their red sauce is so good. But others are better at Cafe Fiore. The servers...what can I tell? They are on top of all things and made our time so luxurious and enjoyable. I realized they left me THREE voice messages on the day of reservation but I guess it's overkill, even though its needed for they only have limited tables. Other than that, yes I highly highly recommend you try this place. Book in advance!

My girlfriend and I celebrated her birthday at Cafe Fiore two days ago, and we both enjoyed the experience. Our server, John, was polite and attentive, yet not overbearing. He even presented a complimentary dessert for my girlfriend after we decided we were full, especially from eating two hours before. I rarely tip, but I left a decent tip because John's catering added value to our experience. The outdoor patio had a nice ambiance that my girlfriend particularly enjoyed. Cafe Fiore has a couple of vegan options, too, and is willing to accommodate. Highly recommend for a formal dining experience in Tahoe.

Amazing food, very cosy place. Superb service and everything is just perfect. I’ll recommend all couple to check out this place whilst at Lake Tahoe (make reservation because tables are pretty limited!) Recommended dishes - Swordfish - Garlic bread - Tiramisu - Linguine chicken

A very nice and cozy place for a romantic date. The hospitality here was the best I’ve seen. They have great authentic Italian food with a good selection of wines and plenty of vegetarian options. Since they make every dish to order, they allow you to customize everything the way you like. Would recommend reserving a table well in advance as there are only 7 tables here. The portion sizes are very good and one pasta dish was enough for the two of us. The desserts are a must try

Not only is the food always great but the people are so accommodating and wonderful. Also lots of great art work for sale at crazy low prices. Extensive wine list. Update: We had the opportunity to go back last night 6/21/23. Great experience! The Ravioli appetizer was crazy good. You could hear people through out the restaurant exclaiming how good it was. The Swordfish was the star of the meal. I am a fish eater who usually does not do a meaty fish. The swordfish was soft and delicate.

Great service, great food. Cute, intimate, romantic dinner spot. Hubby tried the halibut special, I had the veal saltimbocca. These came with choice of soup or salad and we chose the salad with a gorgonzola dressing that was delicious. As a starter we had garlic bread and caprese salad. Don't miss out on dessert, we split the white chocolate ice cream which was creamy and topped with berries as well as the pear which was refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. Would recommend.

Cafe Fiore is a hidden gem in Lake Tahoe. The staff is friendly and the wine and food are great. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Cafe Fiore is definitely the best place to eat in Lake Tahoe. The restaurant is small, but it's always in demand because it's so popular. Cafe Fiore serves Italian food, and the pasta is cooked perfectly. The sauce is flavorful and the vegetables are fresh. The bread is also delicious. Cafe Fiore also has a great wine list. The wines are reasonably priced and the selection is good. Cafe Fiore is the perfect place to go for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. It's definitely worth checking out if you're ever in Lake Tahoe!

This restaurant is an absolutely must if your visiting South Lake. The restaurant is small so the staff is able to provide amazing service. We loved every dish that we ordered.

The atmosphere is great at this place, reserve a table for outside if the weather permits. Definitely call ahead and reserve a table or see if there is room for you. The meatballs are some of the best I’ve ever had and the seafood in the seafood pasta dish we got was all cooked really well, the only misstep was the sauce was a tad bland. The deserts were delicious, we tried the tiramisu and their homemade white chocolate ice cream, definitely try those. The service was fantastic and overall a good dining experience

Small place just off the main street but they're in the running for BEST ITALIAN in the country! Great wine selection, great service and atmosphere and an excellent waiter with great recommendations and fresh ingredients and ideas for your dining pleasure. Highly recommended! Must have reservations!

The most intimate and charming restaurant in America. The food is amazing, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is second to none. Hands down the best restaurant this world traveler has ever had the pleasure of visiting... and it's here in South Lake. 5 stars all day long.

We came twice to this amazing Italian restaurant during our 3-night stay in Tahoe. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions generous, the service was outstanding ! Waiters were very professional and genuinely caring. The place is small and cosy, our overall experience was a delight ! Worth mentioning they have a great selection of wines, and amazing deserts too. Our waiter convinced us to try their home made white chocolate ice cream, I am still craving for it right now ! I highly highly recommend this restaurant.

We spent the evening of our wedding there tonight and could barely wait to post a review! Absolutely adorable and romantic atmosphere. The food was superb and we cant recommend just one thing as it was all unbelievably amazing. But most importantly - the service was impeccable and everyone was so genuine and made our special day perfect. We can not thank Cafe Fiore enough and can’t wait to return (maybe tomorrow)! Dinner at Cafe Fiore was a unique and wonderful experience that was worth every penny. My husband I had dinner here on February 20th for his birthday at a snowy time, where we navigated through high walls of snow to get inside this cozy cabin-style restaurant. We were warmly greeted and led to our table, which was one of maybe six. We received the most amazing, kind service from everyone there. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was warm, cozy, yet elegant. Specifically the garlic bread, eggplant crepes, and garlic and oil angel hair were so delicious. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in Lake Tahoe.

I don’t give a lot of reviews and only when I really like a restaurant—and after finding this lovely restaurant on Google and getting lucky to get a reservation…they earned it. We had the Swordfish and the Filet Mignon a la Florentine. The wine selection is amazing. We broke our sugar-free nutrition plan for the hand-churned homemade ice cream. It was definitely worth every spoon. It was also served with complementary espresso. The setting is kind and lovely. And the service is impeccable. Our server, Spencer, is new there but he was knowledgeable about wine and the menu. He was professional, pleasant and friendly. The chef Gilberto came out to say hi to friends and we got to meet him and thank him for our delicious meal. The art garden behind the restaurant is lovely and the artist is the chef. Needless to say, we highly recommend Cafe Fiore.

I had previously been here 2 years ago, and the service was exemplary. Not sure what changed, but I will never come back. My friend and I tried to order a drink on the patio at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. They were busy inside but nobody was outside. We asked if we could simply order a glass of wine, pay, and sit outside on the empty patio where there was a bonfire set up for a seemingly cosy atmosphere. We were told that was not possible because they "were too busy and that would have taken up another table." We again politely explained we did not need follow-up service and simply wanted to pay for a drink. They said no. We were denied service there for absolutely no obvious reason. I would never recommend this restaurant in the future because of my experience tonight. To put it simply, we wanted to give your business money, and we were refused.

After reading several good words about the Café fiero-S. Lake Tahoe, we made a reservation (07/31). As all said in their reviews it is in a very small setting, tables are close each other more than you wish to be. We were seated front of the restroom. Practically, I was seeing the people going in and out. They should not put a table in that location where was the worst in the room. The best seat must be reserved for a guest who made the reservation several days before the time. Let others who dropped in the last min sit in front of the rest room or place a Japanese Separator front of this WC door. The food introduction was good and plenty; the service was also good. The server lady never left us without water etc but not friendly with us. Yet, I did not give two stars for that, my two stars go to the location of our table. Also, some guests got way more attention by the servers than others. An explanation from the restaurant manager/owner will save my speculation, please. Food was excellent!! Base on server's recommendation, my husband and I got sword fish which was the best we have ever had; specifically capers present a very blended taste. The bill was over than the expectation we simply paid $175 to this dinner without any desert or drink!! I recommend this restaurant to all who like Italian and good food.
