Staying and riding with Steel Horse was the highlight of our honeymoon. Yvette checked in with us to make sure all our desires were met. They were, plus some. The company of Picasso the friendly farm kitty was the cherry on top. Hugo was a fantastic, safe, and thoughtful guide. The horses, humans, and animals seem to be living in paradise. Happy to have stayed for even a moment.

Great range!!! We had a lovely ride (3-hours, but they have many shorter or longer options!). Beautiful views and well-trained horses. The guide took our wishes seriously regarding galloping etc. so that was really fun. At the same time he took care of us and the horses and made sure the circumstances were safe before we started galloping. They also have caps for you to wear and they even have ponchos in case it starts raining. In our case it did but it made the views even more spectacular in my opinion. I would love to go back some day for a longer ride or even a multi-day ride. The horses look really well cared for and healthy and they use quality equipment. Would definitely recommend!!! One of the greater outdoor horse riding experiences I had!

I had an awesome trail ride. It was a 6 hour ride through the beautiful landscape including fantastic lunch. But most importantly the horses were amazing. Well cared for, eager to walk and reacting very finely to legs and hands. I would love to come back!

Beautiful finca in a stunning setting - peaceful and relaxing, with the three loveliest dogs, and of course, the wonderful horses. We had an incredible day on the Journey to the River trek with Hugo, and Patricia and Yvette took excellent care of us. We adored our time here and would love to come back. Come here for a real riding experience - the horses are doted on and well looked after, and the riding was a challenging, fun, proper adventure. Please do think of staying here if you're passing through Filandia - you won't regret it.

We had the most beautiful time at Steel Horse Colombia. The ranch had a lovely relaxed vibe, the horses were well looked after and the views on our trek were stunning. It was my boyfriends first time on a horse and he’s already got the riding bug! Thanks to Yvette and the team ☺️

I stayed at the ranch for two amazing weeks. The lace is so peacefull, beautiful rooms, amazing staff and just a wonderful atmosphere! The horses are treated very well, and the rides are amazing and adventurous. I was part of an amazing 5 day yoga and horses retreat and it was so wonderful. I met so many wonderful people here :) Thank you Yvette and the rest of the Steel Horse team !

The best way to experience Filandia-do not miss it!! Views are beautiful and you truly get an escape in nature. The host Yvette helped us navigate everything from transportation to food recommendations. The room was tidy and comfortable, the grounds are gorgeous. And there are 3 friendly+adorable dogs!! We did the journey to the river horseback ride which was also 10/10. As a first timer I was a bit nervous, but the guide was very knowledgeable and the horses have great personalities. They’re very well cared for, it was well worth the price for such happy horses, a swim in the river, and a delicious lunch! Walk into town is about 40 minutes, but very beautiful and one of my favourite parts of the stay.

We had an amazing time at steel horse. I went there for yoga lessons, which were exactly what I needed. We stayed in a beautiful room and the house was great. The animals are treated nicely and there are dogs and a cat that are very welcoming :-) I would definitely recommend!

I have had the opportunity to stay & work with Yvette several times! Steel Horse is a magical and peaceful place. The horses are amazing! The sunsets have the most beautiful colors! The silence and stillness of early morning and during the night are exquisite. Yvette is an amazing host who wants to make her guests feel at home. A recommended place for lovers of nature, peace, and, animals.

I enjoyed a beautiful 2 hour ride in this lovely location. My guide Hugo and I didn’t speak each others languages but hand signals worked fine. The views were wonderful and Hugo took loads of pictures for me. The horse was well behaved and coped with traffic and dogs. It got a bit spooked at the end by a chainsaw but Hugo dealt with that. Overall a great experience - recommended.

We had such a brilliant day riding with Steel Horse Tours. The horses were perfect, and well matched for each of our experience levels. The landscape on the full day El Rio ride is so beautiful, and we saw kingfishers, mot mots and many tanagers as we rode. The packed lunch was also so delicious and filling - 2 different kinds of meat, plantain, potatoes, rice - so much better than we were expecting. Our guide was lovely and we felt in very good hands, and all communication beforehand was quick and easy. Thanks for a wonderful day!

Yvette and her team are lovely and will make sure you are feeling comfortable at all times. The Finca and surroundings are absolutely stunning and the horses have great personalities. My highlight of my trip through Colombia. The farm was super beautiful and all the animals super lovely. The horses were in a very good physical condition and very well educated (western style). I’m an experienced rider but never sat on a horse, which was western style educated. These horses on the farm react instantly on every slight movement of reins and shift of weight. It’s like guiding them with a joystick 😅So for everyone who I plans going there: Please don’t pull and tug on the reins. It’s not necessary! My two day trips with the horses were just amazing in every way! Hugo, the guide, was a kind guy, showed me breath talking places and followed my wishes. Yvette (I think the owner) was super helpful and available at any time even if she hasn’t been there during my stay! So all in all: I would always come back!!! Thanks for this amazing stay!

Steel Horse is great place to stay. We took a 3 hour ride. Were served a wonderful dinner and enjoyed the company of other guests. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is exceptional. Great place to relax and experience Colombia's wonderful county side.

The Ranch was absolutely amazing!! We loved the place with beautiful mountain views! Its so tranquil, calm and relaxing! Yvette is awesome and the horse rides are just magical!! All animals on the Ranch are so cute and well behaved!! We can highly recommend this place for everyone! Fantastic to connect with nature or also just read a book in one of the many places to chill out!

If you are looking to have your vacation in a magical place with incredible view from your window, Steel Horse need to be your first choice! We had such an amazing time there! It’s stars with a beautiful area full with mountains and the hotel himself is so warm and comfortable. We took the tore with the horses and it’s been an amazing experience for us! Is was our first time on a horse And Yvette was so Attentive and sensitive. I want to really thank you for everything again, we will definitely come back next year

I stayed at Steel Horse Colombia for a week, including 5 days of riding, and it was one of the best things I did in Colombia. I highly recommend Yvette's finca to others; you will not regret coming here! First, the finca is beautiful, with multiple hammocks to relax in, good wi-fi, a well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable/ clean rooms. The best part was riding with Yvette and Hugo. There are eight beautiful, well behaved horses at SHC, and Yvette looks after them so well. You know you're riding a loved and very well cared for horse. Each day of riding was diverse but gorgeous, and it included riding through small towns, coffee farms, and jungle-like neighborhoods. It is absolutely an amazing way to see parts of Colombia that I would have otherwise not known about. One highlight was camping overnight at a coffee farm with the horses, including a tour of the coffee production process and soaking in all the beauty that the Colombian coffee region has to offer. Lastly, Yvette was super helpful to prepare meals for me during my week there that met my dietary restrictions (vegetarian and gluten free). Everything was delicious and super fresh! And, finally, since I was not traveling in my own vehicle, Yvette arranged my transportation to/ from the airport - as well as a day trip to the Cocora Valley. Everything was totally seamless. Do yourself a favor and book a few days - or ideally longer! - at Steel Horse Colombia. Yvette will make sure you see some of the most beautiful parts of Colombia in the best way possible... on horseback!

Wow what an amazing experience! My partner and I stayed over night at the ranch and went on a 3 hour horse ride and it was incredible! Yvette went above and beyond to help arrange to get us there and back from Salento! Could not recommend enough! The ranch was beautiful and the horses were incredible well cared for!

We actually had the plan to stay in Salento, then we found this finca next to the village Filandia. Filandia is a beautiful village with all you need. Supermarket, fruit store nice Cafe‘s and good Restaurants and it is beautiful. Without luggage it‘s a nice walk to the finca, with luggage there are some jeep taxis that can take you to the finca for 20.000 pesos. We stayed longer then planned, booked an amazing horsebackride with yivette for a whole Day. We were Riding through the cafe and avocado fields in the gorgeous landscape of the Columbian Café area. Yivette (the owner of steel horse) has chosen the horses wisely so everyone had fun. The rooms are big at the finca and the community area is even bigger! The stuff is lovely and helpful! I had a great time at Steel horse colombia and was really sad to leave. Yvette is just so lovely, helped me out with any question I had and even gave me a ride into town a couple times. The 3 dogs and the horses are just as lovely and great to have them around. The 3 hours horse ride along some paths and fields was amazing - especially the views. Yvette's homemade pancakes are the best and I hope I'll come back soon :)

Thanks to my girlfriend we found this beautiful place, we spend 1 week in here , just 10 minutes from filandia, when you get there you are surrounded just by nature and beautiful view, great and peaceful for relax on hamaca after a long day out, johana my gf has experience w horses so one day we decided to have a horseride in the surrounding and was very worth it,Yvette was very attentive and gave us some info about the surrounding, we even saw a beautiful sunset sooo romantic 😍 they have others animals like dogs, wich I love and the little Harry was my favorite 😍 about the house itself I love the country/Colombian style and we felt very welcomed, like a home, since the first moment. Muchas gracias all!! I def raccomend this place 👍🏼

I had an amazing full day ride with Yvette ! It was very easy to communicate with her via WhatsApp to arrange a day, and it was convenient and hassle free to get to the farm from filandia (40min walk, very safe). The horses are all beautiful and extremely well trained and cared for. Although I sadly didn’t have time to spend the night, the farm seemed really homely and surrounded by stunning nature. Would totally recommend for any horse lover (or novice) interested in seeing the local region in an authentic way away from the crowds.

Yvette was amazing! She was able to accommodate us on such a short notice! Highly recommend for an authentic view of Filandia.The environment for the horses was about as good as it gets and they were treated like family. The horses were great breads and they all have super fun personalities. The staff was beyond friendly and very knowledgeable and extremely caring towards their beautiful horses! We will be going back soon for one of Yvette’s multi day trips! Can’t recommend enough!

Our stay at Steel Horse was great. The house is lovely, set in serene surroundings on the outskirts of Filandia. The social space is welcoming and comfortable and you feel instantly at home. Yvette is a fantastic host and makes you feel like part of the family. Absolutely recommend taking the horseback tour to Finca Terra Nativa. We were sad not to be staying longer!

Beautiful and quiet place 10 minutes (by jeep) from Filandia. After many days in the cities, Steel Horse has been such a relief because you are surrounded by beautiful nature. Incredible horseback riding tours! :) I did a 3 hours horseback riding tour together with Yvette. I didn’t had much experience with horses but she Yvette makes you feel comfortable and is very welcomed. - The area and landscapes are stunning. I can really recommend it and will come back on my next trip to Colombia.
